Kaie practically snorted quietly to herself at the mention of a bar fight. She'd already had her own share of those. Working at the Stallion one night had provided her with the longest, bloodiest, bar brawls she'd witnessed and participated in. All coming to a close under the harsh, metal gauntlet of the knighthood. As much as she loved the prospect of a good ol' drunken fist fight, she'd pass tonight. With all the enforcement always strolling around in public settings like these, it would only be a matter of time before someone caught up with her. The Tank was one wildly unpleasant experience she had no intention of reliving. Kaie would now limit herself was best as she could to battles in the Arena, the Coin, or the wild. All else would be foolish and probably ending in her own death.

"Thanks but I've already had my fair share of those. Besides, I've found you can't go wrong with a good drink," She allowed with a slow nod of agreement. A drink. It seemed a good opportunity for fun. Or at least to start some of it. This Hiwalani seemed to know what he was doing, so she'd gladly play along and see what he had in store.

"If you insist. I would feel guilty myself if I let you leave with ill feelings of yourself. Don't worry about anyone interrupting. I can assure you any associate of mine would be more than fashionably late to a place like this. We have plenty of time to talk."

[The Herald's Arms] Entertaining An Extrovert (Hiwalani)

He drank from his meal and offered the other full meal to Kaie. Despite enjoying dinner, he went straight to continuing the conversation. "Tell me, you have never been to the Herald's Arms, but do you know of... the third floor?" He eyed Kaie innocently. "Exactly how much do you know of this place?" Although he did consider her on a less 'romantic' basis. It was the most prominent topic of conversation on his mind, seeing all those people heading upstairs to have fun without him made him get a little jealous and caused to show a vibration of urgency in his face. Maybe he just might... then pushed the thought out of his mind.

Honestly she almost felt like she couldn't trust the guy. Behind her playful ploy, Kaie was analyzing the character before her. Watching his quirks and trying to figure him out. It wasn't that she was really interested in his personal life. Really she wondered what kinds of tricks he had up his sleeves. Maybe she was just wondering what drove him to the Herald's Arms in particular. Despite the mysterious game they were both playing, Kaie was distracted wholly by the money he laid down for the two of them. Two full dinners? And he brought one for her too? It was odd that he would put Mizas down for a complete stranger. Why? No one in their right mind would give such charity to a savage like herself. Being a Myrian, she wasn't one to accept charity anyways. Though this was more of a friendly gesture rather than any kind of funding, she couldn't overlook it. It made her all the more curious.

Kaie began to eat the meal her acquaintance purchase for her. It was quite surprising it was actually good. The Rearing Stallion was known for its alcohol and that was about it. That food was mediocre at best on a good night. This was such a different entity. She almost felt guilty for even comparing the two.

"Sadly, I haven't even heard of it. I'm assuming you do, though. So tell me, what's so special and mysterious about this third floor?" She answered after swallowing a small portion of the food. She quirked her brow again at him in wonder. A third floor? Kaie almost didn't want to guess what was in such a spot if she didn't even know of it. What was it for? Should she have brought a knife? Unless it was a room less...Public and malevolent?

"Oh! Thanks for the food by the way."

At least she wasn't a rude savage. Muddy brown eyes scanned the room like she was searching. Maybe for a glance of the rumored third floor, or maybe she was just surveying the always changing crowd. Either way she adverted her eyes only for a moment before they returned to Hiwalani.

"Take me there.

[The Herald's Arms] Entertaining An Extrovert (Hiwalani)

"Take me there." She said. It sparked an alarming expression on Hiwalani's face. Despite the look in his face his thoughts stated otherwise, How oblivious is she of what goes on in the floors above? and If she really doesn't know what's up there, how will she react when she sees? How far will her sense of adventure and curiosity push her?

He took Kaie by the hand."I'll show you what makes The Herald's Arms tick," He bit his lips with a flirtatious hint in his breathing, "The thing that makes this establishment different from all the others in Syliras." While walking towards the stares he cast glances to various bar-goers around the floor with a certain look in his eye, communicating a certain feeling in the air. Anyone who knows anything about The Heralds Arms knew that the certain feeling in the air was the feeling of promiscuity.

His face was riddled with shock. Suddenly Kaie got the feeling she had no idea what she had asked for. All of her new thoughts of uncertainty left her though when he took her hand. Kaie noticed how his teeth gingerly touched his lip, sinking gently into the flesh. His words were soft, clear, and confident. Seductive almost. He had this air about him that naturally drew a listener in closer. Making her feel like she really did want to know exactly what separated the Herald's Arms from the rest. How many other people stood in her same place, impressed by his charisma?

Kaie noticed the casual turning of his head as he led her. The flicker of his eyes from their path to certain faces. Drinking in the atmosphere and the mood of the passerby. The woman holding his hand, however, was blindly following him along. She once caught sight of a man eye the two of them, then turn to his "companion" with great animation. He laughed and nodded his head toward her. No doubt pointing out the savage foreigner and her more than friendly social host.

"Don't tell me! I want to be surprised...But will I like whatever's up these stairs?" She asked without hesitation, eyeing him the whole time. Studying his expression. Searching for a lie. He had been honest thus far so it was probably unfair for him to doubt him. Regardless she also knew how popular the Herald's Arms were but never why. Even though the Knights kept the city on lock, she wondered if something illegal was behind the doors. Ridiculous even to herself, she knew. All she could do was trust the man and hope she didn't trip up the stairs.

[The Herald's Arms] Entertaining An Extrovert (Hiwalani)

Hiwalani looked at Kaie, reacting to what she said with internal turmoil. A look of wonder and suprise flashed through his eyes. He could lie. Or he could tell the truth. The choice he made had their own pros and cons. He had debated it in a flash and his decision was made. Honesty wouldn't hurt anyone, lying would. "I honestly don't know." His face lost the more exciting emotions, he needed to make sure that she would feel comfortable no matter what, "If you go up there and the surprise isn't to your taste, all you have to do is walk away." There was not a hint of playfulness in what he said, but all dreadful seriousness went away after he smiled and continued to lead her up The Heralds Arms.

Cold feelings and thoughts rushed through his head, he honestly doubted whether or not his companion would have a good time up there, or be traumatized for the rest of her life. He tried to convince himself she would be fine, She's a strong woman, she doesn't need my help. Nothing he could think satisfied his conscience. He turned around to her once more before continuing, "Just tell me, ok?"

He was uncertain. She could see it all over his face. That once exuberant, flashy expression dulled for a moment while he considered her question. It wasn't that he changed so much in that brief second or two. It was only that Kaie could see it in his eyes. So much so that when he claimed he didn't know how she would react to the change in scenery, Kaie realized just how blind she was. With no knowledge of this third floor she was in the dark. Led only by this stranger whom she hardly knew. All of which earned a quirk of her brow at Hiwalani, expecting his response would've been far different.

The more she thought, the more she reasoned nothing on the floor could ever be too much. It was Syliras after all. A city of peace and authority. Unless they were hoarding a nest of Dhani to swallow her whole or a flock of Ziths to alter her mood toward hostility, she doubted anything could be truly unpleasant. If any harm was to come to her she'd be sure he'd be paying in full anyways. But why be so negative when all signs pointed to docility?

"Oh, I can promise you if I'm pissed off you'll be the first to know. We've gotten this far already. It's only a few more steps anyways, right?"
