And I'm back! In full! Camp was fun... though hard. Some days were really hard. I'm just going to put a short summary here...

We went on a three day hiking trip, and though the longest day was three hours... it felt a lot longer. The last day... I got sick. With strep throat. I went to the hospital and got some antibiotics, and felt better in a few days... the next week, we left on a four day canoeing trip... with portages. Oh how I hate portages... the longest was 400m, and though it doesn't sound like much... it was a pain. We also had two REALLY long paddling days... 10 hours, and 8 hours... but you don't get as tired easily paddling as you do hiking... We got back, and three nights later (after two in a cottage) I got back! And I'm here now...

excellent story... or not... XD

And once again a list!

It's A List & Camping

...I like making lists. I find they keep me oriented to my goal, otherwise... well, I sort of just wander off around Mizahar. I've spent an hour or two doing that before, and accomplished nothing... which slightly annoys me, because of all the wasted time. However, I've noticed that if I make a list for myself, all that stuff gets done much quicker than it would have before... sooo I'm making a list. When the list is cleared, I'll make another, or edit this one... because I always have stuff to do :)

And that list:

+ Reply to "I Hate Dogs"
+ Reply to "Rescue Mission"
+ Work on Spirit's solo
+ Develop Avanthal something
+ Develop Nyka something
+ Work on CS
+ Grade :D

...I think that's it.

Anyways, onto the next topic. Camping. I'm going on a camping trip for three nights starting tomorrow, meaning I'll be back on Friday! So no posts while I'm away, sorry :)

- Day 01
The best book you read this year

This was a hard one... but I came up with one, though with a few exceptions. I'm not actually FINISHED it yet, but I'm working on it. Second, I'm not technically 'reading' it. I'm listening... I really like audio-books :)

Enchantress

By Michael Scott

Image

Though Enchantress comes from a series of books generally geared for a slightly younger age, I still really like it... The plot is excellent, and I really like the setting... (I'm not going into any specifics here to not spoil it) but my favorite part is the timeline. The whole series of about 5(?) books is set within a week. And these are decently long books. The characters look back on the previous book and are amazed that it's still the same day. You also get that feeling, almost like looking back on a long day and marveling how long ago breakfast was.

A book that you’ve read more than three times

Honestly... I don't know how many times I've read this, but I'm pretty sure it's been more than three :)

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

By J.K.Rowling

This was a good book. I still think it's a good book, and because of that... well, you can see I've read it a number of times. Nothing else to say here, really :)

- Day 03
Your favorite series

It's only three books, but still one of my favorites... I'm actually re-reading (listening) to the first at the moment :)

The Beka Cooper Series

By Tamora Pierce

Image

These three were all quite lengthy, and good books, with some serious plots. They were, to be simple, murder mysteries, but.... less 'Sherlock Holmes' than a group of 'police' (they're called Dogs in the book) who figure out all this stuff. It's actually quite good, and is part of a series of series set in a land called Tortall... there's actually about 5 series set in that world, but this is a few hundred years before the other four.

- Day 04
Favorite book of your favorite series

Odd, since it's the second book, but I really preferred this one...

Bloodhound

By Tamora Pierce

Image

I liked this one especially, as it was better than the first book, and without as ... irritating an ending as the last. It's based in a different city from the first, following counterfit coins and such, but there turns out to be a pretty serious plot going on. I enjoyed the writing, and the story, so found it the best of all three!

List

+ Work on Spirit's solo (I)
+ Work on other solo
+ Develop Bestiary
+ Reply to "As Hope Lay Dying"
+ Reply to "Just another day in Paradise"

+ Reply to "How many Puppies?"

- Day 05
A book that makes you happy

I couldn't think of anything for this one, so I delayed it a day... day 6 is coming up next!

Bitterblue

By Kristin Cashore

No image for this one... I liked the ending for this. Though everything didn't work out 'perfectly', it did turn out quite well, considering. I liked how the main character figured out her life, and ended up managing everything well. It always makes me really happy at this part...
