Timestamp: Summer 16, 513 AV Leila was sitting with her knees bent and her journal in her lap as she stared at the foxglove in her herb garden. It wasn't very tall, only about a foot and half, and it was just beginning to bloom. She always liked the lilac colored flowers of this plant, them reminding her of a woman's dress, long, flowing, drifting toward the ground. She'd left a sign on the front of her shop stating that she was outback if needed. The sun was high, and she wanted to spend some time drawing her plants, to work on her herbal compendium. She'd bought a blank book earlier this morning just for that reason. She decided to dedicate two pages, front and back, to each her she decided to add. The first page would be for drawings of the plant, and the second page would be for herbal information, growing instructions, and where to find it in the wild. If she could make it complete enough, then her life would be much easier. So here she sat, on the first page of her book, which she'd titled, The Hughes Herbal Compendium, trying to decide where to start on the drawing. She still was fairly new to drawing, but she didn't care, she'd leave the back side of the first page for when she'd gotten better. "So missus foxglove, how would you like me to draw you today? Full portrait? Close up of your ample treasures? Where do you think would be a good place to start?" Others might've found it odd to hear a woman talking to a plant, but Leila had always felt that if you treated your plants, and animals, like you would a child, then they would grow up just as healthy. So she could often be found talking to them, singing to them, worrying about them. They were her babies, as was Shaco. And by the gods, she was going to treat them right.
