DisclaimerBy joining this open thread, you are agreeing to a few rules (in addition to those of Mizahar and Zeltiva of course). There is a posting order, you will always reply after the same person, unless a new person jumps in, then they are added to that spot in the posting order list. Now, I'm not going to add a hard amount of time you need to reply, but please keep it reasonable, I don't want anyone waiting unduly. If you disappear for too long, I will skip over you. Keep in mind that the more people that join the thread, the shorter the reply time becomes, just to be fair and reasonable to everyone here. Respect these rules, your fellow writers, and most importantly, have fun!

Leila woke up with a slight hangover, a mild headache, and little memory of what happened the night before. But she shook it off, knowing she had a long and busy day ahead. She quickly put on her sundress, and let Shaco out to take care of his morning business. Leila grabbed her backpack, stuffing as many of her belongings as she could into it, not worrying about being neat or organized. She knew she'd have to make at least two more trips to move all of her things into her new home. She grabbed Shaco's leash, threw the backpack over her shoulders, and then stepped outside into the foggy morning air, Syna just beginning to rise. She took a deep breath of the air, as Shaco walked up to her, looking up at her expectingly. She put his leash on him, "Ready to move into your new home hun?" He barked once at her, happily, "Yeah, me too boy, me too." She rubbed his head, and started toward her newly finished shop.

She didn't think many people would show up to help get ready, after all people had their own jobs, their own lives, their own responsibilities. However, as her shop came into sight, she saw a few familiar faces, all of which brought a smile to her face. The first was a man she'd met last season while working at World's End Grotto. A huge man, all muscle and hair, with a smile that seemed to take up his entire being. It was Kris, though anybody he considered a friend knew him only as Hammer. He was a shipwright, one who specialized in working with the keel of a ship.

"Why hello there auburn beauty! Up and early, that's a great start!"

Leila let out a girlish squeal, and excitedly ran up to him, and embraced him in a tight hug, her arms not even coming close to wrapping around his torso. It felt like she was hugging a stone statue, but his own embrace was gentle, friendly. When she broke the hug, she looked down, spotting wispy white hair and a shiny dome center of a head. Her smile grew wider, despite the fact she didn't even know this man's name. He'd sold her some purple kelp the day she'd met Ariann, and her second date with Ricky. She quickly stifled the negative emotions associated with his name, and bent down, kissing the man on the top of his head. "It's a pleasure for you to show up Captain. I'm afraid I was rude in our last meeting, and didn't catch your name. I will say that the kelp you sold me was divine, what did you call that again? Fat Betty?"

He smiled up at her, "The name is Captain Albert, though I prefer to go by Betty. And of course I would show up, I couldn't wait to see those hips of yours at eye level again. But a man doesn't accept free food, so I'll be helping." He laughed heartily, and Leila joined him, though a blush still crept up her chest and cheeks. She then turned to the third and final man in the group. He was taller than her, though middle of the men. He had silver swept hair, a shadow of a beard, and a tired, yet jovial face. His name was Gerardt, but Leila only knew him as, "Daddy!" She dropped Shaco's leash, and leapt into a tight hug with her father. He gripped her tight, rubbing the top of her head as he did when she was a girl, "Hello Princess, it is so good to see you again." He kissed the top of her head, while she hid tears of joys in his chest, "I'm so proud of you Leila, I know you'll be a much bigger success than me. And I'm here to help you any way I can."

After several long, happy moments, Leila broke off the hug, stepped back while Shaco was busy sniffing at the men, hoping they'd pet him. Her father started, "We're all here to help you get ready for your big day, just tell us what you need us to do, and we'll do it. Although, it looks like we aren't the only ones helping..." He was looking over her shoulder, and Leila turned to see who was arriving.
