[Job Thread-Rearing Stallion] Service with a smile

Postby Shiress on February 28th, 2013, 6:44 pm

As the beautiful red head began her introductions, Shiress turned and made her way to the far side of the bar. She filled a tall thin glass with deep red wine then turned and made her way back to the chatting patrons. She gently placed the glass in front of the woman. "Azzy, is it?" She asked, having over heard a bit of their conversation. She leaned in a bit as a sly grin creased her lips. "Compliments of the gentleman." She said, nodding in Kayle's direction.

She turned her back and stepped toward Kayle. "Good choice, Kayle" She said with a wink and smile. "I'll leave you two to your conversation then." She glanced over her shoulder to Azzy. " Let me know if anything else is needed."

[Job Thread-Rearing Stallion] Service with a smile

Postby Xarl on February 28th, 2013, 10:10 pm

OOC: Don't suppose anyone minds if I joins? It does say open after all.

Xarl had been coming back to the Rearing Stallion more and more often, not surprising considering that he tended the bar every other night. Most often he came back here for something other than the money this job afforded him, information. Sometimes it was easier to gain more information as a patron than it was as a bartender, although he rarely came this early.

As the tall dark haired man strode into his familiar domain he immediately noticed something, or rather someone. Sitting not to far away with a pretty red headed woman, was a man he remembered from a few weeks back. Kayle, the friendly, slightly naive man he'd met at the Herald's Arm, the one who'd told him of the plague in Zeltiva.

Interesting, Xarl thought, quickly manuvering himself out of Kayle's line of sight and to a lone table not to far from him and the unknown woman.

He nearly chuckled as he sat down, it seemed just like last time, when he'd been observing Kayle at the Herald's Arm. Hopefully he hadn't noticed him, Xarl had no desire to interupt his conversation with the red head. The scrawny man felt an amused smile playing at his lips as he observed Kayle, just like old times.

Xarl quickly glanced around the tavern and noticed an unfamiliar face manning the bar, another attractive woman. He'd never seen her before today, which either meant she was new or that she worked only a few days. Perhaps, after his observations were complete, he would inquire about this, they were technically co-workers after all. Returning his gaze to Kayle and his companion Xarl steepled his fingers out before him and looked at the man sitting not to far away.

[Job Thread-Rearing Stallion] Service with a smile

Postby Shiress on February 28th, 2013, 10:53 pm

Shiress watched as the tall, dark haired and rather thin man scanned the tavern as he came through the door. His eyes locked directly on Kayle as he moved to a table and took a seat. Shiress glanced toward the new patron and then back to Kayle. "There has to be history there." She thought to herself while lifting an eyebrow. She placed her cloth on the bar and made her way to his table.

She watched the mans expression play between thoughts as she moved up to his side. She placed a smile on her face as she began to speak "Hello, Sir. Im Shiress, what can I get for ya?"

[Job Thread-Rearing Stallion] Service with a smile

Postby Xarl on February 28th, 2013, 11:44 pm

Xarl looked up to the woman who had just addressed him, a charming smile quickly fixed upon his face. He should have expected to be noticed by her quickly, considering the the lack of patrons.

"Ah hello my dear, yes I would like a glass of water." He answered smoothly, locking eyes with the woman.

"I don't think I've seen you here before when I tend the bar. Are you perchance new?" Xarl inquired, holding her gaze easily.

As his mistress had always told him, eye contact was crucial in gaining a person's trust. It showed that he had nothing to hide, that he was open and honest. This was of course untrue, Xarl had many things to hide and he was anything but honest. Everything he did was to get something, whether it was information, money, or power over another man.

Years of training had given him the ability to feign most any expression well, and when false courtesies and a friendly attitude got him no where he could always fall back on his ace in the hole.

However he doubted he would be needing that today, not here, not with this woman at least. Besides, Kayle knew what he was, even if the young man was a little naive it was too dangerous to do anything with him so near.

[Job Thread-Rearing Stallion] Service with a smile

Postby Azcadelia on March 2nd, 2013, 6:49 pm

Azcadelia was delighted when the red wine was set down in front of her. Of course, she wouldn't show it. She smiled humbly and said: "Thank you, Kayle. How gentleman like of you." Her voice teased and she giggled quietly. "And yes, you can call me Azzy," she said, reassuring Shiress'.

Having had gotten her free drink she was sure enough going to head out, kiss Kayle on the cheek in feigned appreciation, thank the barmaid and go lounge about her small apartment. But, just when she going to sip her wine another patron came into the bar. With her head turned towards Kayle, smiling, she looked out the side of her jade orbs to catch a glimpse of the man.

Azcadelia couldn't judge the man's looks since she was not able to clearly see him. Just an outline of his figure and mannerism. Was it another unimpressive soul?

[Job Thread-Rearing Stallion] Service with a smile

Postby Shiress on March 5th, 2013, 3:04 pm

Shiress stood with her hip leaned against the table. Her green eyes studying the strangers grey as he spoke. "I am new, yes, to The Rearing Stallion." She answered with a polite smile. "Although, I have been in Syliras for most of the season, I have only started to tend the bar. I trust you'll find my services...acceptable." She gave the stranger a quick wink before turning and heading back to the bar.

She came up behind Azzy and pressed her lips against her silky red hair and whispered in passing "If you wish, Azzy, stay around and I may score you another free drink within the bell." She gave the red head a sly smirk and stepped behind the bar and quickly filled a mug with the ordered water and moved back toward the table. As Shiress stepped across the tavern her eyes slid from the man at the table and followed the direction of his sight. The stranger still had is gaze locked in the direction of Kayle.

Shiress stepped up to the table again, placing the water in front of the man then leaned down close to his ear. "I do trust there will be no trouble in the tavern today."She said in a low, monotonous tone as she glanced over her shoulder in Kayle's direction then back to the grey eyes of the stranger. "In here, you have only friends, but Im sure you have learned this by your own time behind the bar." She pressed a smile against her lips and turned back toward the bar.
