[Wind Reach OOC] Touching The Sky II

Well, thus far you're the only one that has shown any kind of interest!

So here is what I am going to do. I am going to get my office back up and running and I am going to put a sort of Quest to-do list on there. I think I can handle running three quests at a time and it'll be first come first serve, with a sign up form and everything that can be posted in my office.

How does that sound? I'm very open when I do modded threads, taking in what the PC wants as well as my own ideas into account. As long as they are reasonable, of course.

I'm not sure if you honed down an Idea for a quest yet but you could have something like....

Maybe a sickness descends on the mountain. I mean it's isolated so it'd be hard to get medicine in and isolation in close quarters breeds disease. That could be an interesting one for any healers. Maybe while the birds are sick a merchant takes advantage and steals one of the eggs (his thinking along the lines of, if I can make so much money on normal sized birds trained by the Inarta think how much I could make with a giant eagle!)

Or, you could have a sickness come over the people but because they're too isolated they can't get medicine and the Eagles have to go to another city to get help (that way you could have people from Wind Reach and others from another city interact when they usually wouldn't).

Anyway, I think those could be some interesting threads?

Hey guys... I feel really bad because I pretty much abandoned this place. I have hardly been on since November. I really want to get back into the swing of things, though. If anyone wants to do a thread with me, shoot me a pm, and for now I think I will just stalk the threads a little and do some solo things. Wind Reach doesn't seem entirely active at the moment, but since Winter is my favorite season, I really want to do some writing here. Snowball fight, anyone? >:D

Welcome back, Krys. And welcome Leigh!!

Don't let the inactivity scare you off. First of all, winter is nortioiously slow. Secondly, we have a buch of Inartans out there that haven't made their footprint on WR yet. It's tough being a new player and jumping into a somewhat silent city. It can be downright terrifying. Those who are shy and waiting in the wings just need a little persuasion to get going and shine

So post, post, post! Make an open thread. If no one joins, then just turn it into a solo! You can't go wrong

I'm working on some cool things that just need a it more fleshing out. So keep bein patient, my gingers! Also, thanks for the input, Leigh! I'll get back to you on that!

Sounds Awesome Pheonix. It's actually kind of nice in the silenter cities gives someone new a chance to look around without things changing too quickly.

I would really like to do a thread with my character. I have an idea later on in her life but gotta get her there first. I would like to do a thread on a moral dilemma about death. Na'Leigh is terrified of death and of people dying around her. She'll do anything to protect someone even if it means saving a criminal or risking everyone around her to save that one person.

When is it right to kill someone?
Beliefs about Death?
Ect.

Anyone interested in a thread around this Idea give me a ping!

It's true guys. We haven't forgotten about you. In fact we've had some AMAZING things in the works. Wind Reach is lucky in that it gets to test drive a ton of new concepts for the game and we can claim a lot of innovation that other domains then adapt.

And we've got a doozer coming up shortly. I think easily by friday we'll have something to blow your socks off that will encourage interaction and community building all the while by combining it with our collective love of writing.

I can't wait to tell you all. I hope you'll be as excited about it as I am.

It strikes me that our Mod Request Thread is empty as well as our offices. Feel free to make some requests and fill them up with threads needing to be graded.

Yes! I am accepting modded thread requests, should anyone decide they want one.

If you're new and nervous about getting into the swing of things, a modded thread is a great idea! If you're looking for something special, modded threads are perfect. Just drop a little note in my office or in the modded thread request thread! It's fun, I promise. One of our new baby gingers, Na'Leigh, is actually participating in one right now, and it's gonna be a blast. Don't be shy, people.

While you're at it, though, you guys should definitely take a look at the Community Development page. If Wind Reach doesn't have something you need, such as an NPC or creature, you can CREATE IT!! Of course, there are some guidelines and an approval process, but it's a great way to give yourself a jumpstart by contributing to the community. If you want your PC to develop a particular skill that has to be learned, create the NPC, we'll approve it, and then you can use it to your heart's desire (within reason)!

We've got sooo much planned for your guys coming up really soon. Get excited; I know I am!

Hi Kaya!

You should have gotten a pm from one of WR's mods by now. Hopefully they were cheerful! You need to get your status approved if your an Avora or Endal and if indeed you start as an Endal you need Wind Eagle approvals. Otherwise, you should just feel free to wade right in. I suggest posting an open thread or two. Folks will jump right in.
