The storm had been watched since its build over the Bay for days, the bells from the unstable Lookout gonging constantly to try and force the remaining citizens on the waters edge to safety, many of the Endal acting as ferry's for these poor folk who had the misfortune of still being at Water's Reach.

When the storm finally did strike, it erupted upon the Bay and volcano with the force of a bomb. Hurricane force winds swept the coast, many trees simply snapping under the sudden barrage of wind and rain. Worse was the storm surge that swept onto the village housed upon the coast of the Bay, flooding the beaches and many a soul drowning in the raging and froth-filled waters. But for all the horror that bred upon the bay's shore, it was no less frightening in the city.

Hundred mile an hour winds bombarded the sides of the volcano, vicious pelts of rain that blew in horizontally made it impossible for the citizenry to even try to move in the outer warrrens. Most had made it down to the deep warrens, many taking shelter in the Inclement and hot shops whose fires, for the first time in ages, were quiet.

The eagle aeries, however, were a far cry from the deep warrens and many of the endal had remained behind to make sure their birds would be safe. But how could they have anticipated the ferocity of this storm as it unloaded all hell upon their mountain city! Rains poured into the cave entrances of the birds part of the aeries and several had already been swept out from the sheer power of the winds, bashed against the mountain in an uncontrollable plummet.

Worse was when the battering gusts began to slacken some of the supports, eventually collapsing many of the tunnels in the Endal Aeries. Several died when the first cave in began, many more were trapped, separated from those they had been travelling with. Still others were cut off, left staring in dismay at the piles of boulders which had just killed or trapped the many still within.

Of those who were cut off, there were three: Alori, Kovac, and Turrin.

While one was not an Endal, his presence in the Endal part of the city was not alien.

The dusty smell of collapsed stone, stronger stench of a broken gas-vent, and heat of a crushed spring pipe as it sprayed its searing water across the floor where Turrin, Kovac, and Alori found themselves now were all there was. There was the faint sound of screaming on the other side and voices shouting, but mostly, it was muffled and drowned by the ever-present wind and thunder and rain. Zulrav's rage indeed!

[Seasonal Event] Search and Rescue (Alori, Kovac, Turrin)

Alori raced across the stone floor as fast as she could, tall black boots stumping through the water covering the ground. Her raven feathered Katinu was pulled tightly around her, and the hood lifted over her head to shield her from the pouring rain. The fresh-faced Endal coughed and lightly gasped for air as she neared the rockfall and the broken gas vent close by. Her hands lifted to the huge rocks, scraping and pulling against them as she tried in vain to free those trapped behind.

"Petch! This isn't working!"

The teen was beyond frustrated, she didn't know where Lavira was, or where Durveth had gotten off too, and she hoped they were ok. She was also worried about Skye and hoping that the storm didn't destroy her new home where she had left him. Ivak's influence also burned within her, and she could feel the strong emotions of the people on the other side of the cave in. They were afraid, confused, panicking, and dieing. It was hard for her to stand by, unable to do anything for the time. It was a feeling close to gasping for breath when there was no air to take in.

"Shyke! come on!"

She was relentless, her emotions taking over and the longer she stayed by the rockfall, the more she needed to do something. Alori continued to cough and gasp for air from the fumes in the air, hands clawing and slipping on the damp rocks as she tried to pull them free. But the girl would not give up.

Certainly, the storm that raged outside was dangerous. Fall had been rife with violent weather, and those caught in any of them attested to their fury, but inside Wind Reach, away for the open chambers of the eagles' aeries, the Inartans were secure. Yes, their mountain had been rocked when Ivak was released, and had been shaken lately by quakes, but surely it could withstand a storm. Or at least this was Kovac's thinking. And, again, he thought wrong.

Moments ago he was holding Lavira, they and their friends about to set out for a morning meal. Then the world exploded. Kovac was thrown, or fell, or both. the noise was deafening as chunks of rock, great and small, cascaded down amid the group, the gushing of water and the howl of wind that rammed through holes in the ruptured wall adding to the din. It took a tick or two for Kovac to overcome the shock, finding himself face down. He lifted himself from the stone floor slowly, Alori's frantic voice beginning to register as an hand casually brushed across his forehead, coming away with a stain of red. Sections of his legs stung, his bryda wet, burnt by the hot water flowing from the broken pipe onto the floor. Volcanic fumes too wafted around on the air whipping in from outside. The Avora turned his aching head to see the wall of rubble behind them. A quick glance around only revealed himself, Alori and Turrin. Lavira and Azira were gone.

Kovac panicked. Lavira was gone. "No, No No!!!" The Avora screamed as he dashed forward beside Alori, clawing at the rocks, fingers digging into whatever cracks he could, pulling down smaller rocks but faltering at a large one. Over the cacophony, he thought her heard screams. "They are alive, they are alive, aren't they?" He yelled rashly at Alori. He could not lose Vira, not now. "PETCH, AHHHHHGH"! Kovac roared in helpless rage, pounding on the rock.

Finally he quieted, his Katinu drenched, rain water running down his face, carrying the crimson tinge of the bleeding cut on his forehead. Get a hold of yourself! You can't save her as a wildman. Kovac looked over at Alori, the woman still digging with fury. He had only begun to know Alori, seeing how she reacted when those around her were highly emotional. His panic would not help her either. Looking at Turrin, he turned back to pulling down the smaller rock. But was there any hope of digging through this cave-in? They had to come up with something. They had to get to Lavira and Azira.

[Seasonal Event] Search and Rescue (Alori, Kovac, Turrin)

Postby Turrin on September 28th, 2013, 8:07 am

The morning after Endal Alori's party was difficult to remember because the large Endal might have had to much to drink the night before. He didn't remember much of it, but he remembered feeling awkward around them like he really didn't belong there at all. It was fine. Turrin was a loner most of life, and only a handful of Inarta had the patients to understood his Myrian ways, but most ginger gave up and called him a savage. Turrin only really knew Alori and Azira before the party. He noticed the fiery golden eyed teenager, Azira, went out of the way to avoid him. Since they had a altercation before, Turrin wasn't surprised the spirited young woman didn't wanted to cross paths with him again. Alori was a different story. He remembered dancing with the attractive Endal at the Inclement Weather. It was nice night that he hoped to repeat in the future. When he woke up in the morning at Alori's aeries, he noticed the wind was howling and rain was coming down in sheets. Walking to window of aeries to watch the storm, he contacted Aponivi, “Are you alright, Aponivi?” He waited a chime for his wind eagle friend to answer, “Turrin, I think you should seek shelter. It is getting bad here.” Turrin nodded and contacted him, “I will join you.” Suddenly, he heard Aponivi order him for the first time, “I can handle a little wind and rain, Turrin. You need to get to safety...” The trailing off in Aponivi message made Turrin nervous, so he knew that he needed to disobey his friend's orders on this one time.

When Lavira left Alori's aeries, Turrin turned to the group and told them. He needed to leave and check on his own home. When he was out the door, he took off running towards his aeries. He could hear and feel the wind wiping through the warrens of the aeries. At times, it took him all his strength to walk down the halls, but eventually, he made it to his home. Running up to the door, he quickly unlocked it, opened the door, and a rush of water escaped out the door. The force of the water almost knocked him down the stairs, but he was able to hold onto the door. When the water reseeded, he walked into his aeries and saw his living room was completely filled with three inches of water. He sloshed through his living room and saw his friend with his face to the wall as the wind wiped around him. Fighting the force of wind, he made it to shaking bird, hugged his large neck, and said loudly in common, “I am here...Are you ok!” The massive bird looked at him for a chime and contacted him, “What are you doing here? I told you to take shelter you foolish human!” Turrin laughed out loud and contacted him with a worried smile on his face, “Your the only family I have left, Aponivi. You think I will abandon you in your time of need?” The wind eagle look up at him with his big golden eyes and contacted him, “We are both warriors, Turrin. I will survive the wind and rain. I promise you. Now get your sister and mother and get to safety.”

Turrin just nodded to giant bird of prey, and he turned to find his mother and sisters remains. Walking back into his aeries, he saw most of his personal items were ruined, but when he made it to the bed room. He saw his talon sword, short bow, and quiver were still dry since they have been hanging on the wall. The Endal grabbed his talon sword and strapped it to his belt. Than he grabbed his backpack full of equipment. He took out the more unnecessary equipment and placed it onto his bed. Walking over to his dressor, he picked up a plain wooden box and opened it and inside the box was two slightly burned human looking skulls. Closing the lid of the box, he slide the box into the backpack. When he was finished getting everything, he left the aeries. When he made it back to Alori's aeries, the saw the rest of group was abandoning the aeries. Silently, Turrin joined the group with his mind still on his stranded Wind Eagle. When the group started to escape the aeries, Turrin decided to walk in the front of the group as he trudged through the wind and the ran. Suddenly, he heard a loud crack in the rock above. The Endal looked up and saw a large crack was forming in the ceiling of the warrens, so he turned around and yelled to the group in common, “Everyone needs to run now!”

When Turrin heard the earth shift above him, he started to run down the hall. He didn't stop till the sound of falling rock ceased. However, he didn't get far because the force of the air escaping the rock pushed him forward onto the ground. When he hit the ground with his head, he blackout a undermined amount of time, but he woke up to a pounding headache and the sound of Kovac and Alori frantically scrapping and yelling at the rocks. Groggily, he started to stand up, but he had to lean on the wet wall for support. When the feeling of vertigo passed, he looked up and saw a large cave in behind them. The warren was completely blocked with rock and debris. Turrin put his hands behind his head and his immediate thought went to his the safety of Aponivi. For the first time since the Djed storm of 512AV, he felt completely helpless. Feeling his heart start to race with fear for his friend Aponivi, he knew that he needed to reach Aponivi quickly, but he needed assistance from both Kovac and Alori to succeed. Turrin walked over, laid a hand a comforting on Alori shoulder, and said calmly in common, “Alori, I understand you are afraid for Durveth safety, but I am going to need your help to get to the other side, so we need to try to keep a calm and clear mind, so we can think through this mess.” He looked at her and said with reassuring smile, “My Sister-in-Arms, I promise you that I will do my best to reunite you with your family.”

Turrin watched Kavoc go into a panic and yell at the cave in frustration. The Endal knew nothing of love, so he wasn't sure what the Avora was emotionally going through, but he knew yelling and clawing at the stones weren't going to help him get back to the people that he cared about. Since Alori was woman, he was taught at a early age in Taloba to treat women with respect since they were held in higher regards than men in Myrian society, but Kovac was a man, so he didn't have to worry about the formalities or politeness. He already knew Endal Alori was a warrior, so she will deal with like a Endal should. However, he knew little of the Avora hunter other than he was second to none with a bow, but Turrin knew if Kovac was going to reunite with his Lavira. He was going to need to learn how to control his emotions better. Turrin's golden eyes stared at the green eyes of Avora and said bluntly, “Are you done, Kovac? Yelling at stones won't reunite you with your beloved Lavira and your friend Azira.” Looking at the cave in, he knew the three of them wouldn't be able to move the large debris, so the logical answer was to find a new path. Remembering the emotionless and almost stone look of his father face when he was leading his Fang. Turrin of the Twisted Vine did his best impression of his father and said in a emotionless voice, “Both of you come. We need to look for a new path this isn't the only warren to the aeries.” He started to think of possible access points to the aeries, stopped and asked without turning around, “Do any of you know any servant corridors leading to aeries? If not, we might have to find a Dek or a Chiet to find the answer.”

OOCTurrin needs to learn to lighten up.

The strong reek of toxic gases was unmistakable the more Kovac and Alori dug. It burned the lungs and reeked of methane and spoiled eggs. It was not a good smell and very much hinted at instability.

Others in the corridor were shouting, some pointing up one path, others pointing down another, but the words were all the same: more reports of collapses on tunnels that were near the outside of the mountains. The main word was of a large landslide that had been caused when lightning struck near the top of the mountain, hitting an open cave. It had loosened some of the stone and the weight of the rock above it added to the force of the wind against it and the rain falling around resulted in the landslide. Many of the aeries had been completely cut off, many of which had birds in them which were now dead.

Once Turrin managed to convince Alori and Kovac away from the debris of their corridor, they would have to ask about for the best route. There were four choices:

Option A: An elderly Dek who worked as a tunnel-sweep stood cowering in front of an Endal who was trying to frighten him into going through a crack in the mountain where the Endal's home must have been before the collapse. The Dek was already terrified, one of his arms looking to have been crushed as the Endal yelled at him. He had blood running down one side of his face and his pupils were wide and stressed. The Endal shouted over the chaos of humanity, "Get your ass back in there and FIND HER!! You were supposed to be helping her out, damnit, and now she could be dead! GET IN THERE NOW!!!"

The Dek shifted uncomfortably and shot his eyes to the group of three looking for another route around, pleading for help. He knew at least one among them would show him kindness, they must, yes? "Pp-please! I c-c-c-can't move the rocks, sir, my hand; h-h-how am I tttto get your daughter?"

Option B: A tunnel with few moving down it lay ahead and to the left of the Endal and elderly dek. There was a dead Endal a few paces inside with a bleeding nose but no other obvious injury. The air smelled clean and the tunnel looked dry.

Option C: Further down the tunnel a group of Dek were seen moving in and out of a gap in the stone, one of the many routes the Dek knew to take to get to and from locations. The air smelled clean here as well though there were several inches of water on the ground coming out of the crack. The wind could also be heard whooshing through the gap as the Dek worked feverishly at...whatever they were doing in there.

Option D: Keep moving down the corridor.

Whichever option they chose bore its own uncertainty. With the fierceness of the storm, nothing was sure.

Choose.

[Seasonal Event] Search and Rescue (Alori, Kovac, Turrin)

Alori had been at it for chimes it seemed, but had only moved tiny bits of rubble from the wall in front of her. It was pointless and from the tears staining her cheeks, and the constant gasping and coughing, the teen felt like she was about to faint. But she continued on anyway, defiantly kicking and pulling against rocks almost as big as she was, and lightly twice as heavy. Finally due to exhaustion, or a choking fit, the tiny Endal relented, taking a wobbly step backwards and reaching out for Kovac.

She hadn't heard anything he'd said so far, but she had heard him, and knew that he was near by. Alori stumbled, finding Kovac's Katinu and digging her nails into it to keep herself from falling. Another dry cough escaped her parted lips, and she dug her nails harder into his arm to get his attention. "Hey, this-this isn't working. We have to find another way! Vira's a fighter, she won't just die, but we need to get to her!" Alori was asking something of the Avora, she needed to draw on his strength to get through this. Some way to keep her emotions from blinding her and causing her to act rashly and make things worse.

It took her a moment to realize that there was a hand on her also. Turrin was there, and strangely he was the only one that wasn't in a panic. Alori didn't know the man well, only that he was what they called a mutt. He was Endal, but he was as far from an Inartan as one could be. "Your huge, can you lift these? I think I almost had it but.. never mind." The girl was frustrated, and hoping the man could simply move the wall and get her back to her friend. There was talk around them, telling of higher caves being destroyed, and she could only hope that it wasn't .. "Look, we need to move, ok? Hurry before the mountain falls on us!"

"Durveth? Durveth talk to me!"

"Alori! Are you ok?"

"Thank the Gods..you're safe. I'm fine, but I can't find Lavira and I think she might be hurt."

There was a pause in between before the Wind Eagle spoke again. "Get to safely I'll find out what I can."

The young Endal stood in silence as she looked on at the chaos before them. There were options to try and get around. Places that looked safe but could also be dangerous, and there was the man needing help finding his daughter. Alori wasn't sure what to do, but her heart was pushing her towards saving the man's daughter.

[Seasonal Event] Search and Rescue (Alori, Kovac, Turrin)

Postby Turrin on October 8th, 2013, 2:04 am

Turrin could tell the young woman was frustrated when she asked him to move the large rock blocking there way into the aeries. The Myrian looked at the rocks and debris and noticed most of them were large boulders or columns. He knew that he wasn't strong enough to lift any of them by himself. He would need a large beast like a wind eagle or tskannas to move the boulders with any ease. Turrin looked at Alori and said simply, “Sorry Alori if I could move them, I would...” When she told him to move, he nodded and said simply, “We will find them.” Kneeling down on the ground, Turrin noticed the air in the warren was thick with dust and dirt, so he took out the wooden box from his backpack and carefully placed the box on the ground next him. He took out his winter blanket and unsheathed his talon sword. He picked up the blanket and cut the blanket into the three large strips cloth. Picking up one of the strips of blanket, he started to carefully wrap the blanket around his head playing special attention to cover his mouth and hair and leaving enough space for him to see out off. He remembered his Myrian father Marak trading with some Benshira traders, and they had their heads covered to protect their heads from dust and sand in the desert. He figured it must work, so he did his best to duplicate it.

Looking at Kovac and Alori, Turrin handed each of them a strip of his former blanket and said simply, “Are home has once again been turned into place full of unknowns, so we should do our best to protect our health, so we have the strength to save those dear to us. Take one and wrap it around your head, so it covers your mouth. The air in this warren is unpleasant, but we can still breath. It might not be the same for the rest of warrens, so we should prepare.” Turrin's golden eyes looked at his companions for a moment and said bluntly, “I have a water skin full of water and week of rations in my backpack, so if the worst happens, and we are trapped too. We will have to make it last till help arrives.” Remembering his father's leadership ability in the jungle, Turrin remembered him to be a cool calculating man who always had to uncanny ability to adapt to most situations. The Endal looked at his companions and said in common, “Our goal is to find the safest corridor to evacuate the people trapped in the aeries. We will look for volunteers along the way, but if we have to do it alone than we do it alone.” Turrin's eyes grew determined and continued with confidence in his voice, “We are their best hope since we know the situation first hand, so I will not let stand aside and let anyone die when I draw breath. Come lets dance with Dira my friends.” After his speech, he sheathed his talon sword, bent down, and placed his wooden box into his backpack. When his equipment was secured, he started down the large corridor.

As Turrin continued down the warren, he heard a loud commotion coming from farther down the corridor. The Endal quickened his pace and noticed a Endal yelling at a cower Dek. Turrin noticed the elderly Dek was clearly injured, so he doubt the Dek could help him if he could muster the strength and courage to do so. The large Endal quickened his pace, stalked up to the Endal, and said sternly, “If you were thinking clearly, you would know this man wouldn't survive the journey to save her. Let alone get her out of the house alive.” Turrin wasn't scared to talk bluntly to his comrades even when they were acting like complete asses. The Myrian glared at the Endal and wondered why her father wasn't venturing into the house to save his own daughter. It was cowardly act of self-preservation to ask a elderly Dek to do his fatherly duties. The Myrian looked at the man and said slowly, “Lets make a deal if we get your daughter out of the aeries. Will you help us evacuate the rest of aeries?” Turrin looked at the Elderly Dek and said simply, “Someone needs to tell the Valintar of the situation in the aeries. Tell the Valintar situation in aeries our dire, and if he can send us help. It would be appreciated. Can you do this Dek? I will make sure you are rewarded and treated in the Infirmary.”

OOCAnd the apologies continue...sorry :(
Kovac spun towards Turrin, the Endal's calm demeanor only serving to infuriate the frantic Avora even more. "Aggh!" Kovac barked in frustration, his hand reaching for the handle of his knife as the rider chastised him. But the hand stayed, as did the half-vanthan's tongue. All he could think of was Lavira. If she was still alive, was she injured? Kovac thought of how the tragic fall earlier in the year had broken her, body and spirit, and how far she had come in her recovery. The Avora could not be at her side, didn't know if she was alive or dead, and it made him crazy.

But the big Endal was right, cooler heads had to prevail, and Turrin had one. He was a bit strange, sober and dramatic at times, but that probably came from the stoic Myrian side of him, at least, from what little Kovac knew of Turrin's father's people. But he had enough sense to gather the two Avora and begin to devise a plan.

Kovac nodded in agreement, put his arm around Alori and gave her a squeeze, then pressed a kiss to her wet, dirty head before putting on the scarf Turrin had made. Then he followed his fellow half-breed. Anxiety rose again as the Endal stopped to talk with the yelling rider and the old Dek. They didn't have time to save everyone, Kovac just wanted to find Vira and Azira. But Turrin had a plan, to garner more help. If saving the cowardly Endal's kid could be done expediently, Kovac would comply.

"Yes, yes, he can do it." Kovac voiced with some exasperation, reaching down to half help, half hoist the old Drudge to his feet. "Go." The Avora ordered, pointing down the corridor. "Now where is your kid?" Kovac inserted into the tense interaction between the riders.

Most seemed to want to help the Endal rescue his daughter as it would benefit them in the end if they could recruit the man to their assistance. However, as Turrin approached and pressed him to help them help him, all three would find the ginger was not going to be nearly so...compliant.

The truth of the matter was the man was dying and his brain simply had yet to catch up. While it was true, given the Dek he bullied, that there was a daughter inside the aerie he had spoken of, the Endal could not have gone in himself anyways. His brain had frozen itself into a moment in time, shouting at the Dek the only thing it could do as he slowly, painfully bled from the massive hole hidden in the back of his firey head of hair. None of the three hunters could see it from where they stood, but the unpleasant gurgle of blood diffusing through a hole that should not have been there could be heard.

The Dek was more than happy to go off in search of help, anyone would do and obeyed immediately the orders given him, but as he left, the Endal that had been addressing him simply stood there. He did not look at the gathered trio, only the spot that the Dek had been in. Then, like a flower in a whirlpool, the pattern began again. "You were supposed to be helping her out!!" But the Dek was gone, unable to hear the Endal's pleas. "You were supposed to be getting her out!! Why aren't you in there?! GET IN THERE NOW!!" As he shouted this last part, blood sprayed from his lips, splashing the wall (and any of the three that happened to be nearest). He swayed a moment then turned near unseeing eyes on Alori.

They seemed to brighten at the sight of her and a name came to his lips, a hand reaching for her as the pattern in his mind at last snapped. He slipped forward and the dim light in the tunnel landed on the grievous wound. It was a lethal blow, revealing how very much Dead he was (or should be). Seared brain matter had been exposed, as if a drop of lava had fallen upon him and blood bubbled in the opening, pouring out when he shifted until his skin turned sallow and his lips grey and he simply collapsed forward, truly dead before he even hit the ground.

If they made to inspect the wound further, they would find a second hole at the base of his skull where whatever had hit him first had simply burned rapidly through his bone and brain and fell out the other side. That it didn't kill him instantly was a wonder.

And should they investigate the aerie he had been trying to get the Dek to go into, they would find the entire entrance collapsed. While not nearly so bad as the rocks that had cut the three off from Azira and Lavira, they were still heavy and it would take time to clear them, time one among them wouldn't be able to afford. The head wound Kovac had suffered and subsequent gas-exposure would lend him useless in trying to clear debris, unfortunately. Turrin and Alori would be on their own should they attempt to. No, it would have been advisable for the Avora to take a breather.

Unless they chose to move on.

[Seasonal Event] Search and Rescue (Alori, Kovac, Turrin)

Postby Syveris on October 9th, 2013, 7:30 pm

The storm was strong and loud, the wind howling violently. Syveris groaned, trying to secure the dishware in her arms as she made her way through the Aeries. The strong wind and pouring rain was making her uncomfortable, and all she wanted was to deliver the commission to the Endal that had asked them and leave. The wind was getting stronger and stronger, and soon, she could barely walk straight in the Warrens. Her worry grew. Something was not right. Although there had been some storms during the season, no one had looked as bad as this one. The Avora hold the dishware even stronger, trying to secure it, and started to look around, seeing if she could find a familiar face among the Inarta. She wasn't scared. Just worried. Syveris kept repeating it to herself, looking for someone, anyone.

And then, there was a loud sound, and the tunnels collapsed. She was thrown on the floor by the force of the wind that rushed in, dropping the dishware and trying to protect her head. Syveris felt the broken glass scatter around her, and the air being knocked out of her lungs on the impact, and she tried hard to breath.

When the sound of falling rocks finally ended, she looked up, shaking. There was a strong smell of dust in the air, together with a faint smell of gas. She coughed, hard, cleaning her throat and trying to breath normally. There were people around, shouting, moving, talking about collapsed tunnels everywhere. For the first time in her life, Syveris was scared. Her eyes teared up, angst taking hold of her. She did not know where anyone was, she couldn't be sure they were safe. Her throat closed, and she felt like curling up and crying until it all went away.

Drying her eyes with anger, she struggled to get up. Her body was sore and scratched from the fall on the rock floor, and, she suspected, also from the shattered glass. The cuts were bleeding a little, but luckily, they were superficial, and she suspected the blood would stop very soon. However, it still stung. The Avora coughed up once again, looking around. She had to find a way to get out, to check if the people she knew were alright. She just had to, and crying wasn't going to help. Although she was feeling hopeless, she had to fight, to find a way out.

Syveris looked around, biting her lips and trying to breath in the heavy air. She looked carefully to each Inarta, trying to find someone. She didn't knew many Endals, but even if she could find the one who had commissioned the dishware, she would be happy. It would help her to calm down, the Avora knew. And then, a familiar frame caught her eyes.

It was Turrin, she was certain of it. She could identify the Endal anywhere. He was talking to a screaming man, two other Inartans with him. Syveris wanted to cry, happy that he was fine. Or as fine as anyone could be in that mess. She tried to control herself, but when the man they were talking to suddenly fell down, and remained on the floor, unmoving, Syveris had to close her eyes, wait for a moment for the iron grip on her heart to loose. Why was that happening?

Slowly, the Avora moved through the tunnel, approaching the group. She was shaking, she could feel it. It didn't matter if it was because of the pain or the fear, fear that someone else had died, just like the man that now laid in the ground.

"Turrin?" she called to the man, her voice shaking, She felt pathetic. Straightening up, Syveris looked at the other two. They seemed just as worried as her, however, they were keeping themselves controlled. Biting her lips, she spoke again, her voice firm this time. "What... What happened?"
