With the fog getting thicker as each day passes. Ferrin insisted to continue his training. He wanted to become a better horseback rider as best as he could. Though, he didn't really grasp that that part of train will come and go just as quick as he learns it. He needs to keep practicing, to be perfect at it. Or... mostly to just ride really well. Ferrin hoped one day that he'll become a Knight, not only do they get to talk to the Windoak, but also Ferrin missed getting wages. He recalled his patron telling him that Knights of any kind get payed a whopping four Golden Mizas. It was just what he needed to continue getting some income.

"So, this fog eh?" It was Ser Xervos, he stroked the bristles over his chin. The Knight looked like he was starting to grow a beard, but Ferrin was unsure rig that's what he wanted to do.

"Yeah, i don't like the looks of it." Comments Ferrin as he mounts Cyprus. A dark black and grey colored Zavian. The stallion is just as fast as a Strider. Well, just as fast as Diria. Diria, she's Jade's Strider. Oh, how does he keep thinking about Jade? Just last season, Jade and Ferrin both agreed to adopt. They've adopted a orphan from Sunberth, and she's a Vantha. Dina. Dina was her name. Ferrin enjoyed those two around him as the best source of entertainment. They made him excited and happy at the same time

Cyprus whinnied and shook his head side to side. His horse hair tangled up with each different strand of hair floating around. Ferrin leaned back to avoid getting hit and grabbed hold of the saddle. He sighed as Cyprus began to calm down. "Easy boy." He began patting the stallion carefully.

"I don't want you wandering to far out." Replied Ser Xervos with worry. The Knight even intended to mount up on his own Warhorse it was a dark and fierce stallion. His name was Venus. It was a name that was given to the mare for her speed.

"Alright, so I'm guessing that is why you'd want to embark Venus yourself? Just to keep an eye on me?" Asked Ferrin awkwardly, he didn't like to be watched all the time. Though, Ferrin knew that this time being watched meant that Ser Xervos was caring about him and Ferrin appreciated that. Though, it still made him feel weird.

"Okay, you ready?" The Knight asked turning Venus so that the two horses meet face to face. The Zavian snorted and Ferrin nodded.

"Ready as I'll ever be."

[Windmount Stables] Easy Now.

Postby Evana Joywave on September 8th, 2016, 5:03 am

Walking through the thick fog with tendrils of it tangling through her red curls unnerved Evana to the point that she not left her ship for many but just sitting on the deck was starting to get boring. Before the fog had fallen Evana had gone on long walk around the city before the fog had descended and the sight of the stables had caught her attention and now she made her way there not only to cure her boredom but for the sake of curiosity as well.

Upon entry to the stables she was surprised to find other people despite the weather. One of the Knight and the other a tall man non descripte man stood in conversation and the Svefra might of left if the younger one had not mounted one of the horses. The horse in question was unquic to the blue eyes of the girl as it had two tones to its coat black and a dark grey and stayed perfectly still while the young man mounted. Her blue eyes grew wide as she watched her curiosity urging her forward to watch the beast reaction to having a man sit on it.

Once the Rider was astride it back the horse shifted under the rider shaking its head as if to say he did not want to leave the warmth of the stable. Evana watched as the rider petted the beast lovingly as the knight continued to speak walking over to a horse with a dark coat and mounting it. Both men turned the horse to face the door and by chance to the corner from where Evana was watching.

“Wait!”” Said the knight spotting evana at the same time His companion had said he was ready. Looking down from his seat atop his steed he watched Evana cautiously “”Who are you little girl and what are you doing in the stables?” Evana face went bright red not used to being caught out she sighed and looked the knight in the eye.

“My name is Evana Joywave and all I am doing is watching - this building is open to the public I am not doing anything wrong. Why who are you, a teacher?” she said pointing to the board attached to the stable door “”It say leason are 10 gold miza per bell - are you willing to teach me?”

As she stated she was interested in lessons a stable boy began saddling one of the horses kept by the Windmounts for the purpose of teaching riders. It was of a smaller breed than the two the men had mounted and had a grey coat. “”One of the windmouts will be out shortly to speak to you if the knight does not wish to teach you lady.” the boy said look between her and the two men. Evana looked at the knight as well awaiting a reaction.

Ferrin heard some conversations take place as he and Ser Xervos were just about to canter their horses away from the barn. Cyprus whinnied as he stopped. Ferrin turned, Ser Xervos stopped his horse as well.
"Boy, that's not our problem." Ser Xervos informed the squire. Ferrin looked over at his patron and peered through the fog, trying to read the mans facial expression. He looked tense.
"What if somethings wrong?" Replied the squire. "We should at least go and see." He added turning Cyprus towards the barn.
"Fine, but I'll see what's going on." Retorted the knight.

The two horses cantered over to the barn. Ferrin and Ser Xervos began to hear debating. The knight trotted his stallion towards the fellow Knight arguing with the little girl. Ferrin laid back with Cyprus.

"Whats going on here?" Barked Ser Xervos looking at the other Knight with a cocked brow.

The knight turned. "This girl here is bothering me to teach." Replied the knight. Ser Xervos looked at the young girl.

"You alone?" He asked her. Looking around for her parents as best he could through the fog. Ferrin trotted Cyprus beside Venus. "Is everything alright," Ferrin asked calmly, dismounting Cyprus to stand beside the stallion.

"What do you need my lady?" Asked Ferrin to Evana.

"The name's Ferrin." He informed her, waiting.

[Windmount Stables] Easy Now.

Postby Evana Joywave on September 15th, 2016, 1:06 am

Evana had moved over to the horse that had been saddled for her and began petting the animal as she had seen others do. For some reason the knight did not look happy at the idea of teaching despite the fact she had offered to pay. Infact his face was scrunched up in a scowl as he glared at her. She was about to ask the stable boy who hover waiting for the Knight answer to fetch one of the Windmounts when she heard the sound of hoof and two men who had left previously returned drawn by the noise.

Evana circled around the horse placing it between her and Ser Xervos and Ferrin not certain what to expect from the two men now entered the barn. The first thing Ser Xervos did was to enquire of the knight what was going on. Evana huffed as the knight she been talking to previously stated that she had been bothering him. All she had done was ask a question. Hearing the gruff voice of Ser Xervous she looked up at the imposing man still mounted on his horse.

“Yes i am alone Sir, “ she said curious as to why the man had asked, Her curiosity was curbed how ever as Ferrin went on to ask if everything was alright. Evana paused and thought over the current situation before answering

“ Everything is fine i believe there was just a misunderstanding between me and the knight...” She broke off mid-sentence as her attention was drawn to the squire accompanying Ser Xervous as he dismounted he began to walk toward her introducing himself.

“”It is nice to met you Ferrin my name is Evana. It nice of you to ask if I need anything but in all honesty I am fine. I came to the Stables today to look into riding lessons and I made the mistake of thinking that your patrons fellow knight would be interested in earning some extra coin. No harm done i hope?” she asked looking past the squire to the two knights nervously as she found them both to be imposing figures

“”Now that i know that he is not interested I will wait for one of the Windmounts to come down, unless your Patron and you wish to teach me in which case i be happy to pay.” she said with a smile

"It's good to meet you to." Ferrin said with a smile. "You're looking for a teacher?" He asked her not so sure what to really do. "Um, maybe my patron would be able to help with that?" Asked Ferrin to whomever.

"Oh, sure." The knight said simply following with a nod. "I'm Ser Xervos." he added inspecting Evana curiously. "You best stick with us then. If your that desperate." He scoffed looking at the lady, not very pleased with his outcome. "I'm sure you'll learn a few things that'll be useful to you." Asked the knight. "Ferrin, lets remount and continue your training." He paused, "also so that Evana could pick up a few things from you." The two mounted up on their stallions and Ferrin steadied himself, his shield strapped in one hand and his blade now sheathed.

"Be careful Evana, as riding a horse could be challenging." Ferrin informed her. "There's a lot that comes to riding a horse." Added Ferrin steadying himself on his saddle. Cyprus seemed a little nervous as his whines were uncontrollable. "Quiet it's just another lady, Cyprus. No need to freak over about it." Ferrin began to pet him, and Cyprus was beginning to calm down. "Easy now." He cooed, petting the stallion's neck. "Have you been riding before?" Asked Ferrin. Ser Xervos sat comfortably waiting, on the saddle.

"You two ready?" Asked Ser Xervos almost impatiently.

"I am." Replied Ferrin. He looked over at Evana to see if she was ready. "Are you?" He asked her.

Evana returned Ferrin smile following the squires line of sight to work out which of the knights was his patron. She nodded to the Knight who introduced himself as Ser Xervos as she saw the familiar sight of disapproval in his eyes as he looked her up and down. She was short and slim in stature and looked very frail, But appearances could be deceiving as Evana body was strong as she had spent her childhood in the port of Zelitva with the fishing fleets an atmosphere where she had built up her muscles. She simply continued to smile at Ser Xervos knowing there was no use in losing her temper.

The man greeting was to quick for her to reply to as he turned from her straight to Ferrin telling the boy to remount. Evana watched this carefully noticing how Ferrin shifted his center of gravity to climb atop his horse. She knew that Ser Xervous was right in the statement that she could learn a lot from the squire.

“”Thank you both for allowing me to accompany you.” she stated as Ferrin tried to settle his stead who was uncertain of her. “”yes i have ridden before.” she said not adding that she had been in control of the horse at the time rather a length of rope had been attached to another horse a friend had been riding.

Grabbing at the horse's mane Evana placed her foot in the stirrup and swinging her leg over the horse that had been assigned to her copying the movements that Ferrin had made when mounting. The result was that her first attempt to get onto her mount was successful and she now sat astride the beast as it shifts from one hoof to another growing accustomed to her weight. Turning the mount around she moved it out and over to the two waiting men

“”I am ready.”

Ferrin watched Evana swing her body of the mare. It was good form alright, but Ferrin couldn't just give her the benefit of the doubt. If she's to practice with them today, then she must follow what the Knight says.

"I am ready." She said after Ferrin asked her if she was.
"Alright." Replied Ferrin. He then looked over at his patron who was glaring through the thicket of the fog. "See anything yet, Ser?" Asked Ferrin hoping that he could still practice.

"No, nothing yet. Though keep your eyes open, both of you. I don't trust this fog, it's so odd that it hasn't left after one day. Now it's been three. It's only getting thicker." Observed the Knight wearily. "If this keeps up, it'll be too dangerous to even travel the streets." The knight spoke in an alarming tone. "This weather needs to change soon." He added.

"Yeah, it does. Even though it reminds me of Kenash." Ferrin added. "Though, the fog there isn't usually so thick." The squire commented.

"Okay, it's been long enough. Now, lets get back to training." He looked over at Evana. "How good are you at riding a horse, and at the same time, bearing a weapon? Would you be able to fight?" Asked Ser Xervos cantering Venus closer to Evana and her horse. "Remember, I'm not going to teach you just basic riding. I'm a Knight, so bear that in mind. If you're going to be under my command for this session you'll go by what I say."

[Windmount Stables] Easy Now.

Postby Evana Joywave on September 19th, 2016, 12:42 am

Evana looked out into the thick mist as she listened to Ser Xervos not wanting to be surprised by anything looming out of the fog. Being a visitor to Syliras she had no idea what the weather was Normally like. In fact she had very little knowledge of life outside of the city of Zeltiva which was one of the reason once she was able to travel alone she had come to the capital of Mizahar first.

She had been about to ask Ferrin about Kenash when the knight turned to speak to her leaving her to reflect on just how good of a rider she was. She knew enough to be able to stay on the horse but that was with two hands holding the reins. After a moment she replied

“I have not tried fighting on horseback but i will follow your lead Ser Xervos. And give it a shot.” she replied carefully. Evana did not carry a weapon with her in her day to day life as on the dock back in zetiva it had be seen as an open challenge to try and take you down. Any fights that she had gotten into, and there had been quite a few had been fist fights. Parts of her squirmed at the idea of telling the knight this but after a deep breath she found her voice.

“”However Ser Xervos i have no weapon, perhaps i could borrow one?”

Ser Xervos inspected the lady once more, he arched a brow. "Well, the very least you know how to ride." Ser Xervos sighed, he didn't want to have this lady who didn't know how to wield a weapon under his command to get harmed. Sure, Ser Xervos had training in his mind. He needed to train Ferrin so that Ferrin could of course rank up and become a Knight himself. The Knight peered over at Evana then back to Ferrin.

"Well than." He said thinking of a way to come up with a lie. "Let's just push the thought away eh?" He chuckled nervously studying the fog around them, looking for the track. "We can always begin a race?" Ser Xervos said.

"Well first we need to find ourselves the track first." Ferrin said looking over at Ser Xervos, then he turned Cyprus around by the reins and attempted to recall where the location of the track may be. "Well, there's fences." Observed Ferrin through the thicket of the fog. "Evana, you good enough to race?" He teased, looking back at the young lady. "I'll give you a head start?" Ferrin paused. "As long as we can see our way through the fog."

[ooc=ooc}Sorry for the asking of the weapons. Knowing the fog, it wouldn't be wise to practice with weapons and without knowing, Ferrin could maybe kill Evana or even the other way around as the fog is too thick to barely see through.[/ooc]

[Windmount Stables] Easy Now.

Postby Evana Joywave on September 23rd, 2016, 2:42 am

Evana watched as the man turned around and glared at her obviously not happy with her statement about being unarmed. Keeping her face straight she simple looked back at the knight. A small smile passed over her face when she heard Ser Xervos state that she knew how to ride. She straightened her back instead of slouching over the saddle proud that he memory and skills of observation had served her well.

Evana watched as both men looked into the fog silently happy that fighting had been put of to side by Ser Xervos. Her face broke into a grin, her sky blue eyes sparkling as the idea of a race was brought up. Ferrin seemed inspired as he began to search for an usable track. He pointed out the line of fences a shot distance for the three of them. Ferrin tried to bait her asking if she thought she was good enough on a horse to race. Truthfully she didn’t know but she was willing to give it a shot.

“We will see Ferrin, it will be interesting to see what happens, especially with the head start you have so kindly offered me. Will you be joining the race Ser Xervos?” Evana asked of the silent knight. She rode her horse over to the fences “”So where should we place the finish line?” She ask her two companions who were simply darkened shapes and unrecognizable in the fog.
