Had an awesome Thanksgiving, only to find out my van has something going on with it. Every time we turn it left or right it feels as if there is something grabbing the back rear wheel. They think it is in the All wheel drive ugh. Hopefully it is a cheap and quick fix.

That aside its been pretty stellar. Mom got the kids back in one piece on Saturday and I was able to make up for missing them for two days with the movie and on Sunday we took them to Oklahoma's highest point, Mount Scott...which of course is just a foot hill to some of Kentucky mountains which I am used to..however it was fun.

On a side note, having a totally decadent but NOT healthy dinner tonight. I am frying Chicken, making my home made biscuits (the dough has been rising all day) gravy, mashed potatoes. and corn on the cob. Yum.

So, today is my youngest son's 4th birthday. With the weather we couldn't go anywhere (oh and also the fact that our van is still in the shop) but he is finally four years old. Since June he has been adamant that he is 4 years old and couldn't be told otherwise. So now the baby doll is 4, and I am slightly nostalgic and regretting the decision that husband and I made that he would be our last.. lol. It was and still is the right decision, but yeah my babies are growing up.

Now onto the weather. We are on the verge of a winter system. Fun! It has been alternating between ice pellets and what looks to be snow but is really just more ice pellets in disguise. They are predicting 6-8 inches of the white stuff for our area. Joy! Last time we had this much snow predicted we lost power for 6 days...grumble grumble.

I've got a winter storm system too! We're supposed to have 5-6 inches. It's been raining ice, then it snowed a little, and now it's raiding ice again. Happy birthday to your son. I don't have kids yet, so I don't know what that feels like.

No, you don't need Stormwardens, silly. Those are too meager. You need Zulrav himself, to make the days nice, clear ones... no more storms for you! Just promise to be utterly devoted to him, and you'll be fine

Perhaps I can seduce Zulrav into just moving in with me, he can be my husband's Brother Husband...yup and then he will just have storms to brew up on my Honey-Do list for him

Ok so using my new boxcode number 2 Yay thanks Traverse so much!

My kids have latched onto the Mullet phrase that I haven't heard since the early 90's "Business in the front, party in the back"...and have been going around the past two days (snow days from school) saying it. Its rather hilarious when they get it right, even more funny when they get it wrong.

And husband and I are laughing at the 6-8 inches that was predicted for our area...we got a thin layer of ice, and then 2 inches of snow. No where near as bad as we feared...though a friend of ours had to tow a police car out of the ditch..which was kind of amusing.
