“Ahh, because their wedding didn’t happen on this day, but my birth certainly did.” Jaeden said to Sam, pausing as he lifted his cup slightly.
“Well, twenty-six summers ago it did.”Jaeden then looked towards Fade, quirking a brow as his head tilted slightly, looking over the length of her body for a moment.
“Acrobat and contortionist.” Jaeden replied to her before his chin fell to a rest within his hand.
“That would make you quite flexible and agile. It brings the mind to be curious about certain things.”Jaeden then looked to Alistair, a slow shake of his head given as he slowly stood up, circling around the group. A slow wag of his finger was given to Alistair.
“No, no. No, no, no.” Jaeden said as his hands fell along Alistair’s shoulders and sat him down into his seat.
“There will be no short appearances on this event. I do, on this evening, plan for all of us to wake not fully remembering the events of this night. If we’re really lucky, there will be unexplained articles of clothing lying around.”Jaeden then motioned a waitress over, whispering into her ear for a moment. She soon came back, a tray full of mugs in hand. One mug was then laid down in front of each guest before three gallons were laid out along the corner of the table where Jaeden sat. Finally, a small empty glass was set at the center of the table. Jaeden then began moving around the table as he laid out a silver mizas in front of each person.
“To this end, I propose a little game.” Jaeden suggested.
“The rules are simple. You bounce your silver coin along the table’s surface towards the cup, attempting to make that coin land in the cup. You miss, you take a drink of ale. You make it in, you can order someone else to take a drink of ale instead.”A fun loving smirk appeared on Jaeden’s face then as he laid a silver mizas in front of his own seating spot, before grabbing one of the gallon jugs of ale. He once again then began making his way around the table, filling everyone’s mug almost to the brim with the alcoholic beverage.
“Verbal distractions are okay, but not any physical or magical ones. No blocking shots.” Jaeden then finally added before filling his own mug and sitting down.
“I’ll start things off, then we’ll go around the table from my right.”Jaeden then held up his coin, looking to his right, noting Ha’na, Alistair, Fade, Jaq and finally Sam rounding the table. Already three ales in, Jaeden’s coordination and dexterity was at a disadvantage, but it wasn’t all about winning and loosing to him in the end. His hand dropped, releasing the coin as it bounced along the surface of the table, clinking along the rim of the glass as it seemed to flip further into the air. Finally, it hit the other side of the rim before falling outside and along the surface of the table proper.
“Well, nucking futs.” Jaeden said before reaching out to his mug and taking a large drink from it. He slowly wiped his mouth clean then gave a relieved exhale.
“Next!”
