[Nyka OOC] Eat Pray Fight

Added The Sharp Tongue Pub, The Flaxen District, and The Lovers' Bridge.

On the 44th of Winter, the city of Nyka will be celebrating one of its quarterly festivals in honor of is patron Alvina. This season, a stone search competition in the outlands will be held in honor on Xannos. Save the date and I'll keep you posted here. :)

The Winter Festival is up. You don't have to enter the competition to participate, but you must do so to be eligible for the monetary prize.

I'll post again after a week, next Wednesday. If you need more time to post and would still like to participate, PM me and I'll gladly work something out for you. :)

Have all the monks completed their trials?

Ezra was down in the Aperture for a while so it's entirely possible that you may have met him down there. Just a thought if anyone needed some extra excitement for there trial.

There's monsters to play with and a crazy old man living down there (until 511)...what more could you ask for?

Also, hope people start showing up to the Festival, it's gonna be good I can tell.

And I've been having a spot of trouble in thinking of what to do for his Aperture trial, so if it is indeed an offer I accept! I have to wrap up the solo thread where Jett is doing the first couple of trials.

Hi folks. Just wanted to let everyone know I'm back to posting. Sorry for the massive delays. I got rather sick, had a ton of snow, then got buried in work from the aftermath of both things. I should be caught up by the next few days and I don't foresee (hopefully!) another absence like that again. Again, my apologies!

I haven't forgotten about the event, but I've been asked to wait another day or two for some final participants. Hopefully I'll keep this event active and entertaining for everyone involved!

I'm mulling over the idea of a fighting tournament on Spring 44, in honor of Uphis's Spring Festival. I know it seems really close to the current plot, but I wanted to give a good amount of time to prepare.

The philosophy granted to the monks' Selection Test would apply: the better fighter would win, not necessarily the one who ultimately pins his opponent. This would allow for the combat threads to be evaluated by anonymous OOC judges for adherence to points and rules as well as overall writing quality and strategy. In essence, the writing would be honored above the points.

It's a tournament style I've used on other sites, but I can understand why some might not appreciate it. If you would, give me your thoughts, and let me know if you think your character would participate. I would need around 8 players for it to work. Foreigners would also be welcome.

I really like the idea Liar

I enjoyed writing Kassan's fight in his initiation, so I'd be more than happy to do more of the same - with a 'quest' like feel to boot.
