Anna’s eyes shot wide as Brimholt seemingly refuted her claim of innocence, half expecting a blade through the back of her neck though it never came. Instead the other knight intervened on her behalf, seeming to believe her explanation of innocent. The sorceress’ eyes turned upon the pair of knights, the moment she had been waiting for had arrived seemingly. Brimholt was being restrained by Lance, giving her a clear target for both of them and then since Riyanna and Isabella were otherwise occupied she would be able to turn around in neutralize them. Chaos created from the spoken word was well enough in her favor it seemed, enough so she could close the curtain upon these fools.

The tall sorceress weaved the strands of her Djed focusing upon the Res gathered beneath the pair of Knights bickering before her. Her grey eyes narrowed, a chaotic flicker to be found behind them as she stomped upon the ground at her feet. This signaled a combination of transmutation and attraction to occur, shaping the earth into long spikes. The ground beneath both of the Knights seemingly erupted and cracked and from it were two earthen spears designed to impale the occupied knights where they stood. The sorceress would then speak her own word, a cruel smile on her lips.

“A pity Riyanna was absolutely right about me, more so than she could even imagine.” The sorceress would say assuming she managed to impale both knights on spears of earth.

The tall woman would then whirl around, fully allowing herself to cut loose and removing all restrains upon her magic. Even as she moved the remaining Res in gaseous form forward away from her body, the substance seemed to begin to exude from her body at positively frightening and inhuman speeds. It radiated upwards and outwards, swirling about her form and bleeding in liquid for from her hands and feet. The very tapestry of her Djed was being called upon just in case the initial attack failed to neutralize the Morphers.

The two clouds of gaseous res that had already been gathered would spark and crackle malevolently, visions of untold destruction playing out before her eyes as the combination of casting and extensive Res draw brought on the casting euphoria. Gods, it felt glorious to truly allow herself to draw the vital substance, amazing really in most respects in ways other wizards could not possible understand. The purple sparks in the clouds were all the warning that the pair of Morphers would receive before two bolts of purple lightning screeched towards them, their speed almost too fast for the eye to follow.

The tall dark haired woman did not exactly regret this course of action, betraying those she had brought here in order to eliminate two major threats at once. Riyanna was a thorn in her side that she had wanted to remove for far too long and these knights were providing her the perfect chance to kill her. No witnesses, as far as anyone might be concerned they simply killed each other in a fight. The Knights would not be able to threaten her adoptive daughter either, so really it was a win-win scenario.

This was of course all assuming that her initial spears had indeed eliminated the two knights and that the lightning bolts would hit their marks soon after. If not, well, hopefully the Res she had drawn would provide her with plenty of options. She could not afford to let anyone here be left alive to tell the tale of her treachery, her crimes were only crimes if she got caught. It might even be best to Void the evidence just to be on the safe side, but she would worry over that once everyone was dead.

The Knights felt a prickle on the back of their necks, the prickle that usually came to someone before a sudden danger loomed over them, being warriors, they were used to this, but unfortunately, the dangers didn't come in the form of arrows, swords, or spears, but magical earthen spikes fatally launching from the very earth beneath them. "N-" Brimholt tried to scream, his face contorting into one of realization, Lance was so shocked he went frozen, such were the effects of being betrayed when one didn't expect it.

Wearing light armor, the Knights didn't have any metal plate protecting the underside of their bodies, the spikes lethally impaling them from their crotch, through their insides, ravaging everything, and finally coming out from the base of their necks. They didn't even get to say their farewells, the two Knights died immediately, their corpses hanging in the air as fresh blood stained flowed down, staining the spikes as testament of the Chaon's cruelty.

Of course, the two morphers were still locked in intense combat, not realizing the betrayal that took just a few yards from them, when the cloud of gaseous res gathered and sparked around then, Riyanna was the one who saw it first due to her position being under Isabella at the moment, her canine eyes went wide in shock, horror, and of course, revelation, she barked but her mind screamed, "ISABELLA! NOOOOOO!" Then... before Sera Shatter could react, thunder struck them, shattering their nerves, flesh, bones, everything. Both morphers quaked in extreme pain as hostile electricity flowed violently through their bodies.

It only lasted for ticks, but felt like an eternity of torment for Riyanna, her blurred vision then captured the image of Isabella, in her hound form, going limp then fell on top of her, her body charred beyond measure, grievous burn wounds here and there... the Warden couldn't fell it, she couldn't detect Isabella's heartbeat even though their forms were pressed close, "No..." as much as she wanted to deny it, Isabella was dead, and it all because of the... "Anna... Anna.. ANNAAAAAAA!!!" She screamed in her mind, her canine mouth roaring with extreme rage, but soon hacked and coughed as blood spurted from it. This was it, how foolish was her comrades? No, how foolish was she? She should have killed that snake of a Wizard in the first place! She was sure the Wizard let Celeste be lost on purpose, and now, she was murdering her former comrades, the people she had gone through fire and flames with.

As much as she wanted to throw Isabella's dead body off her then charged with all her might to utterly butcher Anna, she couldn't do so, her body was giving up, her consciousness slipping... with a final defiant howl, the Morpher's eyes upturned as she fell into a comatose state.

.........

Of course, Anna would finish the Warden off, but before she could do so, the hooded figure emerged from the bushes, striding to the fellow Chaon, "Sister," The figure called out to Anna, "Hail the Defiler, Father of Evil, Chaos, and Betrayal," the voice was distinctly male and unlike Anna, wasn't afraid to admit he was a follower of Rhysol, as Anna turned to face him, she could see a man with dark hair, quite handsome... but his eyes... one was gray like a normal human, but the other one was pure white... eerily white and Anna could feel that one eye stared right into her soul, "A path you chose, you chose well, now, I bring a message, leave the Warden alive... let her take the blame for these infidels' deaths," He then approached closer, his voice deadly serious, "Pack what is necessary, gather your trusted ones, meet me in the Docks, you are done here, you do not belong here... we have greater plans for you." The figure then turned away, walking back into the thorny forest, but before his voice echoed in Anna's eardrums.

"You know how to find me."

The two knights had died almost instantly, blood spurting from their fresh corpses with Brimholt only barely being able to give a final half worded scream before his on death. The high light of course was the lightning striking both the Warden and the Knight, the bolts of electricity arcing through their bodies as thunder rang in Anna’s ears. The sorceress stared at her success, almost not believing at how very much she had crushed these fools. Riyanna snarled in range, a final defiant howl being directed towards the heavens but to Anna it was as sweet as mother’s milk. One of her greatest opponents on Sahova was about to be killed at her hands, her comrades tricked into fighting her and then killed by the Chaon in their midst.

A cruel grin split her lips as she started towards Riyanna’s unconscious form, reaching into her pocket for her small blade. A voice and the prickle in her gnosis halted her steps in their tracks, the other Chaon. The sorceress turned, gazing upon him she knew that he was a more blessed disciple of Rhysol, bearing two marks over her single. He greeted her as a sister, a fellow disciple of the Defiler and spoke the dark god’s name openly and without fear. She bowed her head ever so, he was more favored by the Defiler than she thus he held sway over the sorceress.

“Brother. Praise be to Rhysol, He who shall reign as King among gods.” Anna responded near automatically to the praises directed towards Rhysol.

His requests earned a raised eyebrow from her and a slight narrowing of her eyes, which were directed towards the Warden’s helpless form. Further surprise was created at being told to prepare to leave the Citadel, it sounded rather like she was being told to pack up and leave. The tall woman wanted to argue, however she stayed her tongue as the man turned his back upon her and departed her company. She was being told to leave her life on Sahova behind, part of her suspected a trick but really what else could she do? Disobey a more favored Chaon? It seemed a logical idea, considering her own penchant for treachery.

The sorceress slowly approached Riyanna’s unconscious form, her gathered Res seeping back into her body as she looked down upon the Prairie Warden. She wanted to kill her, to rob from her the last thing in her life worth having, her very existence. Anger raged behind her eyes, a stormy sight to look upon however the tall woman could see how cruel it was to leave her alive and steal from her a chance at vengeance. To let her linger, that she might grow to hate her more than any other.

“You cannot hear my words, Riyanna Sterder, but I want this moment to be remembered long in your mind. When you failed, when you were defeated by a Chaon with a few mere words and minor spells. I want you to remember your inadequacy for the rest of your days, and for you to know that it was all your own fault. Until we meet again, Warden.” Anna said, her expression changing and twisting to one of amusement.

With that Anna let go of her hold upon vengeance, knowing that one day there would be time enough to return to this place and repay every indignity done upon her a hundred fold. For now she started on the path to the Citadel, passing by the pair of corpses impaled upon her spears of earth. She would need to make a few preparations and to pack a few important items as well as any funds she herself possessed. As well as gathering her ‘trusted’ ones in order to depart Sahova.

_________________________________________________________________

The tall sorceress walked down to the Docks with everything she might need and word already sent to those that needed to know where to be. Those that might very well be leaving with her would be gathered no doubt when they were needed, for now Anna focused her attention upon locating the fellow disciple of the Defiler. As well as this mode of transportation that he had for getting them off of Sahova, both would be preferable.

“Brother. I am here, would you mind informing me of the meaning of all of this? Would it not seem rather sudden for a Wizard of Sahova to depart the island?” The sorceress inquired.

As the Chaon arrived in the Docks, she would feel the prickle of her gnosis, directing her towards the brother like a homing beacon. When Anna spoke her inquiry, the Favored Chaon simply stayed silent, looking at Anna with his pure white eye through his hood, "The answer lies within yourself, Sister," No one was nearby, but this time, he kept his voice down, just above a whisper, "What are you here? A 'Wizard'? That title means nothing for someone such as you. You are meant to be so much more than a simple lapdog of the walking corpses."

"An explanation you require, an explanation you shall have," The Chaon then abruptly turned around, his dark cloak billowing with his movement, then he made his way towards one of the boats moored in the Docks, "Follow me, and embrace your destiny."

OOCShort post this time, because what happens next entirely depends on Anna.

Anna turned to face the fellow Chaon, grey eyes falling upon him and narrowing somewhat as she clearly sought answers to her questions. The answer within herself? She was not one to deal in cryptic saying or phrases; she preferred knowing what she was getting into. Suspicion rose in her mind of course; however the sorceress quelled the voice in favor of giving the favored Chaon the benefit of the doubt. She distrusted him of course, only a fool was completely trusting after all, however he did not seem to want to lead her astray at the moment. He seemed more interested in… guiding her in some manner.

She blinked as he assessed her situation, indignation rising in her mind at her position being so easily cast aside. The sorceress had shed blood to get where she was upon Sahova, enough to where she felt a mental chain to the island as much as the signified one around her ring finger. She looked to the ring, the rubies catching the light and gleaming ever so. What was there outside of Sahova for a person like her? A powerful sorceress possessed of the marking of the dread god Rhysol, what place other than Sahova could she find purpose or meaning?

Answers were offered, tantalizing explanations of exactly what her current situation was and what destiny this man spoke of. However to gain them she needed to depart the only place she had ever known acceptance for what she was, even if it brought with it threats to her life. The other Chaon was not wrong though, Anna hated being the lesser upon this island as a mere pulser. Others had risen here, could she cast aside the possibility of a greater destiny upon this island? Could she abandon everything she had fought for, had bled for and nearly died for?

Really though, she had probably already made her choice before actually arriving at the Docks in how she had been prepared to leave. The sorceress had also allowed Riyanna Sterder to survive; she could not afford to linger upon the island then with the Warden so hostile towards her. She’d likely be hunted of course; she suspected Sahova did not take kindly to Wizards that forsook the cause of rebuilding Alahea. Knowing that she could still possibly turn back and head towards the Citadel, or return to the Prairie and finish off Riyanna to eliminate the threat to her life.

Slowly Anna put one foot in front of the other, her strides moving to follow the other Chaon easily enough. The tall woman’s motions became less hesitant with each stride though the weight upon her mind grew the closer they would draw to the ship the other Chaon used. This was it then, no turning back or second guesses, the Chaon Sorceress needed to move forward and learn whatever reason there was for this. She knew what the cost was to her, she knew what might very well happen to her but still she walked forward with the other Chaon ahead of her.

“I certainly hope these explanations are satisfying to me, while I might despise the undead here they are rather persistent I hear.” The tall woman stated aloud, her jaw set.

The Chaon kept walking steadily towards the boat, not answering the - now former - Wizard until they had embarked upon it. His steps were steady and firm, like he knew Anna was going to follow him in the end. As Anna walked ever closer towards the boat, she felt as if her chains and burdens of Sahova being lifted from her, then another chain would pull her, but this one was comforting, tantalizing, and right, these were the chains of the Defiler.

Two other figures, also wearing black cloaks, greeted them, and Anna could also feel the mark of Rhysol pulsing from their forms, but singular markeds, only the previous male had two marks of the Defiler. The two other Chaons, both females, one with red hair and blue eyes, reminding Anna of Edreina, but she surely wasn't her, the other one was a white-haired woman with light gray eyes, they were shorter than Anna due to the Sorceress' height, the two cloaked woman merely nodded at the newest arrival, speaking the short greeting of "Sister." then returned to their duties to prepare their departure.

"Do not worry, we have arranged another boat for your followers to take, I assume you have told them to come here, they will be taken to Sunberth, where we will rendezvous once arrived, now then, Sister, come," The Favored Chaon then motioned for Anna to inside one of the living quarters, the ship was a Catamaran, completely ordinary and mundane in appearance, once inside, the Chaon would promptly closed the door, then he opened his hood, revealing a rather attractive features of a man in his late twenties with dark hair, and his mismatched eyes, "There is no turning back, you have made your choice, and now, I can explain to you what you need."

The Chaon took a seat one on chair as he motioned for Anna to find a seat for her own, "I am called 'Klauth', We are the Black Suns, a holy sect devoted to the cause of Evil, our headquarter is in Ravok, the holy city of Rhysol himself," He explained calmly, a smirk adorning his lips as his voice spoke of pride, "You, Annalisa Marin, have just served the cause of the Defiler greatly, whether you realized it or not. Know that with Knights' deaths, the blame put on one of their deserters, your disappearance, tensions between Sahova and Syliras would rise... and then," He snapped his fingers, "Chaos shall be unleashed, dousing the Dread Father in glory." He made an ominous chuckle then continued.

"As an added bonus, we have found out about the artifact they sent to Syliras," Klauth took out a small parchment as he opened it then read it, "The Mageslayer, a powerful weapon capable of nullifying any magic..." He slammed the parchment to the desk, "This power shall not be in the hands of those Sylir infidels! All power rightfully belongs to Rhysol himself!" Klauth then cleared his throat as he leaned back on his deck, "We will be departing to Ravok, you shall come with us, do realize I have given you sensitive information, your life is now in our hands, but fret not, we are your fellow brothers and sisters of the Defiler. You belong here, Annalisa Marin, you always have. Now then," He motioned with his head to the door, "Go to the storage room, you... shall find your reward there."

Once he had said so, Klauth would watch Annalisa as she made her way out of the room and into the corridors, he would close the door behind her, leaving the Sorceress to venture into the storage room alone.

.........

Inside the storage room was a mesmerizing sight of Chaos, the large open space was mostly cleared of all mundane cargo, and instead was replaced by drawing of glyphs here and there, magical circles bearing the honor of Rhysol and symbols of the Black Sun, arcane writings in blood were strewn on the ground, and in the middle of the room... was a bound naked woman, her hands and feet were fastened to the floor with iron shackles, and her mouth was gagged with thick ropes, her eyes were wide in fear, she was lying in the middle of a large ritual circle, candles surrounding her form, and from her features, Anna could see this woman was familiar to her... this woman was... Velia, her former best friend and the one she betrayed, so long ago.

"Mmmmph?!" Velia noticed the figure, then her eyes went wide, if she could speak, she would whisper Anna's name in utter disbelief, what was her former friend doing here? With the people who kidnapped here? Don't tell her, Anna was the one who engineered this. Velia struggled against her bonds, begging with whimpers and sobs for Anna to let her go, convinced it was the Sorceress' doing.

Near Velia's body, Anna could see a glint of metal, a steel dagger was left there, beckoning for the woman to take it.

Scourge of Chaos and Evil (Radiant)

Anna actually felt rather alive stepping towards the ship, the promise of freedom from this place that had given her naught but nightmares. The tall woman felt oddly at peace with what was happening, her doubts starting to fall away though she did not trust the Chaon leading her away from the island. Her feet boarded the ramp up to the ship, her gaze turning back to the Citadel in the distance before mounting onto the ship proper. She had never thought to return to a ship after her initial voyage to Sahova, yet here she stood upon the main deck of a ship to depart the island.

She was greeted by the sight of two women, both singularly marked as she was and simply greeting her as a fellow sister. A traitor among other traitors, what an interesting little nest of vipers this boat must be. Anna merely spared both nods of her own as she followed the twice marked Chaon towards what appeared to be living quarters. The tall woman was interested to hear that they would be heading first to Sunberth, from there Anna had to wonder where they were to sail towards. The Chaon Sorceress suspected she would get her answers very soon.

Anna seated herself as beckoned; receiving her explanation soon afterwards and it was certainly a great deal of information to swallow. These individuals aboard the ship were apparently members of the Black Sun, a priesthood Anna had not even known existed until just this moment. Ravok she was familiar with in name and rumor, the holy city of Rhysol and where Clyde Sullins likely was from. Other than that she knew very little of it, so she merely nodded at the offered information and made a note to attempt to figure out exactly what the Sun was and how it served Rhysol.

She was then offered two very important pieces of information, the sorceress slowly smiling at her own accomplishment. Anything that brought the Defiler’s Chaos further upon the world was an accomplishment she would accept with pride. This artifact, the one Amaryllis had mentioned no doubt, was an interesting little wrench in the works. A blade that could cancel out any magic, certainly a threat to the power of Rhysol and his followers. However if it were to find its way into the possession of the Defiler’s servants then it would be a potent tool to wield against the enemies of the faithful.

“We are of one mind there, a tool such as that is wasted upon such dullards.” The sorceress stated in response.

Anna disliked the subtle threat, though the idea of having her faith not only accepted but lauded in this city was enough that the sorceress could overlook it. She had belonged upon Sahova, a trial by fire to prove her faith in the Defiler and her ability to survive the worst of situations. The tall woman had been faced with untold adversity and emerged battered but certainly not broken, a powerful sorceress that few could match and a fanatic regarding Rhysol. No, there was a place for her outside of Sahova and it was what Sahova had been preparing her for.

With a nod she got to her feet and started out of the room and headed below deck to where the storage area was, curious what kind of rewards he could mean. Serving the Defiler’s will was reward enough for the sorceress at the end of the day, knowing she had pleased him in some small manner. Still whatever reward was offered to her was not something she would turn aside out of hand, who knew what use it might serve her? The tall dark haired woman pushed open the door to the storage area, her grey eyes widening by the sight before them.

Glyphs adorned the floor and walls, inscribed in blood were various symbols that just felt rather welcoming to one such as her. This was most certainly constructed to be a holy place, but those were not the only things that drew her notice. In the center of the room was a figure she knew very well, bound and gagged upon the floor of the room. Blond tresses were violently cascaded about her head, blue eyes staring wide back at her as horror seemed to fill them. Anna’s heart skipped a beat as she looked upon her former best friend, Velia.

She had never actually thought to see her again; the woman a distant memory upon Sahova but now every raw memory of her was brought to the forefront of her mind. Anna stepped forward towards her, the other woman screaming into the gag and sobbing, twisting and wrenching at the tall woman’s heart. Then her eyes caught the glint of steel nearby and she knew exactly why it and Velia by extension had been left there. This was her reward, a chance to show her faith in the Defiler and sever the last cord to her old life.

The sorceress swallowed hard, her mind seeming to haze over as her steps shifted away from Velia and towards the dagger. Anna picked up the object and stared at it, admiring the way it gleamed in the light. It looked sharp, deadly so, enough to carve through flesh rather easily. Her heart was drumming in her skull, the world seeming to become a dizzying swirl of emotions that blended into one another to create this. Time itself seemed to slow to a crawl as she looked next upon the form of the other woman, memories of more pleasant times rising.

This was the same woman that had stayed by her side through most of her life, a sister in many ways that Anna loved and still did love. She remembered fondly their little quips back and forth, how the other woman rarely let anything get her down. How soft her hair felt when one ran their fingers through it, her lyrical laugh. The sorceress knelt down next to this woman, lowering her forehead against Velia’s own and closing her eyes as tears threatened to spill from the corners of them. This should be so simple, but this was not just some random slave or person she had no connection towards. This was the woman who had once been a sister to her.

“I always loved you, Velia, did you know that? What I did to you, I once hated myself for it and the pain it caused you. I loved you, I still do love you.” The sorceress said, her tone thick and moisture gathered in her eyes.

“I sometimes wish things could go back the way things were, a stupid child’s wish. I wish we could just sit on the docks and talk once more, to laugh and live as we did then. However, I know it can never happen again. It can never happen, because I made a choice and I now love someone even more than I do you.” She whispered, realizing it was now or never for acting.

The motion was a quick and fluid one, the blade coming up quickly and stabbing down where the other woman’s beating heart could be found. The sorceress allowed the tears to flow freely down her cheeks as she pressed her lips to Velia’s forehead, stroking her hair with her free hand. A lump had formed in her throat as she severed the last bond to her previous life, a single downward stab bringing that to an end.

“Praise Rhysol.” Anna whispered, the ritual completed.

Velia's eyes went wide with shock and utter betrayal just before Dira claimed her, entirely another level of reaction compared to the one Velia expressed when Anna stole her works in Zeltiva, no... this was betrayal of the highest order, for Anna to wrench her very life from her grasp, for the former best friend to remove her very soul from the word. Just before she truly died, Velia eyes flashed a look of pure hatred, hatred for this monster who took on the form of her friend, this abomination couldn't be Anna, her Anna couldn't do something like this, then she closed them for one last time.

As Anna lay her dead friend's head down, she could feel her gnosis, not a prickle, but an overwhelming pulse from the sudden presence to her right side, hidden under the shadows.

"Impressive."

The familiar deep voice that called out to her so many years ago echoed in the room, the divine chaotic quality and powerful presence were undeniable, the one behind the shadows was Him, Father of Chaos, Evil, and Betrayal. The One hated by almost every pantheon on Mizahar, the One who orchestrated the Valterrian ,the One who slain the God of Peace and Civilization, Rhysol the Defiler. Rhysol emerged from the shadows, appearing in the same form he showed to Anna when his blood first touched the Sorceress.

"You have grown."

Each word, each syllable, crashed through Anna's very being like tsunamis overwhelming the very ship they were on, Rhysol took a step forward, slowly, approaching the Chaon, "I find your faith, pleasing." He said simply as his right hand suddenly shot forward, violently - yet gently - grasping Anna's chin, the Sorceress would find her body freezing at the God's touch, except for her eyes, "I favor those who are loyal to me, shunning everything and everyone around them for me. Good, ever since you were born, I know you will be mine, mine alone."

Rhysol's other hand then raised as the bloodstained dagger vibrated then magically flew to the God's hand, he then raised it before Anna's right eye, the dagger's blade pulsed, covered in the God's divine chaotic essence, "A reward, you shall have." Without warning, he jammed the dagger right into Anna's right eye socket, utterly destroying the eye.

Anna could feel immense amount of pain, even more than what a fatal eye-wound would normally inflict, her mind struggling to snap itself back together, every inch of her body quaking in extreme torture, it lasted just for a few ticks in truth, but to the Sorceress, it was like a lifetime of torture, all of the torture she inflicted upon the slaves in Sahova combined into one potent sensation.

Rhysol slowly removed the dagger, yanking out the destroyed eye from its socket. Tendrils of chaotic black flowed out from the wound as they slowly gathered together, forming into a shape of another eye... a pure white eye capable of discovering every person's greatest fears, the eye granted by the Defiler himself. "Congratulations, Annalisa Marin."

Rhysol then released the Sorceress, allowing her to slump to the ground, he gave the dagger back to Anna, now she could feel the god's power pulsing from the formerly mundane weapon, "I expect your arrival in my sanctuary... soon, dear Chaon. Do not tarry." The God of Chaos then turned his back, walking into the shadows, concealing his body, then abruptly vanished, leaving Anna alone in the room with the corpse of her friend, reborn, with power pulsing from her right white eye.

Scourge of Chaos and Evil (Radiant)

The look upon Velia’s face was something she had very much come to expect, hatred towards a wretch such as herself who abandoned all human ties. It managed to hurt the sorceress in some ways, deep down she felt hurt flowing raw from where she had once loved the woman. She had done this after all; she had stolen life from the veins of the woman who had been unto a sister once, having first robbed her of her dreams and now her life. Crimson lifeblood poured out from the wound to stain her dying flesh and Anna watched with tear clouded eyes the life finally fade from her.

Anna suddenly felt something in her gnosis, an overwhelming sensation that told her on an instinctual level when her god was near. That voice, it echoed in her skull, memories from a time past now coming to mind as she turned. The sorceress glimpsed upon his white eyes and cast her gaze downwards to the floor as she held her position on her knees. Rhysol, the Defiler whom had so marked her now stood before her once more. Judging from his words he was pleased with her which in turn pleased Anna very much, pride surging in her mind.

“My Master.” Anna said by way of greeting, her own words seeming so very small compared to his own.

The sorceress found her face wrenched away from the ground and forced to look up as her body froze entirely, though her eyes could still move. Every word washed over her and seemed to bear weight uncounted behind it, powerful as the god was. The sorceress dared not do anything or attempt to do anything, simply watching the dark god with grey eyes curious and faithful. She was willing to cast aside the world itself for Rhysol, she had forsaken Sahova for him and murdered Velia, she would do yet more.

The blade within the chest of Velia’s corpse flew into Rhysol’s hand, confusion washing over Anna up until the point when the blade was brought before her eye. Instinctively she wanted to jerk back away from the blade, but Anna could not move as she stared down the tip of the bloodstained dagger. Everything about it seemed to exist in a form of crystal clarity, the metal and the blood occasionally dripping down from it. It was a simple weapon, but rather elegant in a way. The Defiler then jammed the blade into her right eye, utterly destroying half of her vision and a scream that could not be uttered raged through her mind.

Pain was her world right now, purest and seemingly without end as knives of the sensation cleaved through her mind to silence all rational thought. Her body quaked in sheerest pain, everything ceasing to matter when faced with this level of pain once again. She was reminded of her initial marking from Rhysol or the torture she had inflicted upon slaves in Sahova. The tall woman felt that she could probably go completely mad from this pain were it to never end, though surely there would have to be an end.

Slowly the blade was removed from her eye, the sickening sound of metal sliding against ruined flesh echoing in her ears. What remained of her right eye was removed, Anna seeing the world with only half her vision. However something else happened, dark tendrils washing out from the empty eye socket and filling it. The substance soon gave form to another eye, an eye Anna knew to be similar to the one the Favored Chaon had possessed. In the place of the normal grey there was a pure white orb that was reminiscent of the eyes of Rhysol himself.

It looked rather like she might be blinded, but as with the marking of this second Gnosis Mark Anna knew what functions it could perform. She would now be able to look upon a person’s greatest fears, desires, and insecurities and make them experience them. This new eye would allow her to see far more than her other had, she had been granted a gift that was completely invaluable. The sorceress slumped over from the pain that still twitched at her muscles, her breaking coming out in great gulping gasps.

This was a new and uncertain future she moved towards, trading one life for another as the path forward became very clear to her. The dagger in her fingers still resonated with the traces of Rhysol as he vanished from her sight, leaving the freshly marked favored Chaon to recover. At the moment she did not want to think, the day had been too long and her exhaustion was far too much for her to do anything other than close her eyes. She had done something today that had pleased her master; she would continue to do so going forward. That apparition of herself had been correct in one aspect. This path would hold pain, but pain was something Anna could take if it earned the approval of the god she loved most.

"Praise Rhysol, God of Gods." The sorceress whispered aloud.

Amaryllis sat in her office as always, twirling with a dagger, "Come in." She said simply as a figure entered the office, "It has been done?" A figure with mismatched eyes, the other one pure white. The figure nodded at the Chief Embalmer, "It is done. All is set."

Amaryllis paused for a couple of ticks then she politely dismissed the figure, with a small bow, the figure left the office. With a smirk, the Chief Embalmer stored her dagger back, whispering under her breath.

"Just as planned."

L2 Chaon in the form of a white-eye replacing Anna's right eye
Chaos Thorn: A formerly mundane steel dagger, touched by the God of Chaos, he used it to destroy Anna's right eye then replaced it with her new blessed one. The dagger still held traces of Rhysol's powers and as such, it has the ability to resonate against the mark of Chaon, fellow Chaons can detect the dagger as something more than a simple weapon. The dagger will also curse anyone holding it who is not Chaon, the cursed will find their vision gradually blurring up to the point of permanent blindness the longer they held the dagger. Releasing the dagger will not remove the curse immediately, it will - except permanent blindness - slowly go away over the course of a week.
