Sorry for the crackling noise.

School just started and it's already killing me. I'll try to reply as quickly as possible, but I may be slow.

ahahahahahahahahahahaha Paul. You are so cute.

Thread would be made out of cat guts, btw, not the fur.

Did... she ride off on a rainbow whore? You're not supposed to be talking about such things!

I was trying to say horse, but I mean...whore and horse are interchangeable in this context.

Right?

[Aidara's Scrapbook] It's Real For Us

Call To Arms

I don't know why it always takes me so long to realize this, but when I stop reading for extended periods of time, I find it extremely hard to find my words while writing or even speaking, my post quality goes down sharply and... well, I find myself not wanting to write in general. Which is a shame, because then all my ideas build up in my head and I just go crazy.

That's what has been happening recently. I've been a busy little bee and my characters are greatly greatly suffering. I need to find new goals for most of them, but that's for another time...

Right now, I'm looking for Suggestions. I need books. I hate going into a bookstore and just randomly perusing because it's gotten to the point where I keep picking up the same books that I've time and time again put back on the shelf... because I'm a cover-judger. I look at the cover and see a pretty dragon and go "Ooooooh..." and thats NOT how I want to do it.

So I'm going to try and do something a little differently! And ask everyone else!

I'm not looking for anything heavy like... War and Peace. Fun Fiction/Fantasy/Sifi/Etc works for me.

I have a few suggestions from a few people but I easily forget.. I know I have one that Luke suggested a while ago that is sitting on my Kindle waiting.. but I need MORE!

You simply must read Ready Player One by Ernest Cline and The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. These were two of my favorite books from 2011 and they both just came out in paperback, if you still read books in that format.

I've been on a bit of a sci fi kick lately (see: started reading sci fi again since about the ninth grade). Clarke is great, read 2001 and Rendezvous with Rama, as well as bits and pieces from a huge book of collected short stories of his that my friend let me borrow for the afternoon. I plan on buying the rest of the Rama series once I can.

I'm currently just over halfway through Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card, and I can't seem to put it down between work and writing.

I see all three books on Persona's flow chart, so my taste can't be all that bad.

Well, I'm always going to recommend anything by Pratchett or Gaiman, just 'cause. But if you're looking for something lighter, just some generic fantasy stuff, I'd suggest perhaps Trudi Canavan or Garth Nix's Abhorsen trilogy. Robin Hobb has some somewhat heftier titles, but rich settings. If anything else comes to mind I'll drop it here.

Good luck with the book search.
