Offering quality jewelry for discounted prices, the Silver Tongue has cultivated a special relationship with the Gated Community for being a symbol of the neighbourhood's wealth and high class privilege, a beacon of opulence in a city that has grown crass and vulgar. The owner of the business, Cosette Demoya, is happy enough to bask in this positive reputation, but works carefully to keep the truth hidden from public view. Her jewels have to come from somewhere, after all, and when not plucked from the pockets of wayward travellers or slaughtered merchants, they are stolen directly from the Community's residents and then sold right back to them. Demoya has been doing this for years with little suspicion from the Community, but with the new ever-watchful Watchmen patrolling the neighbourhood streets, her little charade may soon be coming to an end.
Silvertongue's Silver Tongue is a two-storey square building, located in the southern end of the Community. The first level is entirely devoted to the business's storefront, a staircase at the very back leading up the second level's offices and Cosette's bedroom. The storefront is a glittering maze of gems, bracelets, necklaces and gaudy rings, and no customer is left unattended in the room for long - Cosette keeps a wary eye on any potential thieves that enter into her store.
