Shadiss had to admit, the man took loosing very well and he didn’t even raise his voice at her drinking from the mug first. The liquor hadn’t exactly tasted like anything that she would drink and it tasted disgusting. She didn’t even want to think about what had happened into this drink while the brawl had happened. In Sunberth, it was better to just assume that something had happened to it while it had been left unattended. Come to think of it, a poisoner other than herself could have poisoned it. The thought had only briefly entered her mind before it fled, for she hardly thought that a poisoner would waste time, materials and precious mizas to poison a drink that might not even poison the intended target. At least, she knew that she wouldn’t, for that would just simply be pointless and dangerous. It would just draw attention and possibly unedited rage that could very well have unwanted consequences which may just end with one’s death. She turned her thoughts back to the man and the drink that he was currently finishing off, he was mirroring her smirk and her lips widened ever so slightly into an even wider smirk.

His words were sloppy and she even took note of the hint of a slurred word every now and then within his tone. In truth, she didn’t think that he should be drinking at all, however it wasn’t up to her to dictate how people should live their life. If the humans wanted to drink until they passed out, that was their choice, it didn’t affect her in any way, so why should it matter to her? Indeed, caring about other people was not something that Shadiss ever did, because one of her rules was to avoid creating emotional ties. They only created extra problems, problems that she was doing her best to avoid. As the man spoke or slurred his words, she heard him mention something about a trait that was preferable in his choice of women. A scoff soon rose to her lips followed by a chuckle as his hand that had been upon her shoulder suddenly become very adventurous. Angling her head, she spied the simple fact that his eyes while appearing confident in his pursuit, also betrayed his discomfort. That was until the dice that had been lost in the brawl, suddenly smacked into his face… Again.

Her chuckle turned into a snicker as she spied that the stranger who was late to their brawl, had rolled a four. The man before her rose to his feet and she copied the movement, rolling her shoulders in the process. It was mostly to relieve the tension that she had felt within them after the stranger had gripped it tightly. Honestly, the stranger didn’t look like he had it within him to take on two other men and her crimson gaze followed his staggering movements. She couldn’t help but make an assessment that he looked like he was ready to pass out as it was. The woman wasn’t exactly good with politics, preferring to fight it out or poison the problem. However, the problem with those options right at that particular moment was Merv. Word had been whispered that he threw out troublemakers and she had been inwardly surprised that he hadn’t thrown her out yet, perhaps the other brawls had kept him busy long enough to not have noticed. She was well aware, that he would most certainly notice this one and she reached a hand out to place it upon the shoulder of the drunk man to steady him. She angled her head to view the two opposing men and a smirk fell into place upon her lips. While she didn’t normally help or side with anyone, this man although loud, could possibly help her obtain information in regards to possible connections that would benefit her. ”Keep walking boysss.”

Unknown Bells – Call off your dogs

Sunberth, 5, Fall, 514 A.V

The amount of alcohol he had consumed made him more susceptible to her well placed suggestion and Aerer found himself hesitating to join the fight. Like a dog at the end of a leash, itching for a chance to enter the fray but with an owner to hold him back. The two yokels had stopped fighting upon hearing Shadis's words. “Well? You hearf the ladyyyyy, beat it!" The slurred requests was not as intimidating or forceful as he needed it to be, but the absurdity of the situation and the attractive arm candy Aerer wielded that night persueded them into giving up the fight, at least within the confines of the Pigs Foot.

Silence reigned once more over the Foot, minus a few buzzing flies and the sound of Merv grumbling as he picked up some chairs leftover from ejected patrons. Aerer, decisively helpful that evening, bumbled towards a nearby tipped over chair, attempted to pick it up and nearly crumpled to the floor in the process. Easy now! “I seem to have misplaced my dice players” He commented to no one in particular before looking back to Shadiss. Ah the woman! Somehow he had managed to forget about her during his brief stint. Left foot followed right foot followed left foot and before you could say 'drunken slob' Aerer had found himself wobbling in front of the Dhani once more. His future one hundred Miza meal ticket in flesh and blood and he himself wasn't even aware of it.

He hand't recall consuming this many drinks. Then again, he lost count after a while and it was easy to come by additional booze when you weren't picky on which mugs you declared your own. Hands raised up and attempted to rest on her shoulders, stabilizing the metronome sway he had earned over the past few minutes. His body still ached, his stomach a mixture of bad decisions. From a sexual entity to a glorified load bearing post, Shadis held many roles for the drunken Aerer that evening. If his hands had been allowed to rest upon her shoulders (and the smells that came along with that, gods.) eventually he would try his darnedest to find a home for his head upon her shoulder too. Like an awkward teenage dance, he held on for dear life and sashayed like they were on a ship departing from Baroque bay.

“It looks like all the fun has left.” Once again, his words declared to individuals unseen. He attempted to stabilize, looking at Shadiss and offering that familiar lopsided smile. “Except foh you of course, my dear. My darling. My sweet.” Obviously somewhere else, Aerer extended his arm to point towards the exit. “Shall we embark onwards and up. Up? Upwards? Onwards and outwards. I'll keep you safe. I have..” There was a momentary seize of panic before finding his weapon to be still at his side. “I have my sword and I shall keep the beasts at bay. Noooo harm shall befaulll you my pet. Shall we?” Truthfully it wasn't much of a question, fingers had already attempted to caress inappropriately - curious, intrusive feelers even with the onset of becoming an oblivious drunkard. It would only take a minute before he started ambling towards the exit, with or without her.

Tonight he felt invincible.

Now Shadiss wasn’t exactly the one to typically think herself threatening by just simply standing there in one spot. However, she assumed that a drunk looking at blood red crimson eyes who probably saw more than one of her, felt like they were surrounded. While it was just an assumption, it was the only logical reason that she had for the men taking off when Aerer spoke. Otherwise who would listen to a drunken fool who was probably well on his way to passing out. The silence of the tavern rang inside of her ears, it was much more quieter than it had been before the fight had originally broke out. If anything, it was quieter than when she had originally entered the tavern and she wondered just how many that Merv had thrown out and how many had simply fled from the fight. Her gaze flickered back to the man that had attempted to pick up a chair, before yelling that he had lost his dice players. A shake of her head was given at this before she leaned her back against the bar. Her gaze watched when Aerer turned to face her and then began to walk towards her.

What was she going to do about him? From the looks of him and his stance, which was swaying from one side to the other, he looked like he was about ready to pass out and throw up the contents of his stomach. His hands found her shoulders once again and it appeared as if he was steadying himself using her as leverage. This made her straighten up her form so then she was no longer leaning against the bar counter, an eye brow lifting as she viewed the man. Suddenly his head joined his hand upon her shoulder and she rolled her gaze towards the roof as they slowly moved from side to side upon the spot. Shadiss had found herself in a position that was most definitely not something that she normally found herself in. Comforting was not something that she did and so she had refrained from wrapping her arms around him, leaving them at her sides. She began to wonder as to what she should do to him, for she didn’t expect him to last another bell at this rate, especially seeing as he could barely stay in an upright position. That was until he mentioned that all the fun had left.

A soft chuckled passed her lips before she shook her head and lifted a hand to run through her hair that was damp from the tumble upon the floor. Suddenly he started calling her his darling, his sweet and her nose crinkled and her gaze followed his outstretched hand towards the door. Another chuckle rose to her lips as he called her his pet. Slowly, she lifted both hands to brush his hands off of her shoulders, her own hands grasping his shoulders and she pushed against him, gently pushing his form back so then he was an arms-length away. She still kept a firm grip upon as shoulders so then her gaze looked into his own eyes. ”I am no one’sss pet, I need to leave and I am leaving without you, for I doubt that you will be ssstanding up for long.” With that, she let go of him, her hands then pulled the hood of her black coat up and over her head. A smirk widening her lips before she turned to leave, before pausing. She had almost forgotten that she had thought him to be a good possible connection to have and she turned to view the drunk man. ”My name isss Viper by the way and I am here occasionally should you ever wish to… Wressstle again.” She chuckled as she turned and left the tavern, perhaps she may run into him again at some point and should that happened, she hoped that he would be more... Sober.
