As the konti warned Clyde of the possible pain or discomfort of the healing, Clyde just shrugged. Honestly, after the things he had been through, he highly doubted anything she did would be to much for him. Perhaps it was a aspect of who he was, or just long term dosages of small pain, but Clyde had a decently high pain tolerance. Or more to the point, a higher threshold to what he actually considered bad. After all, after feeling strong enough pain, many lesser pains did not even register or bother a person. Or at least that seemed true in the case of Clyde. As she pressed upon his face with her hands, the last thing he noticed was he gnosis mark. Not how it looked, or anything like that. But the fact that it glowed, a glow that was all to familiar. The glow of shimmering res? He could tell that in the midst of a sunny day, let alone now in a damp office. Why though, did the gnosis seem to glow more or less in the same fashion as his res? He was often startled, when he saw connections and similarities between magic. And this case was no different. First she started on his face, a feeling as a gentle wind blowing over him grazed his skin. Then as the wind passed, the skin relaxed, no longer tight and bunched as a scar, but as smooth unblemished skin... Then a itch began inside of his skull, as she started on his ears. The itch reminded him of Spiritism, of being possessed. It was a similar itch, that by instinct his body called out to scratch and loosen the foreign intruder from inside of him. But as he had learned to do while being possessed, he did not fight the presence, but allowed it to do its work. it did not pain him, but it still was intrusive, and reminded him of sharing his body with a ghosts soul. As he blinked, and reopened his eyes, he suddenly realized, he could not see! He could not help a twitch of his finger, and a sudden exhale, as he fought the urge to bring his hands up to his eyes and knock away the hands of the Konti. But once more, he fought the urge. But soon enough it was over, and as he blinked and opened his eyes, he could once more see. And see he certainly could! He looked down at her gnosis mark, and noticed its fine lines, etched into her skin, like it had been drawn on by a master craftsman. In reality, it was the touch of a divine, upon the woman's skin. He relaxed almost unconsciously, as he looked about the room. It was not immense the difference, but enough that he suddenly could see and hear details that before would have been lost on him. As she finished up, she moved to the wound in his thigh, un-scarring the tissue, and returning it to the unblemished state it once had been. His body felt the same, but at the same time different. It was at the same time looser, but also firmer. He could not say exactly how it was changed, but he certainly felt better than before. As she asked his name, a small smile came over Clyde's face, as he took her offered hand in his. "Clyde. My name is Clyde Sullins. Nice to meet you Suon'li. And thank you for what you have done. It means a lot. And I will not forget of this." |
