I appreciate the STs focusing on Zinrah's development. Overall, it's a stellar job between development, grading, and presence - especially for our student players.

I'm taken back by the most recent location though, and am concerned with the direction Zinrah's development is taking. I fully admit that if i don't like it, I don't need to play it, but the Scenery as an outlying location clashes culturally with Zinrah in a way I feel that it would not be tolerated.

We see a lot of sensualism in the hot baths, for example, but having outsiders marked by a goddess of murder hardly seems tolerable. I think that is taboo even for Dhani whose lives are consumed by pain and suffering as it is, especially considering and ongoing cold war with the Myrians and and the difficulty of producing food, let alone maintaining the nest's daily life. I cannot understand how pain is being made into fun, when there's already little to no escape from the daily trials of survival.

Make no mistake, I understand this provides an opportunity if I were to exalt this location. It's definitely another place to stand out from the crowd of Zinrah. Were Saxani reading this though, I swear she would be bold eyed and pissed, wondering who let these crazy Vipers in to do that of all things. It is also very appropriate for the dark side of fantasy i think we don't talk about. I'm just not sure it fits structurally, or am not understanding its intentions. I'd like to hear from the Zinrah STs what your vision for Zinrah is. i think we muse over the idea of what would be a neat new location of NPC a lot, but rarely address this long term idea. I'd like to hear about it, and perhaps participate.

Enough of Mamoru's kinky talk! Let's see more macho constrictor NPCs who run this place. I'd personally like to see the Shrine of Siku's NPCs developed further, like what the NPCs know and teach to citizens of all ages. Saxani wants to study up, but there are no NPCs to go to!

I created the Scenery (other than Mamoru's request) for the exact reason you're so appalled by it. Its meant to be taboo its part of the underworld society of Zinrah. Its meant to be controversial to add some life to the tunnels by means of possible rumors or other things getting leaked into the gossip section.

However by no means am I only creating such locations, I am trying to finish the locations on the link map already listed but have no physical location as of yet. As well as provide more critters and flora to the region. The Scenery was a side fun project to do between all the standard location I've been working on.

I dont exactly have a vision for Zinrah however it is my plan and intentions to have some variety to it and to flesh it out. I cant speak for Traverse or Sinister (if he ever shows up again) of course on what their plans for here were to be but for myself preexisting locations were low priority to go back through and revamp them, wanted to finish the others first you know?

Unfortunately at this moment, I have no future goals at the moment for Zinrah. However since you have brought up about the NPcs in the temple I will work on it this week and present them to Traverse to look over

Saxani, the deal is that really we don't have to justify any location to you, nor explain the direction Zinrah is going in. Right now Sol and I are just trying to get locations fleshed out and fun interesting places for people to use in their day to day activities. The fact that your PC might despise the location is something that could resonate with a lot of constrictors in the nest, but certainly not all. I think it fits wonderfully into Zinrah, which may be a society on the brink of war, struggling to make ends meet, but is also an environment filled with sadistic den of beings who absolutely love torture and pain. Who says the torture just has to be on Myrian and other savage sacrifices to Siku's temple? The Scenery provides a perfect opportunity for PC's to sneakily try to dominate and manipulate one another with the chance to either gain some standing in Zinrah or have it snatched away when whispers start going around of those upstanding constrictors cavorting with those questionable vipers. The social standing of Zinrah is a complex beast and this location simply enhances that.

And on the note of you wanting more macho constrictor locales I'll go with the old adage if you think you can do something better then show us. Inside the Lair is now ready and awaiting development from Zinrah's PC's, and soon I'll add the Treasure Chest thread as well to reward our developers. You want some cool NPC's for the temple? Write em up for approval, and show us how it's done. If not we'll get to it when we get to it and not before

Traverse, I'm allowed to ask a question, and you're plenty allowed to give any answer you want. The point is that someone gets an answer when they're trying to communicate with those they directly interact with, regardless of status. No kidding, you don't need to justify diddly to me. You don't need to be rude or defensive over a simple question either. I asked out of interest, not critical review; it's a game, and hardly worth that much energy if it ruffle someone's jimmies every time. If you have any personal contrast with me showing interest in the game I game I play, and my own inquiries (which I am not, by any means, restrained from questioning as seen through the Terms of Agreement/Service OR any additional information on the game's boards, wiki, forum, or otherwise), feel free to PM me and I'd be willing to make an appointment. I'm busy with finals presently. of course, this may be utterly unnecessary; I just want to make sure I extend the gesture. It's easy to get estranged from the things we enjoy when life gets busy.

I'm glad the Zinrah development forum is up though. I saw the Jungle Wilds one and have been waiting. The leather working location's name is also pretty witty.

I just as you was merely expressing my opinion, if you are concerned with the developmental direction Zinrah is taking you are free to submit locations and NPC's that align with how your ideals of Zinrah fall, instead of asking to have ST's layout their plans of the city for you. Also, good luck with finals. Also also, any folks in Zinrah looking for a job PM Sol or I and we'll get you hooked up, I know there are a few of you out there!
