Hello everyone. My character's name is Rowland (pronounced to rhyme with Lowland) and I'll be starting in Lhavit, once I've read up on a few more things and have my CS done. The raw copy is in my scrapbook. Feel free to offer ideas and suggestions. Here's a ground floor opportunity to suggest I've always had a crush on Agnusha. Or Cassandra. Or Keph.
Initial concept: a human lifelong resident of Lhavit. And my concept is that Rowland is very nosy and curious and almost rude in his desire to know everyone and everything. ( Not sure if this character has the proper mindset to worship Eyris, but definitely someone who would respect anyone he meets who does worship her. ) And then he writes it all down. However he is not critical, and will invariably write compliments and flattery. For those of you who want me to write how amazing Rowland found you while growing up or when meeting you, just PM me or post there in my scrapbook with how we know each other and we can then do a flashback thread. Or we can do a flashback and just randomly see what happens. Either way, if we're both lifelong residents, it does stand to reason that we might know each other before now. Especially because of Rowland's history.
Here's a bit of Rowland's history: very sadly, his family was among those who grew rich and powerful 13 years ago when the two Eth left; they had drudges and slaves and Deks and Kinas and Mizas and ties to a Councillor seat, and now that's all gone. All gone. His family was stripped of its title and robbed of its wealth, and thus Rowland never uses his last name if he can help it. Now he's alone and down to his last 100 or so Kinas and has to consider getting a job.
I look forward to threading and writing with all of you. I'll be at the Ball and other such places. I believe I know a thing or two about being at a Masquerade Ball having been to one in a dream. Now it will be fun to visit one while awake. Rowland sees it as a chance to make a new impression without being judged on his face or name. Let's see how it goes.
