The definition of a philterer interested Spirit, but she was still slightly confused. How did one actually make them? What did they use? It seemed pretty complicated, and slightly confusing, so she decided to leave the creation for Liyana… she doubted she could ever successfully make something. However, the Frostfawn narrowed her eyes slightly at the mention of a ‘Love Potion’. Somehow, she doubted it would create true love. Maybe just desire and stuff like that. Fake love. She slightly disapproved of this, finding it almost like tricking someone, forcing them to do things they wouldn’t normally do. Though her new friend seemed to like this idea, the younger became slightly more cautious, and a little less friendly.
Though she stayed silent, Spirit raised an eyebrow at Liyana’s proposed flavoring. Triple-twirly sapphire-gold spicy-chocolate flavoring? She’d visited the Tasty Flakes recently, and sort of doubted they’d care for such a taste. It sounded strange, and they only had fruit flavours, right? They were delicious like that, and adding something so funny could possibly even degrade their business. From the other Vantha’s description of the owner’s reaction, it didn’t smell that delicious either. Smell equalled taste, right?
The Frostfawn considered hanging back as her friend left, but decided to take a chance as she quickly followed behind. Though most Vanthas she knew were kind, she was slightly dubious about this one, despite her good intentions. She should just not take any exotic potion offered to her…. Right? Still, she was uncertain, and slightly suspicious to boot.
She walked into Liyana’s Arvinta, not too surprised by its contents. It was quite like any other Arvinta, though the bed was slightly lower than her own… though that was built for Wind to sleep under, and really was only common in her hold. She listened to Liy’s words without much emotion, feeling awkward at being in someone else’s home. Despite the fact that the lady could be considered a friend, she was still practically a stranger. Ignoring the invitation to get comfortable, she stood only a few feet from the door awkwardly, hands clasped behind her back. It would be so much better if Wind was with her….
When the woman returned from another room, Spirit’s heart sank. She was carrying a bottle…. Oh dear. The Philterer actually wanted her to try something. And was that… beer? What? She was only sixteen, and basically never drank. She heard the explanation, but took it in with more than a pinch of salt. How did she know it wasn’t some potion to make her do something stupid? Though she was a trusting person, this was going too far for the young groom. Way too far.
”Uhhh no thanks, I’m…. good” She informed her friend, taking a step back and waving her hands. It was easier just to deny, and the distrusting look she gave the two liquids was obvious. Maybe she should just leave… But that would be so rude! The Frostfawn felt a lot like she was stuck in between a rock and a hard place. She should just have been smarter, and not come along, and this would have been much easier, right? Maybe… made an excuse about her tree or something. Many ‘What If’s flooded through her mind in this awkward situation, just as she was attempting to think of a way out.
