Just after the eyes burst open, Clydes did to, as he heard Lazarin speaking once more.
"Well, all of the mineral powders have been absorbed. Now you can take the wire off of the staff, it is only needed for this part of the process. Then you put it in the special water to cool down. You can do that stuff on your own."Having said that, Lazarin abruptly walked off, taking out a blank book, and beginning to record something in it. Though Clyde had no idea what.
But he ignored this, and moved on, going to the staff and carefully unwinding the long length of wire which was wrapped around it. This however required him to put on some thick gloves, as it seemed that in the process of magic going through them, they got heated up, and were very hot. And the fact that he was wearing these thick gloves slowed him down even more, making it take even longer to get the wire off of the staff.
But eventually he did, and had the length of wire laying unwound before him, and the shiny bare surface of the staff before him, which had last he saw it been covered in mineral powder...
Then all there was to it was to undo each end of the clamps, and take out the staff. holding it for a moment, he looked it over. It looked more or less how it did when they started, but this close, he could feel the energy bubbling inside from there magecrafting enchantments...
But now they were done, so he walked over to the tub full of charged water, and dropped in the staff. As he did, the surface began to bubble and froth, as if something hot had been dropped in. This died down after chime or so, and came to a slow bubble, as the water cooled the staff.
Now they were done, all that was left really was to wait for the object to finish cooling, and then take it out. And since Lazarin was busy with writing in his book, and Clyde had nothing else to do... He called it quits, and headed out for the day... He would pop in tommorrow to check on it, and take it out of the tub, and to put it were it went. But for now, he was done, and ready to fill his rumbling belly, and get some sleep... They had been at it for bells, and most of the day was already spent... He had not realized they had spent the whole day until now, when his concentration was off of his work... Time to rest.
