Heads were turning throughout the entire Stallion, the table in the corner know was a powder keg on the verge of explosion. Azcadelia kept cool as both Perc and Lucy, who had thought was kind, leaped at her throat figuratively speaking. However the way Fallon reacted was different from the two, unlike them she was calm and collected. Azcadelia sensing if she said the wrong word began to draw upon the Djed within her, willing to duel her way to safety. First she'd try a diplomatic approach.
"Perc and Lucy, please calm down. There is no true reason to be jumping to conclusions. You assume that I wish to hurt Fallon when in truth, I do not. I was simply stating a fact, that if I did have the intent to hurt Fallon I would have by now. If I wasn't here for friendly purposes why on earth would I hesitate, why would I trap myself in a tavern with squires and the Syliras Knights patrolling outside. I would surely be dead if I attempted to kill Fallon, or you, here and now. Now, Lucy, I think you've had far to many drinks, even if it was just that one," she motioned with a petite finger to the ale, "that now you've gotten riled up in an act of following, where are your true feelings?"
Azcadelia dismissed Perc and Lucy from her mind for the time being and surveyed the heads in the bar, all casting their naive and curious gazes her way; all were watching her, waiting for her beat down. Then, she flickered her gaze to Fallon. With a warm smile she said, "I announced my intentions to willingly because they are true intentions. I do not mean you harm at all. Also I did not mean to insult you by calling you lot ignorant, not at all," she flashed eyes of apology to Lucy and Perc. "But as squires I was aware that you aren't allowed to discuss Knight business outside Knight Headquarters, and this, I would think, qualifies as Knight business because of my seeking of employment by them. Also, I am not asking you to trust me nor to not trust me, simply believe me. There is a fine line between the former and latter I assure you, but what I say is true. I wish to be a spy for the Knights, I wish to lend my slick manner of diplomacy, witty tongue, beautiful ways and reimancy to the Knights; to my home guarding men."
Azcadelia sat up in her chair and took a sip of the lighter, bitter red wine. "Fallon, answering your last question, on why haven't I already sought employment, it is because even though I have been here since the middle of winter I was preoccupied by family causes. You see, my father use to run a crime ring right outside of the Syliras' control. He chose to expand it even greater and guess what happen," Azcadelia chuckled to herself, "he was caught, and imprisoned. Now he resides in the Syliras dungeons begging for scraps. Because I was his only child, his daughter, his heiress, I had to go to his headquarters and establish order. I failed obviously. Now I am here, seeking employment from your employers. No harm, no foul. I haven't been able to explore throughly because of family issues, as previously stated. So I hoped it wasn't too much to ask if you, and your squire companion could have escorted me, or pointed me in the direction of the Knights." Azcadelia ended her gallantry and drained the rest of the light wine before turning to face Fallon again, this time closely, their faces a mere inches from one another. "Fall, I hope I can call you that, I like you, I like you a lot. Maybe after this I can treat you to more beer, till your heart's content?"
The bar laid quiet and motionless waiting for the table to either blow up or simmer away. Hoping more for the former.
