The player scrapbooks forum is literally a place for writers to warm-up, brainstorm, keep little scraps of notes, or just post things to encourage themselves and each other. Each player can feel free to create their own thread - one per account - and use them accordingly.
... well, I WAS planning to sleep tonight... or EVER go swimming again...
My Words | Your Words | Myrian | Fratavan | My Thoughts Razkar has been cursed by Yahal, and as such finds little acceptance from others; they will instinctively view him as being deceptive and traitorous. However, when close to one blessed by Yahal, the effect is negated. The curse is etched onto his left pectoral, and viewing the mark causes others to feel dirty and unclean.
The worst part is that they all seem so frick'n happy to see me. And that somehow makes it more disturbing. The first guys all like: "Hey Frank! How's it goin'!". The second is smiling in a very date-rape way, and the fuzzy blue guy is laughing like a drunk.
If your gonna put them anywhere, I think they should all be in the Suvan for a big ineffectual-monsterous-deity hoedown.
Found out something IRL that makes me want to write a thread where Edreina beats some girl bloody. I'm talking broken elbow, bruised lung, cauterized lady-parts bloody...
XD wow. I've never seen my violent side today. Or my redneck side. Guess living in Texas has rubbed off. O.O
Guys it might be a few hours til I have calmed enough to reply to threads. Sorry. :/
So! I'm having the worst writer's block in the world. -bangs head on desk- And it is probably because somebody keeps distracting me from Miz. You know who you are... Arse.
XD In all seriousness, I see people doing cool things with their scrapbooks all the time so I thought I would do my cool thing!
So, without further ado, my humble offering to the community.
CONCERT REVIEWS! WHOOOOOOOO xD I go to a few concerts, and I often wonder beforehand if they will be even half as good as the albums. So, to save you the trouble, la-ti-da, here we go. I'll do my first one on the most recent concert I went to because it is still fresh in my mind.
COHEED AND CAMBRIA
You would likely know them from: Description of Music Style: It is considered to be rock, but it is very hard to fit C&C into just one category. They incorporate aspects of pop, country, metal... everything. No two songs of theirs sound alike. You can go from a gentle ballad such as "Wake Up" to a song like "Feathers" or "Ten Speed' and barely feel the shift because of Claudio's singing style.
Unlike most bands where each song is written about an event or an emotion, C&C's music is based to narrate a fictional tale created by the lead singer, Claudio Sanchez, called The Armory Wars. So, while each song may be able to touch a part of you in that moment, there is also an overwhelming sense of mystery and very strong imagery. It is the kind of music that you can zone out to and think about nothing, or everything. It can inspire you, get you into the mood to write. Anyway... Unless you cannot stand Claudio's voice at all, which some people can't, I know, I would seriously suggest checking them out sometime. With 7 albums, I'm sure you'll find one song you like. Concert Venue:Stubbs BBQ in Austin - Outdoor receives a 4/5 because while it is a large venue, it is a bit hard to navigate in the dark and the flurry of a crowd because of partitions and different levels. There is nowhere to sit and chill out between acts. The stage, however, is wonderfully shaped, so you can hear the music perfectly from anywhere at the venue, even the merch-lines which are well placed at the rear. It also had a really cool projector to go with the music and lots of lights and lasers. :3 Yay! xD Concert Cost: $50 per ticket (Price was double the listing because we were idiots and had to wait until the day before to know if we were even going... Damn scalpers.), $20 per shirt, plus gas. Album to Live Comparison: Phe-nom-i-nal! C&C sounds the same, if not better, than their albums. I was genuinely surprised at his live voice quality. Concert Experience: It was cold as all get out the night of the concert, so that kind of soured my experience. But, the crowd was a lot of fun and very into the music. One guy proposed to his ladyfriend during "Wake Up", very cute. The opening bands were pretty good, but could have been better. Claudio is pretty funny on stage, (Yes, his hair is actually that majestic) and really nice off stage from what I heard. There were no delays to the concert, thankfully, and even the tech guys were pretty cool. Their soundboards were sitting on top of tables labeled "Shitty Table" and "Less Shitty Table". Overall Value: 4/5 Lots of fun listening to lots of great music! I would definitely recommend it!
Ok, so there you go. Anything else I should add/discuss?
Here is a list of other bands I'll be doing:
Volbeat
Falling in Revers
