Eyeing the Night Eyes

Hanzo shadowed Cleff as they continued trailing the unsuspecting pair down the road. He stood silent as the other man explains what had happened at the Foot several moments before. A snitch, huh? Well, if anything he himself didn't plan on getting poisoned, but then again, until you feel your throat swelling, nobody does. Out of all this, one thing was certain, this wasn't some game, well not anymore at least.

But that was a good thing, he would finally have the chance to do something that actually matters.

"Those fucking shits..." The cloaked man thought as Cleff mentioned the shipment if drugs the Daggerhands were importing into the city. His brows knit together at the mere thought of some poor sob taking a whiff of whatever they brought, only to become addicted to the substance. One of the most effective ways to control a person indeed. While the town was at a shit state currently, it is still better than it would have been if the hands got more influence.

However, caught in thought. Hanzo almost colored with Cleff as he made a sudden stop. If they were to hijack a shipment of the said drugs, that would be the best place to show what he was made of.

And, although he didn't quite like the fact the Cleff left him, there was no arguing with his logic. If they were to be caught together, that would mean certain death. Thus, a brief nod was sent towards his partner as he disappeared into the darkness if the nearest alley. Taking another glance towards the two Daggerhands, Hanzo concluded that they weren't in a particular hurry.

Without further delay, the cloaked man turned to the side, only to dissolve in the darkness. The spacing between the buildings was narrow, obstructed and worst of all, smelled like piss. Despite this, as he ran, Hanzo moved with the nimbleness of a feline. After all, he knew every rathole in the town, finding an auxiliary way towards the docks wasn't hard.

Several minutes of sprinting later, the crashing of waves against the wooden hulls of the docked ships became stronger, and from time to time, a lonely seagulls would confirm that he was nearing the docks. Cover was found behind a pile of stacked boxes, located at the far end if the pier. This position allowed him to observe the happenings on the docks themselves. And, although he never knew his real parents, one of them was an Isur, and probably being the bastard child of the mentioned, had a few benefits. He could see better in the dark that any ordinary human could, and with these enhanced eyes, Hanzo searched for traces if anything unusual.

Eyeing the Night Eyes

Postby Anarkhos on September 1st, 2016, 4:03 pm

Cleff watched from afar as he moved to meet up with Hanzo. He was surprised that the lad had gotten to the location as fast as he did. Most people looking to join the Night Eyes didn't know their hand from their elbow, let alone how to get to some places of the city without using the main roads. Of course he wouldn't tell Hanzo this. Didn't want the lad getting cocky on him and messing things up.

Looking out over to the docks, there weren't many men present. There was dumb and stupid, the two men that they were trailing, as well as other Daggerhand members that were present to ensure that nothing went wrong with the transaction."Told you that we weren't running late. The ship didn't even show up yet." One man let out to his comrade who gave a grunt in response. Searching the ground, Cleff searched for a small stone before scratching lines and markings into the ground.

Alright, so how do you want to do this? We have two options. We can try impersonating whomever is supposed to be meeting these guys and handing them a fake package, or we can sit and wait until the package is delivered, and intercept it there?

Being apart of the Night Eyes was just more than cloak and dagger. One had to analyze situations and make decisions based on the information gathered. He wanted Hanzo to understand this. Either option that the boy chose they would do. This decision was entirely his own.

Eyeing the Night Eyes

Postby Zen Tanka on September 14th, 2016, 8:18 am

Hanzo scratched his chin as he considered the two options laid in front of him. Either act now, or wait eh? Both options held quite a bit of risk with them. If they were to fail at impersonating, they'd be forced to fight the Daggerhands. And truth be told, he wasn't much of an actor. On the other hand, if they were to wait, there is a solid chance that they wont be able to intercept the package, seeing as they will be even more outnumbered.

Failing was not an option, not now that he was so close. It was certain that another opportunity like this one was not going to appear. Thus he needed to impress Cleff, and convince him that he could be of use. Reaching his goal was something he could not do by himself, but rather by standing on the back of the Night Eyes.

But then again, Hanzo wouldn't mind if their cover was blown. He was itching to get into a scrap with them. With the last thought still lingering in the dark depths of his mind, a devious smirk crossed his lips, noticeable only by the faint moving of his facemask.

"As much as i'd like to wait, its getting cold out here, and i haven't brought my mittens with me." Hanzo joked as he set his sights on the Daggerhands. It was an effort to loosen himself up. Seeing as, even if he didn't want to admit it, he was feeling nervous. Goddess, what has he been doing all this time? Hanzo wished he had spent a bit more time training before he was put to this test. It was quite sudden for his tastes. Yet, in the line of work he chose, things like this were to be expected.
