I had a hard time thinking of just what Kiara would be scared of. But then it hit me.

-Finding something that doesn't die when she stabs it.
-Being haunted by a ghost.

She has a few fears... Quite a lot of them actually, but being the temperamental person that she is she wouldn't admit it to anyone but herself. The greater ones include;

- Loneliness. Both mental and physical; being raised in such a tight-knit community as Wind Reach she has rarely spent any time completely on her own. While she does claim that she dislikes people, she still can't imagine being separated from them.

- Pain. Again, both mental and physical. She has learned to handle the physical fear because it was necessary, but the small control she has often tends to backfire and causes her to just blindly charge forward without thinking - which in itself is a good way of getting more injuries. As for psychological pain, she isn't as willing to expose herself to it. She defends her innermost thoughts and feelings from everyone with both temper and a shield of perceived confidence, just so that no one will be able to get in and shatter the small amount of strength she has.

As for minor fears, they vary between;
- darkness
- failing in the eyes of her people
- having to accept her heritage (being a halfblood Chactawe)
- ending up as Dek
and several others. I think she's quite human, and more often than not she reacts because of either curiosity or fear...

He is..tricky. I've just made him and haven't had an opportunity to delve into his mind yet. So far though, I think the things that frighten him the most are:

- Being helpless. To not be able to affect the things that happens to him.
- Boredom. If he doesn't have anything to do he will begin to do strange things and the creepy-crawly things at the back of his mind are given time to play. Which leads me to believe that he is also afraid of
- His own mind. He is unstable and he knows it, and while he rarely feels deeper connections to anyone, he does care to some extent. The idea of causing pain where he hadn't intended to is enough to give him nightmares.

Dogs. Any kind of dogs, well alright not like really little lapdogs but anything that's mid-calve or taller on her she won't go near. This does include wolves, the sound of a wolf's howl sends shivers down her spine.

Being stuck somewhere for too long - She hates staying still for too long, it drives her absolutely mad, this goes double if it's somewhere enclosed. If you made her stay in Syliras for more than a day or so she'd start getting twitchy, give her a week there and she'd be trying to find a way to dig through the walls/floor/ceiling to get out of there.

Losing people - Tessa doesn't have many people she's actually close with, part of the whole always moving thing and the next item on this list. To lose someone who actually really got to know her would pretty much destroy her.

People - Not so much a fear, but she gets really, really nervous around new people and finds it hard to do anything but babble innanely at them.

Wasting Sickness - The thought of dying the same way her Mother did is... really not a pleasant one for Tessa, for one it's all bound up in memories of her mother's death and for two it'd mean she couldn't travel anymore. She'd rather slit her own throat than die that way.

My character is still discovering his fears. But the really funny thing I've discovered about him is that he is already insane, but that is what he is afraid of most. He has no idea that he's insane either. So it really makes him fun to write.

My character also has a saying, "I'm afraid of many things, ______ is not one of them." The blank is usually filled by whatever someone asks him if he is afraid of. Honestly, I don't think he really knows all of his fears yet. It will be a lot of fun for me to find out!
