Viper couldn't help but chuckle lightly, when she tried to stand. Still, stifling the action, he held firm her hand so that she could stabilize herself. A wink from her along with the comment about him being lucky had him reply simply with a light snicker. As they walked he took her hand and rapped it around his waist. "Don't take this the wrong way Sep. Just trying to help ya walk, so don't worry." He then rapped his hand around her shoulder to make sure she wouldn't lose her balance. And also to confirm for her he wasn't trying anything sly.
The cool night air outside the tavern was actually a welcome thing. He always began to feel somewhat uncomfortably warm after drinking alcohol. And the refreshing breeze against his face always seemed to be the thing that finally whisked away the last of the troubles of the day. He continued to guide Septimus back toward the direction of her barracks when she inquired about being a heavyweight and getting used to alcohol.
With a slight shrug he answered. "Honestly...it really depends on the person. Some get used to it rather quickly. Others never seem to. If you drink regularly though, a couple weeks is usually all you need to get used to a higher level of alcohol consumption." He paused for a moment contemplating what made a heavy weight. "As for your other question....that also depends. Beer, I have seen guys polish off a gallon just by themselves. Even I can't do that." He chuckled lightly at his confession. "Now if ya wanted to get into the harder stuff though. Ten shots is the goal to hit. Though admittedly very few can do it. I myself have only ever hit that target once. Though again....I wasn't feeling to great the next day. Probably the only time I've ever actually had a hangover." He finished with a laugh, remembering what he could of the event.
He listened to her comment about being better off a lightweight, and nodded. "Well...although you won't be winning any drinking contests then, you'll definitely save yourself some money." He flashed a warm smile her way along with his own wink, before continuing. "I tend to lead a pretty dang simple life. So I can afford to indulge in the libation. Sad thing to be addicted to though if you're poor."
The night had moved on well past the setting of the sun by this point and the streets were mercifully clear of a lot of the foot traffic that seemed to congest the walkways. "So Septimus. What time tomorrow were you wanting to hit the training grounds for our practice session. I'M sure you're eager to school me in something after tonight." He finished with laugh.
