A surreal cavern city inhabited by Symenestra where stones glow and streets are reams of silk. Cocoon like structures hang between stalactites and cascade over limestone flows in organic and eerie arabesques. Without a Symenestra willing to escort you, entrance is impossible.

Celebrate, Come On!

She had been enjoying the warmth that has went up from her stomach and was curling around her head but now a shot of icy panic threatened to derail it entirely. Both her companions were on the floor and the angry Symenestra was baring down while the Ochya pushed through the oblivious crowd.

Strangely it only took her two steps to get between the Symenestra on the floor and the one still standing. He was large for a Symenestra, she wondered if he was a Dra. Her lips curled in distaste and she realized she was leaning on the Dra or Sym in question, which explained why it had taken only two steps because she had nearly joined her companions on the floor. Shoving away from him Sosicly first wondered where her drink had gone then glared at the man and swatted him with her book. Angrily she gestured to the two on the floor, then herself, and finally to him and the exit.

He ignored her or Sosicly was imagining the look of complete disregard on his face. Her book dropped to the floor, and Sosicly stubbornly clung to the man while he tried to throw her off. Behind her the few Ochya members did not look amused, and it occurred to her she looked a lot like the problem. The girl quickly waved down towards Llyvi who still lay on the floor and Viridae who looked more dazed than injured.

Celebrate, Come On!

Postby Llyvi on October 20th, 2013, 10:05 pm

“Excuse me,” said a man, voice tinged with the exotic, honey-baked Symenos accent. He cleared his throat, pronouncing his authority—he was clearly a member of the Ochya. Ashen, scruffy hair swept over his brows, but it failed to hide the disapproval in his eyes.

Wading through the growing crowd, he placed two hands on the shoulders of both the drunken man and Sosicly; gentle, but firm, showing acknowledgement for the fragility of the Symenestra race that the two seemed to lack.

“I need you both to come with me,” he murmured, gingerly prying the two from each other. The drunken man looked confused—the switch on his face from fury to disorientation was near immediate.

Meanwhile, Llyvi was furled into a fetal position on the ground, seemingly incorporeal amidst the blooming discord. His breaths came out in wretched gasps, and the bruise he’d received earlier was growing into an alarmingly darker shade.

“Not. Sibea,” he panted, rolling over—he winced—and looking up at the Ochya man from underneath his lashes, glittered with the hint of tears. “Me.”

OOCYou guys can role-play as the drunken man/Ochya man, too. It's not like they're mine. ^_^;;

Celebrate, Come On!

Postby Viridae Kabre on October 20th, 2013, 11:48 pm

"You aren't taking anyone!" Viridae said from in between laughs, rolling onto his back and stamping his foot on the ground.

"Get out of here, and leave these party goers alone." He was still laughing slightly as he managed to get to his knees. He looked the Ochya over, but could not think of any reason they shouldn't take anyone.

"On my authority," He said stupidly, reaching behind his back for his hunting knife.

In that moment, Seivis came pushing through the growing crowd of people.

"Honestly!?" She hissed through her fangs glaring heavily through stern eyes, purple almost shifting to hot pink with rage. "Leave me the lot of them," She said dismissively to the Ochya. One of the men raised a hand in protest, and she spun quickly on her heel, making another hissing noise. He backed down, and turned his attention to Llyvi. "I said all of them! Go keep the city safe! You have better things to do!" She hissed again, fangs poking from under her lips. The Ochya made to leave, but stayed by the fringes of the crowd a moment longer to make sure everything was okay.

Seivis Approached her brother, who frowned as she stood over him. He swallowed hard, looking up at her, just in time to receive a punch in the face from a delicate dancer's hand. His head snapped to the side, and he began to fall back. Seivis caught him by the arm, and sat him in a chair, before approaching Sosicly and Llyvi. The large man just stood and watched her, not sure if he should interfere. She had acquired a reasonable amount of popularity within the community after all, and it was no secret she had a fierce temper.

Celebrate, Come On!

Sosicly was offended then annoyed. First everyone was falling and fighting and now the Ochya were attempting to evict her from her own party. She was shocked when her eyes filled with water, and she stomped her foot, frustrated that things were not fun as she intended.

Viridae was carted away and Llyvi was barely getting up. Still staring at him it a took a moment for her brain to catch up and inform her body to help her fellow Sym. She crouched down, gripped Llyvi's arm and helped him to his feet. Behind her the drunken fight starter had already drifted back into the crowd, and the ret of the party goers went back to their activities, save for a small handful.

While Sosicly wobbled along with her companion, attempting to help him into the nearest seat her ears caught the beginnings of a conversation. "The Blue Grotto? Sounds good to me. If another fight starts the Ochya will probably make everyone head home."

"But not if they can't find us."
The other voice laughed. Sosicly ignored it for a moment, and gaze inquiringly at Llyvi. Her fingers twitched toward his head but she didn't know medicine so she ended with another drink in her hand that she quickly tipped back. Then she turned to find Viridae, seemingly confused as to where he went with the woman who punched him. They were off too her right and she waved them over impatiently.

OOCSo...whose up for some good 'ol fashion skinny dipping at the Big Blue? :D

Celebrate, Come On!

Postby Llyvi on October 28th, 2013, 9:42 pm

The rest was a messy blur of loud voices and the perpetual buzz of curious onlookers; Llyvi didn’t care to sort out the wreckage of sound. Instead, after his fleeting moment of muted courage, he laid his weary head back on the floor and conjured an invisible bubble around himself, wanting to take the time to catch his breath and drown in regret.

Just a few minutes of peace, he thought, covering his ears with his arms, choking on waves of remorse. I’m sorry for coming here. I truly am.

Sosicly crouched down to grab his arm and, with muttered protests from Llyvi, helped him up. Llyvi was unwilling, but he was swayed to the Moth Queen’s strange tempo as he allowed himself to rely on her. He’d owe her back.

He cringed, but his tentative grasp on Sosicly’s shoulder wouldn’t budge. He was horrified to know that he was leaning and depending on her with the fragility of a withering flower, but he was still struggling to catch the breath that was running away from him.

Finally, he unfurled his grip and patted gently Sosicly’s shoulder, a sad consolation prize for allowing himself to lean upon the frame of a woman.

“I'm okay now,” he said, belied by the wince that flickered across his face when he took an unattended step. He raked a hand through his tawny hair, slicked with sweat. “Let’s . . . go. Anywhere. Just . . . out.”

Celebrate, Come On!

Viridae nodded in silent agreement, and tipped back in his chair slightly, sipping from a nearby mug of mead. His head was swimming, and he could hardly focus on anything.

"Take care of my idiot," Seivis said quickly to Llyvi as she turned to leave. "I have errands to attend to."

Viridae stabbed his knife into the table then slammed down his mug. "I haven't a clue where to go right now. Its a bit late for a visit to the surface. Any suggestions?"

Sosicly patted Llyvi in sympathy, giving him a once over that told her they should probably go home but Viridae's statement, Llyvi's and the group slipping noisly towardst the exit made the decision for her. Excitedly she attempted to pull the two with her before pointing towards the group currently leaving. With her arms made horribly inaccurate swimming gestures, when she finished she grabbed another glass off a nearby table. The smell of wine invaded her nose along with what was likely the schnapps, regardless she downed it in one go, wanting the warmth back in her stomach.

They would go swimming, a pool party she would have! It was only when she set the cup down and patted herself for her notebook that she realized it was gone. The woman made a quick detour to grab said item then hurried back to her little group and prodded them to follow her.

While Kalinor could never be considered cold, Sosicly was surprised by a comfortable flush of goosebumps that erupted when the exited the warmth of the Gather. She couldn't be too bothered by it though, she was too busy trying to figure out where she ended and the road began. She knew there was only one that she was on, even if she could not remeber getting on, but there seemed to be three extra every time she looked down to take a step. It was only by getting down on her hands and knees that she was able to properly figure out which rope was which and continue on their way.

Celebrate, Come On!

“The Blue Grotto?” asked Llyvi. He added a chuckle, and then a slight wince. His breath was coming back to him, leaving behind a soreness that spread throughout his body, and perhaps a brief dip would prove to be a remedy.

He gingerly tapped the bruise that had manifested on his cheek, dark on his papery-white skin. The fact that he possessed the fragility of a withering flower was painstakingly real, and he made a face.

And winced. He said, “If I can make it there.”

He followed Sosicly out of the Hunters’ Gather, and assumed Viridae would do the same. Gripping the road that Sosicly had selected, he fell into a moving rhythm behind her, and they were on their way to the Blue Grotto.

OOCI suppose next round of posts will be at the Blue Grotto, then.

Celebrate, Come On!

Postby Viridae Kabre on November 10th, 2013, 1:53 am

Viridae followed them out, and stumbled dangerously across the line, staying relatively silent throughout the walk, with the exception of a muttered apology after he stumbled into Llyvi and nearly fell from the road.

Upon scurrying dizzily over the face of the rock wall that marks the entrance to the blue grotto, Viridae pulled off his armor and folded it neatly, placing all the pieces beside his bow on a large flattened stalactite. His chest hand forearms were slashed with a few scars, but other than this, he remained a slim tall frame, overlay with slight muscle and rough skin. A faint tan line could be seen around his collarbone, marking him as one of the few Symenestra that frequently caught glimpse of the sun. He paused a moment, then slipped his leather trousers off, self consciously sitting beside his clothing on the rock in nothing but a tight fitting pair of black silk pants that clung tight on his legs and ended just above the knees.

Without looking to the others he slipped into the warm waters of a nearby pool, and remained under its surface for an almost alarming span of time. Upon surfacing, he braided the remainder of his silvery hair behind his head and grinned to his companions. "Warm enough," He said, flitting his hands beneath the water.

Celebrate, Come On!

Postby Sosicly Magnolia on November 13th, 2013, 9:19 pm

The group they had been following was pleasant, and she was quickly offered a waterskin with mead that she took a few swigs of, teetering awkwardly. Her book fell to the floor along with the inkstick, and she made to get in the water, waving Llyvi along to follow her.

A hand landed on her shoulder, and Sosicly turned to find a young woman about her age grinning, “Come on, Sibea, we can’t get our things dirty.”

Sosicly nodded agreeably and stripped, when she got to her underclothing she paused as well. Viridae has said the water was warm but her clothes wouldn’t be dry if she kept them on. And it was hot enough with the drinks as it were. Beside her the woman stripped nude and flounced into the water. Shortly after a few of the men from the group they followed did the same, laughter and druken chatter reaching her ears. With a little shrug, and ignoring the niggling that she shouldn’t Sosicly pulled off her wrappings.

The air tingled against her bare skin, she took one step back then darted forward, heading straight for Viridae and splashing loudly in the water beside him. For a moment the world was muted, a wavering outline of legs, hair, fish, and the glow of the opalgloams. Followed closely by a burning sensation in her lungs that she couldn’t understand, the water cocooned around her comfortably cool, and Sosicly let herself sink. The burning grew stronger, and she tried to ease it by taking a breath but that made it worse and she flailed in the water, grabbing onto the nearest person.
