A surreal cavern city inhabited by Symenestra where stones glow and streets are reams of silk. Cocoon like structures hang between stalactites and cascade over limestone flows in organic and eerie arabesques. Without a Symenestra willing to escort you, entrance is impossible.

Synntina listened to his words about her mother and she gave a small frown, straightening herself up a bit however. Her mother had always taught her to be calm, and composed. But at the same time, she always wanted to keep her in line, in check. She disapproved of her want to be a hunter rather than a full time dancer ever since her father gave her his first bow when he was her age. She remembered the look on her mothers face, full of disgust and disapproval. But her father talked her down and calmed her, at least while he was alive.

"My mother never approved of hunting as a profession for a woman.. I'd like to see her meet Saara."

The girl have a small chuckle of amusement. The woman she spoke of was well known by hunters as a woman who always had something to say. Be it about herself or not. Beautiful, but as unlady like as it got until a man was involved.

Avarys spoke again of her father, and suggesting ideas on what might have killed him. When he was finished she nodded, agreeing that it was surprising more people didn't try to hunt down the Symenestra people. Especially with how everyone seemed to think them all blood sucking monsters from the deep. The thought made Synntina smile,

"Maybe they're afraid they'll get caught in the web."

She said, smiling at Avarys before it faded again. He spoke of the cloak and she nodded to show she understood. He then told her of the price for the scarf. For a moment she forgot she had it in her hand. With yet another nod she draped the scarf over the back of her neck then reached her long, clawed fingers into the pouch at her side. She pulled the correct coinage from it and handed it over to him.

A Different Kind of Hunt ( Poison )

„In my opinion“, Avarys told Synntina. „Women should be able to do all the jobs that men do. And men should be able to do the jobs of women. Everything else is nonsense. I know that I’m a better dancer than hunter. If they sent me onto the surface to hunt, I would probably kill myself with my own bow. Don’t ask me how, but that’s what would happen!“ He grinned a little, and then he shrugged his shoulders.

„I’ve met Saara“, he added. „She’s a formidable woman, although she’s not exactly my type.“ He didn’t tell Synntina what „his type“ was, but if his past relationships were anything to go by, he liked Moth Queens, dancers and cousins, not necessarily in that order.

„Maybe“, he agreed as Synntina guessed that more people weren’t trying to hunt down Symenestra because they were afraid that they would get caught in the web.

„Thank you.“ He took the money from Synntina and put it away without counting it first. „I trust you“, he said. „Your cloak should be ready in about seven days. As I said, I’ll let you know when exactly!“ He paused for a bit and looked at her. „Is there anything else you need from me, pale goddess?“ he asked with a smile

Synntina listened to Avary's opinion on it and she simply nodded gently. She agreed with him, but there was a majority of those in the world who believed a woman should not do a 'mans job.' She was just one of those women to prove them wrong is all. She smiled for a few moments at his joke of shooting himself with an arrow before her smile faded again.

He spoke of when the cloak would be ready and she nodded. After he paused, and continued to speak she thought for only a few moments before a small shake of her head,

"No. You've done enough for me. Thank you."

She gave him a small smile before moving to leave, glancing over at the weaver students before she did so. Her golden eyes intense, and it almost looked as if she had a glare going on, although it was not intentional.

Winter, 21. 315av

After getting word from Avary's, Synntina made her way back to the Weft and Warp. This time donning the scarf that she had bought last time. She made her way down the stairs and into the main room again. Feeling the warm light on her skin was a welcome change to the 'cold' of the city.

As Synntina returned to the Weft and Warp, a young weaver with grey hair and large red eyes greeted her. „Welcome to the Weft and Warp. How may I …“ She abruptly broke off, took a closer look at the other woman and started grinning all over her face. „Oh my!“ she exclaimed, so loudly that all the other weavers in the room stared at her. „You are the pale goddess! Avarys wouldn’t shut up about the cloak he was making for you. He calls it his masterpiece. Wait here. I’ll get him for you.“

Before she left she whispered, „He sure is a good looking man, isn’t he? I wish he would like at me like he looked at the Moth Queen!“

A few moments later she returned with the owner of the Weft and Warp in tow. Avarys was holding a large package. The girl positioned herself right next to her boss so that she would be able to listen to everything Avarys and Synntina said and did. Avarys cast a meaningful glance at her though, and she sighed and joined the other weavers again and continued her work.

„Here is your cloak!“ Avarys said and opened the package. „It is beautiful if I may say so. I think it’s at least as beautiful as the one I made for the daughter of the ruling couple.“ He took the cloak out of the package and showed it to Synntina. It was breathtaking. It was dark violet with shimmering white fur as Synntina had wanted. „Do you want to wear it right now or shall I put it back into the package?“ Avarys asked.

Synntina turned her attention to a young woman with large red eyes who began to speak to her, then realizing who she was started to go off like she was some kind of celebrity. After noticing that everyone seemed to be staring at her she ran a hand through her silver hair a bit nervous. She wasn't used to a lot of attention. The woman whispered to her something about Avarys before leaving. Synntina gave a soft huff, shifting her weight onto her other leg. Having been wondering if the woman would ever stop talking. Her cold golden eyes followed the woman as she left and as she turned with Avarys in tow.

He was holding a package in which she figured would be her cloak. She gave Avarys a nod of recognition and listened to his words as he spoke highly of his work. When he pulled the clothing from the package, Synntina couldn't help but let a small smile run across her face. He asked what she would like to do with it and she reached out slowly to touch it before letting her hand fall.

"It's beautiful Avarys. The least I can do is wear it now so you can see your work in motion.."

She said, her voice portraying the slightest bit of emotion for once, for she was truly greatfull of his service for her.

Avarys smiled and placed a claw to his lips before walking behind Synntina and draping the cloak lightle over her shoulders. Gently he pulled it tighter bout her neck and re tied her scarf loosely to hang over her chest, blushing slightly as his fingertips grazed her collar bone before stepping back and loosing a small gasp.

"You look beautiful, lady Synntina!" Avarys stated before placing a careful hand over his mouth to contain his excitement. "The violet compliments your skin quite nicely, and contrasts well with your eyes. Do a little turn if you will!"

The cloak hung about mid buttocks in the rear, and synched upwards in the front, framing the Symenestra's Lithe and yet curvatious figure. The violet made her eyes apear much larger and deeper gold.

"Anything else I can do for you love?"

Synntina waited quietly as Avarys admired his own work on her shoulders. She returned his compliment with a small smile and a nod as she stepped back a bit and pivoted on her heel, doing a small turn in her new piece of clothing. She absolutely adored how it moved on her, light enough that she could hunt without any complications or restrictions, but warm enough so she wouldn't freeze.

At the end of her turn she grew still again, her intense yellow eyes resting on Avarys person once again. He asked if there was anything else and after a brief silence she shook her head.

"No. I think that is all. Thank you."

She spoke, giving him a small smile of thanks before her eyes turned away from him and toward the entrance. Figuring it was her time to leave, she turned her attention to him one last time.

"I believe I should be taking my leave now, so thank you again Avarys. Maybe I shall see you at the dancers hall one day."

She spoke before moving past him into the main room with all the students, she cast her intense glare like stare over them before climbing up the stairs and out of the school.
