right well I hope this is the right place...

I must confess I find myself without anyone to roleplay with, not unexpected but unwelcome for sure ... so is anyone willing to do a thread with me? please?

I'll thread with you! I'll send you a PM in a bit and we can come up with some ideas. A word of warning though, I don't know if I can keep up with your task-master pace that you mentioned in your intro thread. I have 5 PCs and am a DS, so my plate is rather full.

Hey everyones!

Just a heads-up in case my posting gets a bit slow over the next 5-6 days: My mother is visiting and so I am spending most of my time with her.

I will try my best to get to everything that needs to be done in a timely manner!

Thanks for your patience and continue to be awesome, Gingers!

-Phoenix.

Hi my name is Vaas,

I wanted to introduce myself all of you in Wind Reach, so hi. I really don't have much experience in forum role plays, so bear with me if I make mistakes. Actually, most of my experience was role playing in AD&D and back on AOL in the late 90s in the Red Dragon Inn Chat Room, but when I looked up role playing forums I kind of fell in love with the world of Mizahar. It was either Sunberth or Wind Reach, and I chose Wind Reach because of the Inarta culture. I am laughing at myself for putting a blind character on top of a mountain knowing my luck he'll end up falling off it someday. Anyways I hope to role play with you soon once I figure out how to post.

One question,

Is it hard to advance your PC skills being a part of caste Dek? For example, will I be able to learn how to use a sword or is that not aloud as a Dek? When I made my character I was confused on the general education all Inarta regardless of their caste, and will they train disabled children differently than normal children, or are they just cast out of Inarta society? I just trying to figure this out. Before I start writing.

Hello, Everyone!

I wish I could say that my midterms are over, but my classes have it set up so I pretty much have an exam every week. :( I am struggling in a few of my classes, hence my unfortunate absence.

However, I'm just wanting to keep you all updated. I'm setting aside some time this weekend to get everything done that everyone has been waiting on, especially the Request thread. ( I am so sorry to those of you who have been waiting for grades )

Secondly... Welcome all you new Inartans!! It is so great to have you in the city!! Please feel free to send me a PM with any questions, concerns or ideas that you have. I have been making a great effort to at least respond to PM's straight away.

Vaas- Dude! Red Dragon Inn?!!?!?1 THATS WHERE I STARTED!!! Rhy'din!? I have never met another old- AOL - Chatroom- Rhy'din player before!!!! That's awesome.

As for your question, it's not necessarily hard to advance skills as a Dek. There is a location in the Link Map, the Bronaugh Den, for instance where your Dek could go hide and practice things that a Dek normally wouldn't. However, you have to think about it like this: Most Inartans in the Dek caste or somehow malformed, disfigured, mentally handicapped etc etc... Most wouldn't be physically able to swing a sword. So you want to keep that kind of stuff in mind. Does that answer your question?

looking for a neat little thread?
want to take a shot and see how the new kid types?

take a poke at my thread!

I'm hoping that someone might be able to help me, in my thread I'm hoping to work on Gotten's hawking skills, and I need someone either to play the role of Val the gatekeeper, in teaching me, or if anyone wanted to use their own character to pour out their hard earned wisdom on this poor unknowing man, that would be great too! plus they say the best way to learn is to teach what you know, so it might be a chance for you to gain some growth in your own hawking skills too! maybe, if the mods think it has merit.

anyway, that's my request, if you want to jump in, let me know, either in pm, or just jump in! I don't mind a chance to expand my skills in writing by not knowing the exact ending to a thread, life is spice after all.

thanks,
Mike

Phoenix that is awesome that you started at the Red Dragon Inn on AOL. I always laughed at it because it was the Inn with 50 dark corners and I away sat in the center of the room just to spite the corner dwellers, and everyone was either a vampire, demon, angel, or my favorite a combination of the all three.
