Sira cringed at the thought of rope burn and the various places it could get her in her current state, but still she decided it would be better to stay as she was. Besides, she could tell by the way Addy acted she was enjoying it, and wasn't that the entire point of going on a date in the first place, to have a good time. Sira watched as Addy tried and failed to climb the first time, then as she tried again with much more success. That is, until she decided to let go of the rope for some reason. In the split second it took Sira to react to the situation several things ran through Sira's mind. First was terror, followed by horror, followed by.. Wait, those two were the same thing. Actually not much went through Sira's mind at all as she reacted, rushing forward with her arms spread wide. In retrospect, it might have been a better idea to shift and let Addy have a nice feathery cushion to land on... But she didn't think of that. Instead she tried to catch the falling Avora. The sickening sound of Addy on stone that she thought she heard was actually Addy on Sira on stone.

Sira laid crumpled beneath Addy groaning for a bit and wondering if she managed to not break any bones. Eventually she stopped groaning and started speaking, more concerned about Addy than herself. "A.. Aidara? You okay?" Sira tried to move, shifting Addy off her as gently as possible, still more concerned about Addy than herself despite the sharp pain that suddenly shot through her ribs the moment she tried to move. Oh Sira, you better not have broken that. It would just ruin the whole day... Once Addy was safely deposited beside her, Sira tried to sit up and hissed in pain as she did so. Yeah, there was something definitely wrong with her ribs, though it still might just be a bruise. Mentally crossing her fingers Sira got to her hands and knees and tried to examine her fallen date.

Sira was clearly in pain, but if Addy even begun to try to move Sira pushed her back down, determined to check her over before allowing any kind of concern for herself. When she was satisfied that Addy was not dead or soon to be dead Sira finally succumbed to her own pain and sat back, grunting in pain but forcing a smile on her face and chucking slightly, eliciting another sound of pain. "Eheh... See.. I told you I'd catch you." It was then that Sira apparently decided it was time to flop back onto her back. A bruise was already forming where Addy's knee or elbow or whatever body part had impacted, though at first glance it didn't appear broken. The only sure way to tell though would require closer examination.

OOCI decided to steal being injured, sorry. ^^ I figure now is as good a time as any for Addy to show off her own special ability. I don't know if Addy can heal up broken bones, but bruises I'm sure she can handle. I'll leave it up to you though.

The ground was softer than Addy thought it would have been, though she was knocked breathless much as she had expected. Winded and suffering from an intense bout of vertigo due to her aerobatics, the small woman didn't move for many moments. She just lay there on her back, gasping for breath, staring at the sky as it swirled sickeningly above her.

It was due to this unrealistic spinning of the world that caused Addy's belated realization that she didn't know where Sira had gone. Had it been the Kevlic that had fallen numerous feet to splat on the harsh ground below, Addy would have been at her side in a second. Mustering up as much dignity as she could and preparing herself to be somewhat offended, the woman took a deep (painful) breath and hoisted herself up onto her elbow.

As she looked around for her missing date, Addy wondered idly why the ground was moving now, as well as the sky. It was then, only then, that she thought to look down. "OH MY GOD!" Feeling the fool, and any worry she had for herself falling away, Addy quickly rolled off of Sira, going to her knees next to the prone Kelvic, who then weakly joked at her somewhat successful rescue. "Sira! Are you alright? Holy petch, you tried to catch me. You foolish.." Watching the way Sira's chest struggled to rise and fall, and the way her face was contorted in a mask of pain. Something was wrong, and Aidara quickly went into healer mode without the other woman even having to ask.

Addy was aware that she had landed squarely on Sira's chest and all her vital organs. This was the first place she was going to check. All of the womans limbs were laying in the right direction, no disturbing twists hinting at a break visible. Her fingers were gentle, but firm as they pushed along her sides, feeling for any kind of inconsistency, listening for a reaction from Sira. At almost the same moment, Addy felt a hard protrusion and the swelling of the muscles around her fifth and sixth ribs as Sira gasped in pain. "Ahhh.. There is defiantly a broken rib there, maybe more than one."

This meant business. Rather upset with herself for effectively ruining the date, it took Addy a couple tries to be able to lock away all her emotions properly. Tendrils of embarrassment, worry and anger kept leaking out of the boxes she tried to shove them in. Aidara needed a clear mind to be able to sink into herself, and concentrate on her healing. That was the only downfall of the way Addy's power worked: If she wasn't able to clear her mind, she was effectively useless.

Finally, finally the Healer felt the warm blanket of calm was hover her. As the blanket settled, Addy's body instinctively went into a sitting position next to Sira's prostrate form, her eyes sliding close while her fingers stayed in contact with the injured part of Sira's ribcage. Not really needing to draw on her power yet, Addy simply sunk beneath the Kelvic's flesh, going deeper and deeper until she was past all the layers of skin and fat, faced with the womans ribs.
Image
It was odd. In her panic to fix Sira, Addy hadn't even considered the womans Kelvic heritage or the fact that she was, really, a bird. It took a moment of panic and worry for Addy to realize that what she was seeing was not some extreme injury, but just normality for Sira's bones. Bird bones looked far different from human. They were lighter, and less calcified. What was even weirder was Sira's bones retained some of their bird-like qualities even when she was in human form, with human shaped bones. It wasn't like Addy was looking at a picture of bones, but instead more of what one would see on an x-ray. Whatever description one wanted to use, the fact remained that Addy didn't see things clearly inside the body, and it took a lot of practice for her to be able to recognize the different bodily organs, parts, and bones.

So needless to say, while Aidara knew that she was in the right place for Sira's ribs, she was shocked at first, to see bones she didn't recognize. Time was of the essence, and the healer was quick to overcome this setback, quickly adapting what she knew of birds and their bones to the sight before her. It looked like the muscles around the fifth rib were badly bruised as well as slightly torn, while the sixth rib was broken. It was a clean brake, but Addy's spirits were dampened further. She couldn't mend a broken bone.

Since there was now only one option left for the healer, she turned her attention to the bruises. With her quick reaction, Addy was going to be able to stem the spread of the hematoma that was developing. The blood was pooling in the muscle tissue, the fibers of the muscle and connective tissue crushed and ruptured by the weight of Addy's falling body. From deep within her center, Addy picked at the spool of golden power that lingered there. It was quick to respond, which surprised the woman. Usually she had to caress her power into responding. Maybe she was getting better at this after all.

Deftly wielding her power, something the woman had been unable to say before this, Addy feed the golden strand through the muscle. Using it like stitches, Addy tried to re-inflate the damaged tissues, repairing the breaks in said tissue that was leaking the blood. But there was still the issue of the blood gathering under the womans skin. Unwilling to waste or burn this blood away, Addy instead turned her power thread into a sharp edge, quickly slicing a minor vein, and pushing the blood back into it. This vein was just as quickly closed back up with no harm done. Thinking back on this, Addy decided that was probably not the best way to go about it, but she had managed it without any further damage.

Since she had done everything that she could, and with one last look over her handiwork, Addy pulled herself from her healing reverie. Her eyes opened, and her emotions flooded forth from their boxes, overwhelming her mind for a moment until they settled back into their former places in her brain. A slow, deep sigh as the woman ran her hand over her face, and she looked down at Sira "I did what I could. You had bruised muscle and a broken rib. The broken rib I can do nothing about. I'm sorry...but I did manage to repair the bruise without any problems. I think I'm getting better at this." The last bit she repeated out loud to herself, having thought the same thing earlier. "No more climbing for you today, my dear. We're going to have to get you back and possibly in bed. You're going to be a bit sore for a week or two while the bone mends, and there isn't much you can do about it but move carefully."

Moving from a sitting to a kneeling position, Addy hovered over Sira, waiting for some kind of indication that she wanted to sit or stand, and then the healer was going to be there to assist her and ensure comfort.

To say Sira was in pain was an understatement. Te broken rib hurt, a lot, especially since she had tried to sit up before she was ready. That had only made matters worse, but what hurt most of all was the fact that this had probably ruined their entire day. In Sira's mind it was her fault, not Addy's, that things had gone so terribly. She could have reacted much better, shifting and giving Addy a nice, big, feathery cushion to land on, leaving Sira relatively unharmed. But she hadn't thought of that. Her plans for a romantic day hanging from the side of a mountain had been dashed, and she definitely wasn't going to be doing much else that day. While she didn't know the extent of the damage, she knew for sure she was going to be out for at least a day. Addy said something about trying to catch her which drew a pained laugh from Sira, "I promised I would catch you, didn't I?" Then the Avora noticed her condition and visibly changed, becoming instantly serious and concerned.

Within moments Addy confirmed what Sira had already suspected, there was indeed at least one broken rib. Addy went quiet after that, sinking into a strange calm, her hands still lightly touching the injured spot. Sira knew Aidara was a healer, but she didn't know the entire story. Until now she had always assumed Addy was just like any other healer, but as the calm settled over her and she accessed her power Sira found out the truth. She couldn't actually see the golden thread, but she sensed something the moment Addy accessed her gnosis. It was the same thing, to a much lesser extent, that she sensed any time she saw one of the gods that wandered about Wind reach on a regular basis. It was her Wind Eagle side telling her that Addy was special, something that Sira had already known but didn't know why.

Sira let out a sigh of relief as the pain in her ribs subsided somewhat. Sira nodded as Addy explained her rib was still broken, but that she had fixed everything else, and told her she needed to take it easy and maybe stay in bed. Mmmm... bed sounds good, she thought to herself as she struggled to rise into a sitting position, only making it with the assistance from Addy. "Well.. this blows," Sira said with an amused and annoyed tone, "My first broken bone and it happens on our first date. Good job, Sira." Anger was creeping into Sira's mind, not directed towards Addy but solely at herself. In her mind she had ruined everything, just like she knew she was going to do, and now all Addy would think of when she saw Sira was their disaster of a first date. Sira sighed, reaching out to Aidara for support as she tried to stand.

Once she was on her feet she muttered quietly, "Well.. let's get me to bed before I screw anything else up." Sira took a few uneasy steps forward, wincing with each step then stopped, letting out another sigh. "I don't even know if I can make it all the way home. Petch, Sira!" The last part was whispered, but Addy was likely still able to hear it since she was the only thing keeping Sira from falling down at the moment. Sira's aerie was clear on the other side of the mountain, a trek she wasn't in any condition to make unless she wanted to risk the broken bone puncturing something. Aidara's place was much closer, and though Sira didn't think of it herself, it would be much easier to get to Addy's bed than her own. The fact that that was exactly how she had been hoping to complete the date never really crossed her mind in her pained state.

OOCObviously we can't go back to Sira's place since the thread with Ronin is Addy's first time ever seeing it.

"Oh, don't blame yourself. Extreme physical sports, with me involved is just asking for trouble. Why do you think I learned to heal? I was sick of having to be carried to the infirmary." This, of course, was far from the truth but Addy hoped a cheery little lie would knock Sira out of her little glum slump.

"Now, lets get you ready for trans-por-tation..." Working as she spoke, the rope was tugged at a few times before Addy gave up. It would be there for whomever was next to climb the cliff, and she would but Sai a newer better-er rope. Everything else was condensed and neatly stowed back into their packs. Throwing one over each shoulder, their straps crisscrossing over her chest, the woman stooped a little under her ungangily burdens. "And no, you're not going to carry a pack so just keep your pretty mouth shut, kay?" A dimpled smile as Addy moved to Sira's side, wrapping a protective arm around her waist. She was very careful to avoid the bruised ribs, and really only had her arm lightly encircling the other woman- more for reassurance than any physical support. Sira knew she could lean on Addy if she needed too, so the healer wasn't going to make her feel like she had too. Some people just liked to act tough.

"My aerie is closer, so we will obviously be going there. It's closer to the kitchens and..well, like everything, so you won't have as far to walk. I'm sure Catabasis wouldn't mind letting you launch from his nest..." And she kept prattling on. By the way she spoke, one could deduce that Addy had long term plans for Sira being at her humble home. It was not impossible for Sira to rest and then hike back up to her own abode, but the thought hadn't even crossed her mind. In fact, Addy hadn't even processed anything that involved Sira being out of her sight, and she told Sira this. "Because," she continued, explaining her thought process. "I am your doctor now and I have to make sure you don't do something stupid and injure yourself further. Will shifting unsettle your bones? It would really suck to have them heal wrong, making re-breaking and resetting them necessary."

It continued like this for a while, Addy rattling off instructions and pieces of advice, explaining how Sai was in the morning and what their usual schedule was, and other little details that didn't really matter, but Addy felt like she should know. The walk was slow and careful, but in due time they arrived at the door to the Twin's Aerie.

"Welcome home!" With a flourish Addy whipped open the door and ushered Sira in. "You go make yourself comfortable in my bed and I'm going to go get some washcloths and such to clean the scrapes on your back, arms and legs." Without really even thinking, Addy stood up onto her tiptoes and pressed a soft, rather lingering kiss, to Sira's lips before turning and disappearing into the bathroom.

Sira accepted Addy's help in walking, though after a while she got used to the soreness and didn't need it as much, but she still enjoyed the feeling of Addy's arm around her so she didn't say anything. They were apparently heading back to Sai and Addy's place, a thought that was both appealing and a bit frightening to Sira. She wasn't worried about Catabasis. If he was like any other eagle, a simple explanation would be all that was needed for his forgiveness for what happened at the beach, but Sai was something wholly different. She had scorned the twin without even realizing it, and Sai didn't seem like the type to forgive and forget. Hopefully Addy's presence would keep the flight leader at bay, assuming she was even in at the moment. Addy asked something about Sira shifting to which she responded, "I'm not sure.. this is my first broken bone. I know my cuts and stuff transfer over though to pretty much the same place. They never get worse though."

ImageSira listened quietly as Addy explained all the intricate little details of how her house worked. Apparently she was going to be staying there a lot, a thought that certainly wasn't unappealing to Sira. Except for the Sairque part, but that could be worked around. Maybe she wasn't even mad anymore. Sira gratefully started heading for the bed but was stopped dead in her tracks by Addy's lips kissing hers. Sira closed her eyes, taking in every moment of that first kiss, not wanting to let it end but end it did as Addy finally turned and disappeared into the bathroom. It wasn't like Sira had never kissed anyone before, but this was Addy, and it was there first kiss... too bad it was under such circumstances. Although some might consider it kind of romantic. Sira shook her head and laughed a little, then turned and went into Addy's room. It was a bit smaller than Sira's own bedroom, but then again she had assumed Sai would occupy the master anyway, but it was much more beautifully decorated than Sira's had ever hoped to be. So much green, which Sira assumed was Addy's favorite color, and the bed did look rather comfy with all it's fluffy pillows just waiting for Sira to fall on. And fall on she did as Sira walked over to the circular bed, already conveniently undressed, and plopped down into the cozy embrace of pillows and blankets. Sira crawled further into the bed, burying herself beneath a pile of pillows, and fell into a half sleep almost instantly. When Aidara came in Sira did a sort of grumble moan type thing to acknowledge her and tried to roll over, knocking several of the pillows to the ground, and peered playfully at Addy from beneath the pillows that remained.

OOCFor the picture just imagine her buried under pillows.. and the bed is green. I tried to photoshop it but it just wasn't looking good. *shrug*

Addy didn't take long in the washroom. She simply wet down a few face cloths, rung them out so they weren't dripping, grabbed a dry cloth and marched back to her room. Sira's cuts weren't any sort of a problem, really, there was just no way the woman could ignore an injury. It wasn't any kind of finicky personality development. The mark that Rek'keli left on her arm ensured that Addy would succumb to physical and mental pain if she didn't tend to a wound of any kind. So, just to be safe... That is what she was doing.

"Well... Aren't you adorable." Since the cloths had been wet with warm water, Addy quickly crossed the common room before they chilled. She was leaning against her door frame now, watching as Sira burrowed into the pillows on her bed. She had knocked a few off the edge and the little twitch in Addy's eye at the thought of leaving them there resulted in a quick circling of the bed, retrieving the fallen few.

"It's a compliment you took to my bed so quickly" She smiled as she came to stop above where Sira's head was poking out from under all the covers and pillows, the rest of her body being obscured by such. Addy would have to either shift all of the material or have Sira move again to reach her scrapes. "I designed it myself, choosing every color and thread on it. Either you find it very irresistibly comfortable or I am just a wonderfully enticing decorator. Reaching down, Addy moved a strand of hair that clung to Sira's eyelashes. Her fingers brushed the pale skin of her forehead, and she couldn't help but smile, if a bit sadly. "I am sorry I caused your hurt. But it....warms my heart to think someone other than my sister is willing to literally throw themselves in harms way for me." As she spoke a dark blush crept up into her cheeks, highlighting the hollows of her throat and collarbones as it also descended into her chest. Sai wasn't the most vocal of her feelings, and with all of the womans short-lived relationships, she wasn't really left with anyone who she felt comfortable speaking like this too.

It was rather sad, if one realized it. Addy was terribly lonely. All she had, in the whole world, was her sister. That's all that really mattered between the two. It's a bond that no one else could understand, unless they were a twin themselves. Whoever was to be the lifelong partner of either of the women would have to realize that they, nor no one else, could ever replace one sister in the others heart. Addy was very aware of this fact, and out of fear of constant rejection and jealousy issues she made sure her relationships were naught but flings.

But now here she was, wanting to pour her heart out to Sira. Tell her exactly how she felt for her, what she wanted them to be one day... Addy bit her lip, and the blush deepened. How was she supposed to say all of this? They just met! It wasn't uncommon for the first date to end in Addy's bedroom at the end of the night but...."Alright, stick out your leg. Let's get these cuts cleaned and you tucked back into bed." Years of intense social interaction had taught Addy invaluable skills. Hiding her true feelings behind a dimpled smile, storing them for later, the healer crawled onto the bed. She was careful to keep the wet cloths from touching the bedding as she fished beneath the pillows for a leg. She caught one and drew it up into her lap, having Sira put her foot against her thigh so that her knee was bent; Addy needed access to the underside of her leg.

Carefully taking a wet cloth in hand, Addy bend her head and tended to the shallow scrapes. The idea was to make sure that all the dirt, grit and possible small pebbles were freed from the broken skin. Anything caught in the flesh when it began to knit back together would cause further irritation or infection. Technically, Addy could have easily sped up this healing process, but after diving deep to repair the muscles around Sira's injured ribs, and their climbing excursion, she was feeling drained.

"And the other." Her and opened in a beckoning motion, freeing the first leg from her gentle hold. When Sira placed her other leg for inspection, Addy repeated this routine before turning her attention to the rest of the Kelvics body. "This would make things so but easier if you weren't delicious and naked" she grumbled softly, getting to her knees. Pillows were removed and placed neatly to the side. The only thing that kept Addy's hands and intentions purely professional was the fact that she knew there were scrapes she had to mend. So, once she was exposed, Addy rolled Sira onto her stomach (though her hands did linger on her skin. It was very soft) and tended to the scraped along the backs of her arms, her shoulder blades and along the bottom of her spine, near the tailbone.

"There. That should all heal to as perfect as it was before." Pleased with herself, Addy sat back down onto the bed and tossed the cloths onto a nearby shelf. As the doubts and feelings she had pushed away earlier started to creep back in, Addy became uncharacteristically quiet, hugging a pillow to her chest. When she did finally speak, it was very soft.

"I.... don't do this. Well, Yes, I do this.. There was a gesture to the mussed bed before she continued "But it's nothing more than consummation of needs. I know this might be too fast to have this kind of conversation but... I can't help it. I like you Sira..more than I should. You make me want to pour out feelings that I didn't know I had, or had never shared with anyone other than my sister.... I.... Don't know what to do. I do know what we could do, what we should do or what we would both normally do if this were just another fling.... but I don't think this is a fling..... so I don't know what to do..."

And she fell off into silence, staring at the bed.

Sira may have squirmed and whined a bit throughout the entire cleaning process but it was all just playful fun. In truth she was thankful Addy was being so thorough. It was bad enough she had broken a rib, but to get an infection would just make things worse. Sira's sour mood had vanished with the kiss Aidara had given her, and the fact that the healer's hands were all over her only made things all the better. When Addy finally finished with her Sira crawled back under the pillows, trying to lure Addy into her game. But when the healer fell silent and did not pursue Sira finally realized something was up and the game ended. Sira carefully climbed out from under the pillows trying not to disturb them, she had not missed the fact that Aidara had already replaced the ones she knocked down earlier, then sat up grabbing a pillow for herself. Oh great, she wants to talk, was what Sira would have thought had it been any other situation, but this was Addy. Sira was just as curious as she to figure out their infatuation that was more than infatuation with one another. The drama at the beach had been serious, and since that day Sira had been replaying the morning over and over in her mind.

After Aidara finished Sira set her pillow aside, crawling across the bed and placing a hand gently atop Aidara's. "Addy.. I'm no better at this than you. But, if this were just a fling we wouldn't be having the conversation right now." Sira squeezed Addy's hand lightly, offering her a nervous smile. "I like you too.. A lot." Sira took a deep breath. She was going to have to be the strong one, so she figured she had better get to it. "Addy, I want more for us than just a night's pleasure. I could have anyone for that. But with you it is different. From the day I first met you there was something different about you. You made me nervous... But at the same time I was comfortable with you. I don't know if that makes any sense." Sira chuckled a bit before continuing. "I even let you see my weakness.. had your sister still been there I would have toughed it out, but there you were ready to hold me up when I shifted to much and almost fell." A smile came to her lips as Sira remembered the moment, then Sira patted her ribs and tried not to wince too much, "So you see, it was only fair that I caught you this time."

Sira was silent for a bit, thinking things over in her mind before finally speaking up again. "I don't know how I knew.. But I knew you were special.. that's what made me so nervous. I've always been afraid to let people get too close to me, and to be honest it still terrifies me. It's because I'm a kelvic. I don't know much about my kind but I know kelvics are supposed to have a master." The last word was spoken with obvious distaste, "I don't want a master. I will never call anyone master.. I can't. And that has kept me alone.. Well, emotionally anyway. But when I look at you I don't see a master. I am so afraid this isn't real, that it's just because I'm a kelvic. I wouldn't know how to tell the difference, but it has to be real because you feel it too."

Sira looked up into Addy's eyes, trying to read the emotions that played there. She was no good at that sort of thing, terrible when it came to the sappy stuff. But it was important they talk about it, she knew, otherwise both of them would spend the rest of their lives wondering what it all even meant or could have been. Sira waited for Addy, wanting to see what she would say next. Sira had more she needed to say, but she had gotten what counted most out and now it was Aidara's turn. The rest could wait until after.

OOCGeh.. I suck at these kind of posts.

Addy became increasingly quiet the more Sira spilled her heart out. All the fidgeting, the obsessive straightening of the pillows and blanket all stopped. Instead, Addy sat there with her hand on Sira's abdomen, almost protectively, as she listened.

It was amazing in the sense that everything that Sira said, Addy had felt or thought herself at one point or another. The healer was no good at sentimental moments either. She and Sai never used words to communicate their feelings, and intense emotions more often than not ended in a clash of fists. So, instead of staring deeply into Sira's eyes and crying in passion, leaping up and exclaiming her love, Addy became quiet. Furthermore, when she herself began to talk, her green eyes found anywhere to rest but on the Kelvic.

"I am not good at this." Her voice was only slightly above a whisper, but her tone was strong and sure. Addy could feel Sira's eyes on her, and this made the healer try even harder to avoid eye contact. "I don't prefer one night stands because I like being alone. I can cuddle, laugh, giggle, flirt, or whatever with the best of them, but I am not good with all the emotional stuff." Ironic, she thought, since that was the primary way she and her twin communicated over long distances. Terrible with emotional stuff with non-family members...Horrible at emotional stuff with anyone but Sai. she quietly amended.

"I like you, Sira. And I can't explain why. When I am laying in bed, thinking of what I am going to do that day..I think of us. When I think about Market Day and what I am going to get that week, I think about what we need. Which is completely and utterly foolish." Her voice became hard and brittle, as if she was getting angry at herself. "We have not known each other long enough to justify a "we", "us" mindset. It's just absolutely crazy. Frivolous and promiscuous I may be... but I'm not crazy. Addy raised her eyes to look at Sira now. She looked almost sad. "I am afraid you have ruined me for all others, Sira. It's nice to hear you feel the exact same thing I do, because that's hardly ever the case. More often than not, one lover is left pining after the other, less attached one. I don't feel like such an idiot now, but I am still rather angry at myself for falling so fast and quickly for you. I could have gotten myself hurt." Sai had taught her all about self preservation, and Addy took that seriously. Her flings were always on her terms, always initiated and broken off by her. This...thing... with Sira, was so far out of her control now that it made her slightly angry.

"I love you. I know I do, and that's what scares me. So what do we do now? We both know, as you said, that I am no master. I... Addy paused, wondering how to word what she wanted to say. They had never talked about her kelvic heritage before. Addy had walked in and disrupted that very conversation between Sira and her sister. "But we are obviously drawn to each other by some other force. Does this mean we...bond? I'm woefully ignorant about these kinds of things." Giving Sira a small, but dimpled, smile, Addy slid her hands up from where they rested on Sira's stomach to take hold of her hands. She gave them a squeeze. "Either way, no matter how fast this happened, I'm ready for this."

OOCIt's okay. I am good at mushy stuff, but Addy isn't.

Sira listened attentively as Aidara spoke, taking in each and every word and letting it sink into her mind. Addy was concerned about the speed in which they had fallen for one another, about what it was exactly that brought them together, about so many of the things which Sira herself had been worried about. And why was she so worried? Why did either of them worry so much? They both felt the same about each other, what was there to fear? Sira realized the answer was nothing. They were both just too afraid opening up to see it, but here they were clearly in love with one another. Why worry? When Addy finished Sira let out a little laugh, probably not the reaction Addy had expected, but it was immediately followed by a soft kiss on the lips that lingered for a few moments before Sira finally pulled away.

"I love you too, Addy." Sira reached out, stroking the healer's cheek softly, tracing her jaw line affectionately before letting her hand fall back down to her side. "I don't know why this is so hard for us. I guess we're both just too emotionally retarded so see a good thing when it smacks us in the face. All my life I have been afraid to let somebody close, afraid to bond, but I don't even have the slightest clue what bonding is! My father wasn't around to teach me anything like that so I just have to figure things out as I go along. If this, what we feel for each other, is what bonding is then I wish I had found you a long time ago. It's a little scary, but it's the best thing I've ever felt!" Sira leaned in again, nosing Addy's nose with her own, trying to get her to make eye contact. When she did Sira's eyes showed nothing but love and she kissed her again, this time a bit more passionately and more than once. Before they would get too into it Sira brought a finger up between their lips, grinning and pulling away. Her eyes were sparkling happily now, and what she said next had a hint of humor to it.

"Okay now," Sira said trying to sound like she had some serious stuff to say, "If we're going to be dating or living together or whatever we're going to do there's a couple things I should warn you about. Number one," Sira held up one finger, "I eat a lot. And I'm not talking about snacks.. I mean I have to eat a lot. And sometimes," her voice carried a hint of embarrassment, "Sometimes it has to be raw. ...and fresh. It depends on how much flying I have to do. It's kinda... Well, I usually don't let people watch, but if you're around me a lot your most likely going to see me eat while I'm and eagle. Even my big endal rations aren't enough if I have to shift and fly a lot." Embarrassing moment past, Sira held up a second finger.

"Number two. I wake up early. Like.. At dawn. I don't always get up that early.. But I almost always wake up. I can't help it. I think it's the bird in me. Don't worry though, I promise I won't start singing at sunrise or anything.. Wrong kind of bird. But if you wake up and find I've wandered off don't worry, I'll be back. I just have to get up and walk around a bit." Sira held up a third finger, "Number three. And this is the most important one. If you ever find yourself in the presence of a sexy handsome guy and you can't help yourself, you petching better share him with me!" The last part was said jokingly, though Sira was certainly not averse to sharing if it ever came up. "Other than that, I'm pretty easy to live with." Sira sat back, leaning precariously against the unstable pile of pillows, and her expression changed a bit as something else occurred to her. "My biggest worry now is Sai... she hates me, you know." Sira didn't want to kill the mood right after she had lightened it, but Sairque was a topic worth discussing. Hopefully Addy could shed some light on the subject, or at least tell Sira everything was going to be okay.

Telling Sira that she loved her had taken a lot out of Addy emotionally. It wasn't normal for the healer to let anyone close. Not that close. The only person that could boast to be loved by Aidara was her twin sister. And now Sira.

To hear Sira tell her that she loved her back... That knocked the wind out of the woman. She hadn't expected to hear it in return. In fact, for some reason, even after all they'd been through and the fact that their feelings for each other were completely transparent, Addy had been expecting to be rejected. How dumb were women sometimes, seriously? Mentally, Addy was running and jumping and singing and skipping with happiness; but physically the only thing she could do was sit there with a stupid smile on her face, staring at Sira. The other woman didn't seem to mind, however, and smiled right back as she began the warning phase.

She held up the first finger, and explained her eating habits. Addy couldn't help but laugh at this. "You realize that I eat more than a normal sized person, right? And that I've lived the majority of my adult life with my twin and her wind eagle? As proper as she seems, Sai isn't the only one that had the fun job of feeding Catabasis in the winter months." Reaching out, she placed a hand on his and smiled softly again. "I'm okay with it. Just don't puke up bones on the bed or anything and we'll be good." Motioning for Sira to continue, the woman held up her second finger.

"Ah...well, I'm not really much of a morning person. If I wake up and you're not there, I'm fine with that. If you come back at noon and I'm still asleep...Well yeah, that's what I do." She smiled "However, you can get me up early if you want. Just be warned that I might be a bit snarky." Well aware of her own personality traits, Addy said this with out any hint of embarrassment,
"At least that's what Sai tells me."

Sira's third finger made Addy laugh outright and she nodded with a smile "Deal. And the same goes for you." Sira then sat back in her chair, and Addy help up a hand. She had a small idea of what was coming next, and she wanted to say her part first.

"I'm neat. Very meticulously neat. Sai finds it irritating, because everything has it's spot and it belongs in it's spot when it isn't being used. I also don't like being dirty. It gives me the shivers. It's gross. I'll do the dirty work, if it is needed, but expect me to be in the baths for the rest of the day." Addy could see the anxious look on Sira's face, and decided that she should let the woman say her peace or she might explode.

"My biggest worry now is Sai... she hates me, you know." Figuring that was what the pained expression was all about, Addy nodded slowly in understanding. "She doesn't hate you, Sira. We have an odd relationship. For the longest time, we have only had each other. I'm the same way with her. When someone comes and interferes with her and I feel like they're trying to take her away from me, I get angry. And I try to stop it. But it doesn't always work. I wasn't able to stop Catabasis." There was definitely a sour note when she mentioned the wind eagle, "And she can't stop you. It will all work out, and I can't speak for her though I'd like too... It will all work out." Reaching out a hand with a smile, Addy clasped Sira's within her own. "I've never been happier."
