Cliche is defined by individuals. Just because one reader has read a million books about characters with amnesia does not mean the same concept is cliche to a reader who has not.
Really cliche means bored. New players don't find certain concepts boring because they are just that, new, they haven't had time to get sick of certain quirks that they ask for. Especially our younger members.
I do not believe that "normal" character will become cliche, though, because even within the normal sphere immense variation is possible. I believe what people truly with new players would avoid is blaring character defining quirks. They want you to start as a well rounded character with a tame personality and then grow into a defined character over time as you get your baring on the site.
Anyone who does this will know, and understand, that blood sucking nocturnals don't really have a place on Mizahar. Or, that we have certain mental diseases coming out of the woodwork around here.
Seriously though, papa, my grades have been in the queue for like EVER! Come on!
