"As a Drykas, there is no greater joy than to work with others for the good of all."Winter is approaching and it is time for us to build up our food stocks once again with the annual hunt. The honor and rewards which come with victory in this great competition give everyone a respite from the trials and troubles which have plagued our people. Though times were desperate, we managed to battle through it all and to come out strong. Our bonds run deeper and our will more ferocious. In our souls we can feel that his hunt will be the most bountiful yet.
You will form yourselves into small teams and take to the grasslands. May your aim be true and your luck abound. The team who brings in the most quality food will be honored at the feast.
Though this is known as The Fall Hunt, you can contribute to our stores through more than just hunting. Weavers are expected to make and repair clothes meant to withstand the harsh winter; gatherers can collect berries, fruits, vegetables and other wild plants to be dried and used at a later date.
One can turn their hunted/gathered goods into any appropriately skilled member of Emerald clan the same day they were procured. Many who are not hunters - preferring to be butchers, skinners, or preservers of food products - will be waiting and available there to help you. Each product will be noted on a scrap of leather with a single hole punched in one edge. By signing up to hunt, each player will be given a small metal ring with a wooden clasp to keep these pieces of leather together. At the end of the season, the Hunter/Gatherer who has brought in the highest amount of usable product (animal hide, meat, fruits or vegetables) will be celebrated as the winner of the Hunt.
Rules:- The competition begins on the 41st and all submissions for the contest must arrive by the 88th. No late submissions will be considered for victory in the competition.
- When it comes to beasts, they must have died by your teams weapons. That means no stealing from other hunters, and no picking up carrion found on the plains.
- The no stealing applies to berries and other locations discovered throughout the region.
- No combat between hunting teams. You are all out there working for the good of Endrykas. If you work together with another team to take down a vicious beasty, figure out how to split it up fairly.
- All hunt related threads require a couple things things. One, post it in this thread if you're participating in the hunt, and mention what you're hunting or foraging in that thread.
- Second, mark all Fall Hunt threads with [Hunt] at the start of the name.
--Example:
----[Hunt] Searching for Food
----[Hunt] Taming the Beast
So on and so forth. Don't think for even a moment that if you're in far over your head attempting to take down an entire pride of Nightlions and your group lacks the skill I won't leap in and... Well, you get it. Everyone in Endrykas has a way to contribute, make sure that yours is fitting.Organization:- Code: Select all

Festival of Beginnings Events: A season of bitter colds awaits us, a time of sorrow is behind us. For one day, we will celebrate the blessings of Semele, Caihya, and Cheva. The morning will begin with the Celebration of Cloth. Women of the pavilions will bring forth their most beautiful winter garments and woven winter blankets. This is an opportunity for still unattached women to prove their worth as future wives. At noon, there will be a race around Endrykas open to all. The fall of Syna will mark the moment when the fruits of the fires that have blazed all day can be shared with Endrykas. Smoked meats and baked goods made with gathered fruits and berries will be a treat to all. When Leth rises, the Drykas, old and New, will gather together for Truths and for Tales. Throughout the day, we will be celebrating our new beginnings by exchanging hand made (or gathered) items.
The Hunter's Haul
*This section is a work in progress. Bear with us.Here is something new this season! For each successful hunting/gathering thread, each hunter will be awarded between 1 and 5 points based upon their skill level, the difficulty of the hunt, and the depth of their descriptions. These points can be redeemed throughout the season for a variety of prizes. The character with the most points at the end of the season will be given a personalized prize pack (meaning I will review what your character wants/needs and help you meet a few of them!).
Also, all threads
completed during the month of November will receive double points! Good luck to everyone this NaNoWriMo!
