A Date on Horses [Kayiri]

Postby Edalene on January 24th, 2011, 4:55 am

24th Winter 510AV

Edalene paced and paced throughout her pavilion. He was late. Of course he was late. He didn't really want to come, did he? Of course he didn't! It's not like he had asked her. She had asked him. Petch. He didn't want to come! But then again, he had said yes...

It had been going like this, round and round and round, for the last several days. Eda hadn't seen Kayiri for quite a while, not since that shopping expedition with his friend, Tebridiar. She had bumped into him a couple of times, throughout the city of Endrykas - and to be fair, she had "wandered" around his pavilion quite a bit. On the last time, though, she had done something rather extraordinary...

Bumping into Kayiri randomly one day, outside the War Pavillion, they had spoken briefly for several minutes - catching up, enquiring as to eachother's health. It was only when Kayiri had said he had to rush, he had a class to teach, that Eda had blurted out the question she had wanted to ask for quite a while now.

"Kayiri, would you like to go out riding one day? Just us two..." She twisted her hands, worried. She couldn't believe that had actually come out of her mouth.

Her heart had clenched as he paused, turning back to her, his face thoughtful. "Of course I would! Does the 24th sound good?" A woosh of breath, and Eda could breathe again. "Of course it would Kayiri! I'll see you then! Sunblaze Pavillion!" And with that, she had skipped off, step light as heart.

Now that is WAS the 24th, the butterflies had returned. She was wearing a hole in the pavilion floor, earning glances from Yartree, her cousin (who had never really liked her, anyway). She ignored him, and kept pacing. Where was he?! She had obtained permission from her father - who to be truthful, didn't really care what she did - to go on this adventure and to borrow one of the Pavillion's horses. All that she needed now was Kayiri.

A Date on Horses [Kayiri]

Postby Kayiri on February 2nd, 2011, 12:42 am

Kayiri wasn't late. Of course, he wasn't particularly early, either. Nor was he on time... But he was arriving precisely when he meant to! Except not really. Fine, he was late, but putting it that way made it sound so impolite and inconsiderate. It's not like he was a wizard!

The proud warrior had been attaching the yvas to his beautiful mare, whispering soft words into her ear about how today was going to be a day to be enjoyed. "We're going riding with Edalene, Serenity," he would whisper, a hand on her neck. She would blow air out through her nostrils in response, her way of acknowledging without words, as if she was saying: "Yes, I know, Kayiri. You've told me this a million times. I know you're excited, but you don't need to tell me again." Kayiri would never quite get this warning through his skull, and would repeat the same phrase over and over, as if hoping he could get a verbal response out of her, despite the fact she was a horse.

Finally, he threw a leg over Serenity's back, deciding that he had provided enough attention to her beautiful buckskin coat for her to carry him with the speed and dignity he required for this occasion. His gut sank as he realized that he was more than a little late, more than a little tardy for the event that he had been so excitedly babbling about for the past few hours. A quick squeeze of Serenity's flanks with his knees urged her forward, and she answered the urge, shooting forth at a quick trot. A push on her right flank with his knee, accompanied with a lean and slight turn in the yvas, guided the familiar companion in a right turn, and then they were off. Thankfully, the Sunblaze Pavilion was not all that far from his own Pavilion, so the actual ride was kept short, keeping Serenity well-energized for whatever sort of activity Edalene wanted to engage in with the horse she took from her Pavilion.

When he finally found the Pavilion, he turned his feet, so that he was riding side-saddle, until his boots found the wood of the Pavilion, at which point he fully dismounted, not even bothering to stop. From there, he went straight into a walk, pushing open the flaps of the main tent, ducking his head so that he could slip inside, brushing his dark brown locks back behind one ear as his green eyes scanned for the one person he was looking for. He found her, all right. She was pacing like a mad woman, looking like she was going to catch the entire Pavilion alight with the friction she was creating by walking back and forth across the wooden ground. Judging by the fact that she kept pacing, she hadn't spotted him. He would use this to his advantage. Silently, he crept up behind he, sticking to the shadows that were on the edge of the tent, pausing whenever she made one of her wild, frantic turns. Eventually, he came somewhat close enough, and decided to pounce.

He sprang across the room, sprinting, his powerful legs carrying him, muscles moving, powering his across the room until he was behind her, where his inhibitions melted away. He wrapped his arms around her stomach as he had many times before, pulling her against him, at which point he reared back, lifting her wiry body from the ground with ease, muscles tensing at the sudden weight. Quickly, he span around twice, letting out a "wheeeee", laughing. Then, he stopped, setting her down, twirling her around so she was facing him, where he delivered a quick hug and a dashing smile.

"My apologies for being late! I woke up on the wrong side of the bedroll, and spent a little too much time getting the lovely Serenity ready," he apologized quickly. "You're looking much more lovely than she could ever look today, but don't tell her I said that," he then added, after a quick inspection of her form, a smile finding its way back onto his face, a playful wink in it's company. "Anywhere in particular you'd like to go?" he already had her hand in his, leading her to the exit of the tent, eager to get this date underway.

A Date on Horses [Kayiri]

Postby Edalene on February 2nd, 2011, 10:38 am

Step, step, step. Turn. Step, step, step. Turn. Rinse and repeat. The pattern that Eda padded out over and over this morning was nauseating to Eda, who was getting dizzy - and she was sure her cousin Yatree was getting irritated. He sat on his bedroll in the corner trying to write something, but kept glancing up to Eda and glaring under dark eyebrows. Finally, it seemed he could not keep his mouth shut.

"Edalene Sunblaze, for the love of the Gods, would you STAND STILL, YOU IRRITATING CHILD!" His outburst shocked Eda, whose foot faltered right before she placed it down and she tripped over her own foot a little. After regaining her balance, she straightened herself up, back straight. Hmmmm, how to respond sophisticatedly.

After pausing for a few moments, she decided to stick her tongue out at the irritating man and continue to pace. It was as she was brooding over the as of yet unappeared Kayiri, and whether or not he genuinely wanted to go out with her, or whether it was a pity date - which, at the moment, was what seemed most likely - when suddenly, a large heavy set man lunged at her from the shadows of her pavilion. She shrieked loudly into the attacker's ear as strong wiry arms lifted her into the air, and began to spin her around. The man, as her attacker was - perhaps he was trying to dishonour her! - was squeeing with glee as he spun her around, laughing. He was insane too! In a panicked move, still freaking out and trying to escape the attackers grip, she hit him on the forehead as hard as she could manage, aiming to hurt as much as possible.

It was only after the mystery man released her, stumbling from the sudden drop that she saw it was Kayiri. Immediately turning red she glanced down, as Kayiri lunged forward and gave her a smile and hug, though the whack on his head must still be stinging. Edalene always did this, she always overreacted before she knew the facts, and frankly, it was embarrassing. Looking up at him, she put a hand on his forehead, wincing as she felt the skin already inflammed. Apologies began to force their way out of her mouth, unregulated and unchecked by Eda's often nonfunctional mind.

"Kayiri, I am so so so sorry. I didn't know it was you! I would never have hit you if I had known it was, well, you! I'm so so so so unbelievably sorry! I hope it doesn't hurt too bad... Yartree, get off your butt and get something to put on his forehead!" It was at this break in her rambling she heard a distant "NO, Eda." She blushed and looked down, her hand still on his face. As soon as she realised this, she pulled her hand away as if burned, still feeling Kayiri's warm skin on her palm, and missing it already. The thought made her blush all the more. "Once again, Kayiri, I can't say how sorry I am."

Eda blushed as he complimented her. He thought she looked pretty? Lovely, even? As always, her mind working on overload, her cheeks stained a permanent red. Did he genuinely mean it, or was he just patronising the younger girl who looked pretty, in the same way as little girls who were blonde were pretty? Life was too confusing. She wished she was alluring and could seduce Kayiri, but of course she couldn't. Eda was clearly too young for that. Damnit!

She giggled just a little as he winked at her, smiling goofily back at him. She couldn't help it, she turned into a giant sap around him. Intertwining her fingers with his almost subconciously as he took her hand to pull her out of the tent, she waved to Yartree absent-mindedly and thought about the logistics of the day.

"Kayiri, I was thinking that we would go riding. We didn't get to go after our shopping trip." She waited for a response, hoping that he would say yes. Riding was something she was actually half decent at, and likely wouldn't embarrass herself whilst doing. Or so she hoped. As they exited the tent, she spotted an absolutely beautiful mare standing outside quietly. So this was Kayiri's Strider. Looking shyly up at him, still reluctant to let go of his hand, she posed a question. "I see you've got Serenity ready. I haven't met her, may I?"

A Date on Horses [Kayiri]

Postby Kayiri on February 18th, 2011, 3:00 am

Thump! The warrior barely even registered the blunt blow to his head. All it was to him was a flailing limb, an accidental hit. The stinging was simply an... unwanted side-effect of said accidental collision. As such, he carried through his motions normally. He had felt worst pain than the stinging of, to put it bluntly, a poorly executed strike to the head. Shrugging off the small amounts of pain she had inflicted upon him was nothing to the warrior who had seen battle, to the warrior whom had been scarred by on multiple occasions. "It's fine, Edalene, truly," he said with a hearty laugh, smiling at the feeling of her hand against his forehead. Said smile shifted into a small frown when she drew it away, returning it to her side with a somewhat awkward glance. "Once again, Edalene, I can't stress how fine I am," Kayiri announced simply when she insisted on apologizing yet again, chuckling quietly.

It was at that point that he led her outside of the Pavilion, walking with a spring in his step. "But of course," he said simply in response. It was at that point that he motioned to the mare positioned in front of the wooden platform that made the Pavilion. "I did, after all, prepare her for just such an occasion," Kayiri then said, smiling proudly at his work. A curious tilt and turn of his head found her big, open eyes, the ones that she made when she possessed a question that she was wording in her mind. Silently, he watched her, awaiting the words. Then, she spoke them, asking if she could meet his beloved Strider. "But of course. I would have it no other way," he said. At that point, he hopped off of the wooden platform of the Pavilion, landing on the ground beneath them. A quick turn of his feet turned him around, as his hand found its way back into hers, aiding her down from the moving platform, onto the solid ground beneath them. An eager tug dragged her up to the mare's beautiful head, where he sighed softly, looking at her eyes as she focused on them both.

"Hello there, gorgeous," he whispered softly, stroking her mane. "Say hello to Edalene. She wanted to meet you," Kayiri then added in. "Say hi, Edalene," he then said softly, backing off slightly to let the two get introductions out of the way. Or, well, as much introduction as one could have with an animal that didn't respond. With a sharp breath through her nose, she nuzzled Edalene's shoulder softly, which brought forth a quiet chuckle from Kayiri. "She likes you!" he declared proudly, striding back over to the pair, tossing a leg up and over Serenity's back. His right hand extended to Edalene, while a curious tilt of his head beckoned for her to get onto his horse with him, so he could take her to her own mount. When she took his hand in hers once more, hefting herself up onto his mare with his help, a quick squeeze of her flanks brought them both to a quick trot, while he steered with his legs, guiding the horse to the herd that roamed freely around the ever-mobile Pavilion. Upon their arrival, he dismounted, helping her off of the back of his horse, and began looking around curiously for the horse she was going to ride.

"Is that the one you prepared earlier?" he asked, pointing to a horse that was already groomed, bearing a yvas upon its back. He strode up to it calmly, examining it, nodding silently as he did so. "I believe that Serenity and her shall make a fine sight together, riding through the streets in tandem," he then declared, looking over at her, smiling warmly at her. A muscular arm wrapped its way around her shoulders, pulling her close to him in a quick, but tight, embrace. "Do you need help, or shall we set off?" he asked curiously, ever the gentleman, ever offering assistance, even if it might not be needed in the slightest. One could never be certain.

A Date on Horses [Kayiri]

Postby Edalene on February 20th, 2011, 9:34 am

Eda still felt terrible despite Kayiri's many attempts at telling the profusive Eda he was fine. It didn't MATTER if he was fine! The point was, Eda had still hit him and it was rude to hit people. Eda may have been absolutely awful at hurting anyone - she was pretty sure the whack had felt like a butterfly's kiss to the brawny Kayiri - but she still shouldn't hit people. It was wrong. Her father has spent many years trying to teach her that. Despite her guilt, Eda smiled when he smiled. She tried to figure out what she had done wrong when a small frown graced his face. Before she could question him about it, however, he was already off and away.

Eda was glad Kayiri never once let go of her hand as he dragged her out to meet his beautiful Strider. Her heart sunk when he dropped it, as he jumped from the Pavilion to the solid dusty ground, though it picked up speed again when he once again intertwined his fingers in hers. Good. He was as reluctant as she to have any distance between the two of their bodies. Perhaps she had a chance with this man after all. She sincerely hoped she did.

She suddenly felt quite intimidated as she was introduced to Kayiri's beautiful strider. She was a steady, patient horse and Kayiri evidently had a very strong connection with her. It had been a while since Eda had been near any Strider. She was grateful to Kayiri that he let her so near to his, as her father had stopped her from going near his own. Eda sincerely hoped that once day soon she would bond with her own. She was not half the person she could be with one.

She quietly looked up into the beautiful expressive eyes of Serenity. "Hi, Serenity. I'm Eda." She giggled as the horse nuzzled her shoulder, and smiled when Kayiri exclaimed jubilantly. The laughter from her and the pure joy she percieved from him made her ramble a bit more than she usually would have. "Good, I'm glad! She'll be seeing a lot of me, I hope, so I wouldn't want her to dislike me!" She laughed until she realised what she had just said, and when she did, she slapped a hand over her mouth. She began to apologise excessively. "Kayiri, I am so so sorry, I don't know why I said that. I'm sorry, I should have kept my mouth shut!" She blushed bright red, though did not release her tight grip on his larger hand.

Though Kayiri himself let go of her hand, as he swung up onto Serenity's back. Still embarrassed, she took Kayiri's hand and hoisted herself up (with his help, though she did not need it) and sat behind Kayiri astride the horse. They rode the few seconds to where the rest of Eda's pavilion's horses were, and dismounted together. Eda smiled as she saw Maliki still where she left him, still grazing happily. Maliki was her horse, the one she had trained one when she was little. While she may not officially own him, she was the one she was the most attached to, and she would miss him, just a little, when she bonded to a Strider. Though she would always come back to have a little fun with Maliki.

She nodded happily at Kayiri's question. "Yes, that is the horse that I prepared. His name is Maliki, and he's beautiful." She was about to walk up to him and cuddle his neck, as was her usual pre-ride ritual when suddenly, Kayiri's arm snaked around her shoulders pulling her tighter to his body. She wrapped her arms around his back, resting her head on his chest. She was exceedingly disappointed when he released her almost as swiftly as he had grabbed her. Kayiri really was far too swift at the embracing thing. She made a note, that before the day was over, she was going to gain a proper embrace from the Drykas warrior.

Pulling back a little, she shook her head. "I may be young, Kayiri, but I am not too bad with a horse." She walked over to Maliki slowly, hoping to sashay her hips the slightest but probably just looking like her thighs were sore from riding all day, and gave his neck a quick cuddle. "Hey there, handsome," she whispered to him softly, unheard by Kayiri. "I'm on a date! You're going to be escorting us while we go riding." Maliki gave a soft snort, as if protesting. "No way, Maliki! You'll always be my best man." She leaned in and placed a soft kiss on the horse's wet nose, laughing as he shook his head slightly. Swiftly, she mounted him, and looked down at Kayiri still standing. "You coming, then?" She grinned. She loved being on a horse. She should ride more for leisure.

A Date on Horses [Kayiri]

Postby Kayiri on February 26th, 2011, 12:27 am

Youthful confidence and pride, one of the most powerful things in the world, and something that radiated off of her in waves. He chuckled gleefully at her joyous reaction, that bob of her head as she blurted out her answer. "Aye, that he is, Eda. That he is. You've prepared him very, very well!" he then declared, beaming in that way only he could. A little frown and a rapid shake of his head, causing his long hair to flow wildly, were given as she sounded a little defensive about her age and his question. "I never said you were not capable, Eda, I simply asked if you wanted aid, like a polite man," he raised his hands, palms facing outwards to her, his face curling into that, "Hey, I didn't do anything, don't look at me like that!" expression of innocence often seen on the faces of children.

A smile once more curled at the lips of the warrior as he watched Edalene greet her horse in a fashion not to dissimilar from the way he greeted his own. If this was how attached she was with a horse that was not of the noble blood of the Striders, he couldn't even begin to imagine how she would treat her Strider when one finally chose her-- and he was certain one would. No doubt, she would treat them like the king that was really underneath their horseskin, that toned muscle that laced over their entire body. This little train of thought took him farther than he though it would as he forgot to get off at his stop. It blazed down the tracks, until she pulled him off with but a few words, shaking him back to reality. Green eyes dilated quickly as he regained his focus on her, and another slight smile and a quick little nod of his head was all he spared her for an answer to the quick question. A sharp turn was executed on the heel of his right foot, as long, powerful strides carried him to the side of his mare, where a powerful pump of his legs brought him up and onto her back, his hands stroking her mane affectionately.

A little squeeze of his legs urged the mare to her stallion's side, where he brought them so close that their legs brushed together. His tongue passed over his lips before he opened his mouth. "Now, show me how well you can ride," he said softly, winking playfully at her, leaning in next to her. His soft lips pressed against hers, taking her bottom lip in between his. After a few brief seconds, ones that felt longer than any had in a long time, he sat back upright in his yvas, smiling at her slightly. Another squeeze of his legs sent Serenity off in a slow canter, which was still enough to put some distance between Edalene and her stationary horse. "Catch me!" he said playfully, looking back at her, trying to catch her reaction. One flank at a time, he pressed his legs up against Serenity, urging her into little figure eight patterns, waiting for Edalene to catch up with him. He bobbed up and down in the yvas in perfect synchronization with his horse.

As this was going on physically, his mind was racing. He had kissed her. A beaming grin broke out on his face yet another time. Happiness flowed through him as if it was part of his blood, like it was within his very veins. For the first time in a while time, he could truly say that he felt entirely happy. Not just that happy that one felt everyday, but that happy that one felt when they had done something truly extraordinary. Of course, this may be nothing. It may just be that shot of adrenaline, that temporary rush. Only time would tell. For now, though, he would enjoy this happiness while it lasted. His eyes continued to rest on Edalene as he turned once more in his figure-eight. "Are you coming?" he asked curiously.

A Date on Horses [Kayiri]

Postby Edalene on February 27th, 2011, 6:57 am

Eda smiled appreciatively as he complimented her on her preparation of Maliki. The two were close, he was her childhood friend - she had learnt to ride on him. The horse was old now, and certainly not as fast as Kayiri's Strider, but she loved him nonetheless, and would continue to love him for a long time, even after he was gone. She felt bad that Kayiri felt he had to defend himself, and so, as she cuddled Maliki's head, she apologised. "Sorry to be defensive. My father, and my cousin, Yartree... they can be pretty harsh on everything I do. I'm used to people thinking that what I do is less than satisfactory." She smiled awkwardly, not quite sure why she admitted that, and shrugged, kissing Maliki's nose quickly before swinging up onto him.

Eda watched, perhaps gawking a little, as the muscled Kayiri swung himself up onto his beautiful strider. His muscled thighs gave him the push needed to get up onto Serenity, and the muscles underlying his arms from bicep to forearm rippled as he seated himself on the horse. It was extremely attractive. She hoped he didn't notice her staring, she felt like a bit of a voyeur. She quickly looked away, up, down, sideways, anywhere but him as he settled himself on Serenity. Cute.

She swallowed nervously, heart seeming to jump, as he rode closer to her. His ankle, his calf, his knee, his THIGH brushed against hers as he rode up to her. Her eyes automatically zeroed in on his lips and his tongue flicked out and licked them. She was so focused she almost didn't hear what he said. She snapped back into being when he murmured something. Feeling awkward as he looked at her, with an unnameable look on his face, she stammered a reply. "Uh, sorry Kayiri, I didn't really he--"

Her potentially rambling answer was suddenly interrupted, by a pair of soft moist lips pressing lightly against her own. Everything went black at the edges and all she could see was Kayiri's face, eyes closed, as he moved his lips against hers. As he kissed her.

HE KISSED HER!

Eda froze, not knowing what to do, not moving her lips, not knowing how, but so desperately wanting to return the kiss. Her mind was everywhere and nowhere, freaking out and yet completely focused on the absolutely AMAZING feeling of the kiss. Her first kiss. He kissed her! The thoughts ran round and round in her head, chasing their tails like dogs, not focusing, never stopping on one thing. She belatedly realised she had not responded at all, not in the slightest, not giving any indication that she had enjoyed it, when he pulled back after a couple seconds, which felt like an instant to Eda. She smiled back nervously, still too nervous to say something, running a tongue over her lips, tasting the residual sweet taste that was Kayiri. She smiled at him dumbly as he rode off.

She sat there, replaying the kiss and his smile hundreds of times over in her mind, mind working rapdily. Had he liked it? Why did he ride off so suddenly? Did he think she didn't like it? Petch. She loved it. What if he thought she hated it? Perhaps that's why he rode off so suddenly. A smile graced her lips, a small one, almost imperceptible, as she once again remembered she had been kissed. It was amazing.

Maliki tossed his head lightly, as if to rouse Eda to the fact Kayiri had ridden off and asked her if she was coming. She looked up to examine him, looking at the way he curiously cocked his head when he called out to her. Seeing him looking at her in that curious way, determination set in. Eda may have been awkward and bumbling half the time, but she did have her moments of true passion and conviction - this was one of them. Squeezing Maliki's flanks with her thighs, holding onto her yvas, she rode up to where Kayiri was, again reining in Maliki just beside Serenity. She twisted her body slightly, smiling at him comfortably - perhaps the most comfortable smile she had even given the handsome Kayiri. "Hello. I'm sorry. That was my first kiss. Shall we try again?" Without waiting for a response, she leaned forward and lightly pressed her lips to his, feeling instinctually right. She opened her lips slightly, bottom lip fitting in softly between the gap in his. Unthinking, her arms wound up around Kayiri's neck. She was kissing him. She was kissing him. And it was perfect.

A Date on Horses [Kayiri]

Postby Kayiri on March 2nd, 2011, 1:29 am

A soft laugh left his lips as he watched her reaction to the kiss, that little pause that she had. She simply remained stationary, situated right where he had left her, as if she had never processed what he had said to her. The kiss had obviously left her a little more debilitated than he had thought it would. Of course, her face, even at this distance, showed no emotion of happiness, just that dazed, stunned look. Wait until she saw what he had in store for her. Finally, her mind must have pieced together what have just occurred to her body, as she began to smile. When her horse tossed her head, that was her final callback to reality. A little movement set the horse off, and she began to close in on him, zooming towards him in a fast canter. When she closed in, he slowed down, still bearing a stupid grin himself. A little movement of his legs reigned Serenity into a halt next to Maliki and his beautiful young rider, at which point he placed his hands on his knees, tilting his head curiously at her.

After the kiss, the air she exuded had changed dramatically. It had changed into one of confidence and comfort, matched by the smile that she offered him in response to the stupid grin he put forth. He calmed himself, taming that raging smile into something more manageable and matching with hers. As she revealed that little bit of information, it made more sense to him. That would explain why she had been so stunned by the suddenness of it. It hadn't occurred to him that Edalene was so much younger than him that there was a fair chance she hadn't had her first kiss before him. The smile grew a bit as she revealed this, and as his lips were opening to let forth a witty response, she ambushed him. This time, it was him who was met unprepared. Unlike her, however, he was not a novice in these arts. As she pressed her lips against his, the warm breath of her nose pounded softly against his cheekbone. While her lips greeted his own, he did not neglect hers, kissing her bottom lip softly as she kissed his upper lip. Her arms, soon enough, found their way around his neck. Without a word, breaking the kiss for only a second, he brought his right leg up and over Serenity's back, bringing it down next to his left, so he was riding side-saddle.

Muscled arms snaked between her sides and her arms, filling the void that her arms left since they were around his neck. His lips, once more, locked with hers, but this time, it was not just the lips that found attention. Instead of taking one of her lips between his, his own lips parted ever so slightly, his tongue slipping ever so slightly between hers, just doing what felt right. One of his hands rubbed up and down her back, while the other found its way to the back of her head, running through her brown locks, twirling them around his fingers. A slight sigh managed to find its way into the kiss, his green eyes shut lightly as he got as close to her as he could, considering they were both mounted on horseback. His own legs played with the one leg on the side of the horse that was facing him. The horses, although beloved creatures, were getting in the way of the passionate kiss, but that did not keep the warrior from enjoying himself. While he was kissing Edalene, while he was playing with her hair, rubbing her back and sides like he was now, with her arms around his neck, pulling him as close as she could considering the obstacles, the strife and danger of the world around them just seemed to melt away. Hopefully, this sentimentality was not only in his mind.

A Date on Horses [Kayiri]

Eda smiled into the kiss as she felt him swivel his body around, so as to kiss her properly. He was riding side saddle. How domestic. She sighed slightly, and moved one of her legs in between his - a bold, bold move for her. She had expected to freak out, to have her typical Edalene freak out reaction, obsessing over every little nuance, freaking out that Kayiri would hate her after this - but she hadn't. What had surprised her was how calm she felt, how right this felt. It was easy, kissing him. It was perfect. She loved it.

Eda could not help but grin as he wrapped his arms around her waist. The feeling of his warm strong arms sent shivers down her spine, a shiver which came to rest in the bottom of her belly and sit there, butterflies. But not of nervousness. Eda moaned involuntarily when Kayiri slipped his tongue in between her lips. NOW she was nervous. She had never suspected it would go this far... nor that it would feel this good. She moaned as his tongue explored her mouth, and she tentatively raised hers to wrap around his. Her eyes screwed shut, almost a worried look on her face as she kissed him passionately. She hoped she was doing it right. A shudder ran through her body as his hand danced along her back and the other wound itself in her hair. It was nerve wracking to be sure, but felt splendid.

Of course, it was too much to suppose that Eda could go so long without having a typical Edalene reaction. she pulled back slightly, her face bright red and began to apologise profusely. "I am so sorry, Kayiri. I didn't expect it was going to go that far, I am so sorry. I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable." Blushing she looked down in between their bodies - then blushed even further as she realised she was staring at his thighs. Despite her apologies, her blushing face, and the fact that she had ended the kiss, she had not moved her arms from his neck. It was comforting, touching him. Though of course, if he had hated the kiss and never wanted to see her again - which seemed likely to Eda - she would let go and ride away. Petch. Eda sucked at life.

A Date on Horses [Kayiri]

Clearly, he was not the only one that could lose himself when passion and pleasure were involved. Even when he had expected her to shy away, she had instead met him with just as must dedication, just as much passion behind her movements. A mysterious woman indeed. He felt and heard her soft moans as he followed his instincts, meeting them with a little sigh of his own when she finally raised her tongue to accompany his. Her leg was soon between his, an opportunity that he seized by playing gently with her foot, his calves clutching tightly around her ankle. Eyes closed, he lost himself. All that mattered at that moment, to him, was her, and the kiss that they were sharing at that moment.

Then as quickly as it had begun, it was over. She pulled away from him, leaving him somewhat confused.

Such an odd girl, she could be. She would apologize when she had clearly done no harm, spewing words that bore no meaning when no infraction had been committed. As her apologies flew at frightening pace from her lips, all he could do was sit there, one hand buried in the small of her back, feeling the natural curve of her back, while the other lowered itself from her hair, coming to a rest silently on the back of her neck. Desperate to keep that contact, between them, he kept his forehead lightly pressed against hers, lips close to hers, nose not a centimeter away. "Why are you apologizing, Eda?" he asked ever so softly, "You do not apologize for what both enjoyed." As that last word rolled off his lip, he pulled his forehead away from hers, sending his head just past hers, so that his lips were directly next to her ear. "I'm not uncomfortable in the slightest. In fact, I find myself wanting more. It was unexpected, but the question is, if given the chance, would you do it again?" without a moment of hesitation, she found soft lips pressing against her cheek. He would not give her a chance to speak her answer, only a chance to show it. They trailed down her cheekbone, each one hovering for only a brief second before the next found its way to her. Finally, he lowered his head with each kiss, so it eventually brought his lips to hers.

Despite all of the testosterone coursing through him, all of his want for her, he wanted her to make this move. If she did not, then she was clearly uncomfortable, and in his lust, he had missed the hint that she had made an attempt to provide. Of course, if she was uncomfortable, why would she still hold him with her arms around his neck, still allow her to have his arms around her? The brave warrior had been reduced to worrying in a fashion that was more suited to the beautiful young women who sat in front of him. Silently, indecisively, he hovered before her, lips ever so slightly parted, eyes half-lidded blissfully, even as he felt a hint of nerves gnaw at his psyche.
