A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

Acting Up

Timestamp: 15th of Summer, 512 AV
Location: Somewhere on the Docks

Marcus was on his way to the docks. An old buddy of his had recently contacted him, asking him if he was interested in putting on a little show. Before he joined the Black Sun, Marcus and his friends had often put on little performances in the various plazas, and Marcus had once even played a role in an actual play. He wasn't an actor, though, but an impersonator. Not a lot of people knew the difference, but Marcus did. Impersonation meant becoming someone else, whereas acting meant putting on an entertaining show. That wasn't to say that Marcus didn't have a sense of humor, he just had focused more on realism than entertainment.

Marcus was used to living a fairly expensive lifestyle. His family was not the richest in Ravok, but they were not unwealthy, and Marcus was used to a certain state of living. Currently, he was not living in that state, and he could barely afford the lifestyle he already had on just his Black Sun salary. Marcus needed extra cash, and so when Ryek sent him a letter talking about putting on a show, Marcus jumped at the chance.

So it was that Marcus found himself wandering the docks looking for the address he had been given. Ryek apparently owned a small warehouse, and that was where he was intending to practice. Unfortunately, all the warehouses looked the same, and so Marcus wandered around searching for some time before he finally came across the building with the proper numbers displayed on the outside.

"Finally," he muttered as he approached the large door, pushing it open. Inside he heard chatter and laughter from a small group of people, though all went quiet when he entered and four heads turned his way. Three of the people Marcus did not recognize, but one of them was his old friend Ryek.

"Marcus," Ryek shouted jubilantly, "So good to see you again. Come in, come in!"
