The season change passes without any particular kind of fanfare, and for some it is hardly noted at all. Yet with this change comes a different atmosphere to Alvadas at last, a real sense of calm after seasons of disruption and heartache for Alvads.
Yet an Alvad won't settle with calm for long. Within the coming season the Speakers and the people unite, to weave havoc, laughter, song and mischief with Ionu's blessing. The land is a thriving hub of industry, of celebration, of teamwork, and each and every Alvad is expected to join in with the laughter, the jokes and the work.
The Proposition
1st - 25th
1st - 25th
On the 2nd of the season, two local brothers return from an expedition into the Unforgiving, bearing news of a promising enterprise some 10 days walk from Alvadas. Not much is heard about it for a few days, until the brothers are invited to a meeting with the Speakers. On the 5th, the Speakers and the brothers announce (through advertisements and word of mouth) that a band of +/-40 people are required to journey through the Unforgiving and build a road to a potential mine, alongside other tasks and jobs such as constructing a building to house workers and provide shelter, if the venture looks worthwhile enough.
Meanwhile in the city, interest is brewing over a new drug-house, owned by a trio of strangers and serving decadent delights for those that are brave enough. Alongside this, a group of like-minded friends decide to host their own party to celebrate the season change- only 20 days later of course. In a fit of madness, they extend their invitation to the entire city, and perhaps take on more than they can chew.
Challenges:
- Include an avocado, an armadillo and an orange umbrella in one single thread.
- Put your character entirely in their comfort-zone, or put someone else's character entirely out of their comfort-zone.
- Use a skill that begins with 'F'.
The illusions and the rumors :
The Quest
26th - 59th

The scouts for the mission to the mine are sent on ahead, leaving on the 7th and arriving back on the 21st. The mine is seen to be fit for use, and the expedition leaves Alvadas on the 22nd, full of good hope and cheer. Accompanied by a Speaker and a handful of Cravens, the citizens who partake are offered a cash reward for their labour. It is expected that the party will return sometime close to the end of the season, yet as the road gets built, people can return whenever they choose, as long as they send someone back in their place. [More details of this quest and its outcomes in a thread to follow.]
The quest-goers hardly dent the population of Alvadas, and the people that remain adopt a spirit of growth and entrepreneurship, going on to produce all that they can. An enthusiastic youngster asks the remaining Speakers if they can build a farm, a dream they've always had. Permission is granted, and an area outside of Alvadas is marked out as an area for expansion by the Speakers on the 30th. Although it is not exactly as exciting as Alvadas, because it lacks the illusionary power of the city, people are quick to go and explore this new place, and a few buildings, workshops and miscellaneous structures are quick to sprout up.
Challenges:
- Spend a day walking around inside the edge of Alvadas, following the wall.
- Include a massive illusion and a miniature illusion in one thread.*
- Visit a location you have never visited before.
*Massive illusion no bigger than a two storey house.

The Return

The road is built, the hut complete. The adventurers return, with much to tell and with unfortunately some causalities sadly mourned by their families. The brothers are instated as the mine owners, and they begin recruiting any more people that they need. The building of the farm is helped by some who return, and is finished just before the season turns. On the new track that snakes away from Alvadas a party is held, full of drink, food and merriment. Unfortunately, the light draws a pack of wolves, and the party turns to violence as the wolves are killed. Their pelts are given to the farm owner, who donates them to the Call of the Wilderness instrument shop. On the 90th, the shop puts on a small concert, with free wine for everyone.
Challenges:
- Devote something to Ionu.
- Attend a party.
- Thread with a PC picked at random from a dice roll!*
*Each PC will be required to post a number when registering. Simply roll a dice in chat of the value of however many have registered and whichever number it lands on, PM that character and plot with them! Dice roll is: /roll 1d8, with 8 being the number of people who have registered.

The Mischief
The Mischief this season returns slowly to Alvadas, braving the waters of Riverfall and Kenash to achieve this goal. On board, the captain despairs over 5 mutineers, and drops them off at the nearest port. They manoeuvre into the mouth of a river to avoid a large storm in the central Suvan, and make repairs there.

Either take the challenge and complete ALL of the seasonal challenges to receive: a boxcode and the Alvadas challenge badge. OR, pick 2 out of 3 from each section to receive the Alvadas seasonal challenge badge.
Please make sure that you only cover up to 2 challenges in one thread, and that you write about your chosen one in detail. Afterwards, please send me a PM with the details and the thread links. Thank you!
