Welcome to the high seas lads and lasses, I am your Cap’n for the duration of your stay and this is our out of character thread. Here we can discuss anything going on about the Suvan Sea or you can request moderation from myself or my first mate Amaranthus. I look forward to writing with you all, and remember anything is possible, for on the sea the only thing that matters in the strength in your back and sweat on your brow.

I'm looking for reasons to do some good old adventuring, but with Malia being careful around water, caring for her weak body and all that ... nevertheless I'm keeping an eye on what you're doing with this place. ;)

I got a question regarding these captains, do we have to be in the service of one of them? Or can we have a different captain thats made by us? Just wondering if I have to change my guy's backstory.

When it comes to being on a pirate vessel you can't control any of the NPCs without Mod or HD permission. That goes for creating a ship as well. For now we are going to post up the major captains, the cream of the crop if you will and have people join their crews.

Your welcome to say you served on a ship in your history, and that is how you achieved your current level of skill, and could even start in breached hull haven by that route. You can't just create a whole crew of NPCs however and take command of a ship. It isnt fair to the other players, and it likely won't fit with the current atmosphere of the region.

NPCs are a delecate matter that are carefully constructed for the enjoyment of all. For now, I would say you need to start as a new mate out to try and join a crew. If you can give us till the end of the week, many more locations will be up.

Question about the Codex: Weren't agreements such as these normally created on a ship by ship basis? I would think that different crews might agree on different degrees of punishments and different loot allotments depending on their personal preferences.

Also, I'm gonna be playing around in here :D
