OOCHahaha sorry but the "As you wish-" gave me giggle-worthy thoughts about the Princess Bride xD
As Razkar caught hold of her hair, forcing her head back and exposing her soft neck. It was a surprise that he would transition so quickly from passion into animal lust, but the suddenness of the change sent a tremor racing through Edreina as she contemplated what was to come. The grin he followed the motion with... It made her feel absolutely helpless before the hunter that was occupying her, possessing her. Her blue eyes betrayed an innocent excitement as she was caught up in the headiness that comes with surrendering control of yourself, body and soul, to another. Every time someone had sex, they did this to some degree, but for the first time Edreina completely relinquished her sense of self, devoting her body to pleasing Razkar, truly becoming his female.

There were so many words left unsaid between the two, but joined like this words were... Mundane. The energy that flowed from one soul to another through the brush of lips, the dance of tongues, the joining of two bodies, it transcended any spoken word. As you lay with someone, you became aware of their fear, their resentment, their hate, their disgust... And sometimes, ever so rarely, their love. Love. Making love. That's what this was, Edreina finally realized. The difference lay, not in the technique, as she had always thought, but in the person. Everything had been different for Edreina with Razkar. Her fall was not the quick, painful trip of adolescent admiration, but the long, slow fall of something more mature. One was quick and easy, it was sometimes forced and unnatural. The second was akin to gravity; you could fight it, you could pretend it did not exist. And yet, there it was. Undeniable.

As Razkar assumed control of their moment, he managed to obliterate all sentient or civilized thought from his fire-maned partner. The pain caused by his vigorous motions was an entirely new sensation that threatened to leap the line out of being pleasurable at any moment. Apparently, their season of foreplay had not been enough to physically ready Edreina, and so her oh so ready mind had readily launched into petching mode despite the fact that her body was not properly... Prepared.

And yet, the pain did not matter. There she was, being claimed again and again by the man she had lusted after for so long. It was a dichotomy to Edreina, being controlled from their position. But the fact that he was able to control her despite her superior stance only made Razkar all the more desirable in her mind. She was a free spirit, yes, but sometimes free spirits need to be taught of powers higher than themselves. And in that moment, Razkar held more power over Edreina than any god, and it was his name that left his lips in pleading cries, gasps of adoration and whimpers of reverence as he humbled her. Again and again.

His lips and even his teeth on her throat sent chills of excitement pulsing down her spine, collecting and pooling and combining into a harsh throb at her core. Her muscles ached and burned and spoke of a pressure that begged for release. Intense was her pleasure and passionate was her response. Without pause, she leaned forward and threw herself back into tormenting him with her lips, her tongue, her teeth. Each time a place or an action invoked a reaction from the Myrian, it was mentally circled in bright white chalk, saved for later. While her mouth worked incessantly, her hands did the same.

One hand was entirely occupied with being knotted in the hair closest to his scalp, anchoring him against her, showing her own primal side. The other was, thanks to the entirely able grasp of her powerful thighs, free to roam. It stroked his strong jaw, the musculature of his shoulder, his collarbone, it skimmed over on of the hard, dark points on his chest, stopping to caress and pinch and tug lightly before moving on, testing him. She was learning him as much as he was learning her.

At the same time as all of this, Edreina's midsection began to flex and tighten, moving her hips back and forth in a motion perpendicular to each rough stroke, increasing the resistance as he slid in and out of her slick slit. When a particularly ragged stroke reversed directions at an unexpected moment, sending him hurtling into the center of her pleasure, the woman could not but utter a high cry, could not help but grip his back with her nails and bite down upon his shoulder in an attempt to muffle herself.

And, through it all, a small, enrapt smile claimed her full, swollen lips.

[The Bronze Woods]A New Sensation (Razkar)

Befuddled and beguiled as he was by the warm curves pressed against him, inside him, around him, Razkar was still a hunter long before he met Edreina, and when she shuddered ecstatically against him, almost slamming her head against his shoulder to muffle a scream of passion... that bought the Myrian's volcanic gaze flashing back to hers.

"Hmmm..."

The low, contemplative sound reeked of confident, smirking advantage. Reminded her of their sparring sessions where they'd lashed each other mercilessly, and he'd seen a chink of weakness, a physical tell and that same smirk he wore in that bubbling pool would bloom on his face. She looked down into it and his lips parted sightly. The helpless wonder diminished on his sweat-glistening face, knowing glint in his eyes-

-as he rolled his hips inwards, biting his lip as he felt the tip of his hardness scrape against the trembling nub just beyond her-

-the Svefra's back arched briefly and then she contorted in on herself, forehead pressed to his, panting into his chest like she'd just been... impaled.

Razkar forced himself not to get caught up too deep in that imagery, but he was whom he was, and a fresh surge of blood tingled up his hardness at the mingling of sex and violence-

-especially when her nails raked his back again, deep enough for him to feel his blood kiss the steamy air. He shuddered and a throbbing, rising wave began to crest in him, making his hands grip her tighter, hips rolling again, his head rolling back and a rasping, half-exhausted chuckle escaped his lips.

"Ah...?"

Words were as yet beyond him. The capacity for vocal manipulation was some strange articulation that were to him as an abacus was to an amoeba. But there was still that gleam of triumph in his eyes, a feral, innately sexual confirmation that... yes...

"More?"

One word, then. The only one that mattered at that moment.

When two bodies are connected so intimately, each partner can feel everything the other does. And that, thank the gods, includes chuckling.

When Razkar's deep, rumbling sound of teasing mirth rolled up from between his lips, it also echoed down between the Svefra's hips. The feeling of it was so shockingly erotic that Edreina let her head fall back, lips parting into a smile of pure ecstasy as a long, sweet "aaahhh" left her lips. At the realization that they were in much the same position, head tilted back, hands clutching one another, utterly awed by the pleasure that the other had the power to produce, Edreina grinned and laughed. When she laughed, her insides clenched in a way most delicious, and she found herself doing it again, giggling for an instant or two before she trailed off in a soft moan. Never before had she laughed when like this with a man... Sure, she had laughed beforehand at a man, but never in this fashion or for this reason. Sex with Razkar was creating an entirely new category of ecstasy in Edreina's mind.

"More?"

That one solitary word managed to send a tingle down her spine when paired with the heat in his eyes. Blue eyes alight with excitement managed to twinkle and shine despite pupils dilated to the point that her eyes were nearly as black as her partners. Gods... He really was something. With a small smile and a bitten lip, Edreina nodded and managed to utter a soft, pleading, "Please?.

In the span of an instant, Razkar shifted their position and redoubled his efforts, thrusting into her with such animalistic tenacity that for the first handful of strokes, she was still. Her mind had left her as a haze of pleasure consumed her, eking into every breath she took and every moan she released. Her body was set ablaze, burning away all sentient thought until she was little more than an animal herself, acting upon the most base of instincts. Her teeth were at his neck, his shoulders, his lips, marking and taunting and teasing him as frequently as her full lips. As her body began to tighten and throb, convulsing sporadically as a wave of pleasure too intense for her to handle blotted out all in existence, halting her breath for single instant, her nails etched a tale of earth-shattering passion into his tanned flesh.

When she walked on a ship, a pattern could be felt and she could adjust her body to each coming wave and crest. At that moment the very same muscles were used to oppose Razkar in each frantically rhythmic stroke. Her back arched forwards and back while her hips swiveled round and around at the same time, creating a dizzying and ever changing sensation that was causing her to build and build, body growing more and more tense with each passing tick.

She was standing on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the roiling Suvan below. Her breath quickened, her body began to arch and tighten as she prepared to fall from the precipice-

-until a dark brown figure shot past her tripped, and fell over the edge with a surprised cry, falling down into the Suvan to be tossed about by waves of uncontrollable pleasure. And there she was thinking that men outgrew their... Er... Cliff-jumping habit.

"Please?"

Talk about your magic words.

That single, whispered syllable... Goddess, there so much weight, and so many images flashed through Razkar's mind when he heard it. How many times had he heard that in his dreams, his fantasies? The sight of her, bare and... begging.

What male in the multiverse wouldn't have every wall he had left torn down by that possibility?

With a growl more animal that Myrian (was there a difference in many minds?), Razkar's hands slapped to her hips and she shuddered in his grip. Eyes fixed on hers like daggers pinning her to a wall, he lifted her up and laid her on the edge of the pool, on the warm, smooth stone, kneeling between her legs as her back tingled at the feel of the gently-scraping stone-

-and started thrusting with abandon into her, all subtlety thrown to the wind and gratefully forgotten. She writhed and sighed, moaned and moved against him, around him, even the tiniest flexing of her body making his breath hitch.

The Myrian slid a hand at the small of her back as it arched, his other hand... roving down her chest... marveling with his mouth open, panting, teeth bared as he felt the smoothness of her stomach, the soft, bountiful mounds of her breasts, felt those hard nipples and tweaked them with a sadistic flourish-

-before she jerked upright and her teeth lashed him over and over. He forced himself to sway backwards slightly, head lolled back almost horizontal, hissing and panting as he felt... welts. Even the hint of blood bruises and his skin actually pierced. All the while that slick, tight cavern between her legs ground and trembled around his hardness, growing more and more engorged-

He should have known it would happen. A year without... release, of any kind, and Razkar was still a young male. Mayhap some small voice warned against him, something smooth and yet lascivious, advising him to slow and drag out every moment of pleasure.

But the pleasure itself... what he was taking from her, sharing with her in that moment... it muddled every other thought in his head. She could do no wrong, and every right she did instead was another layer of perfection. His vision was filled with her, every inch tingling and... unbearable. His heart pounded in his head and the sight of her hair splayed around her head on the stone, lips bitten, breasts shaking under his hand, her own ripping tiger-claw marks down his chest-

Something shattered in Razkar's pelvis and he threw his head back, roaring with his mouth wide and teeth bared to the sky. One vicious thrust more and he felt himself... purge. Climax.

Fall into a pool dark and endless and where drowning was a blissful release. But as his hardness emptied, his mind refreshed... as did his ego.

"... shyke..."

Her gaze jerked to him after a tick, once her mind registered the words. Razkar's face looked... broken, and not in the blissful, vacant way she had seen men look before. Instantly the passion evaporated, concern seeping into her features and she touched his cheek... but he tried to shy away. His eyes closed and his jaw tightened.

Young. So young, in many ways. And thus, so proud.

"Sorry, I... I am sorry." The words were ragged, breathless as she expected them to be. But the Svefra had never heard her Myrian - and how easy did that term of endearment come to her mind? - sound so defeated. He leaned into her hand as if in grieving. "It has... been long year... since I lay with female."

Black eyes looked up and they were glassy, almost opaque. Razkar smiled weakly and stroked her chin, dark hand cupping her face. Goddess... he didn't want to petch it up like this, he-

He looked into her eyes... saw the secret smile there just for him, that he'd seen before... saw a female still radiant and glowing with pleasure that bore not disgust or judgement. Instantly the hollow failure in him was flooded, obliterated, driven from his soul. Razkar felt... uplifted... when she stroked his cheek again and shook his head, still smiling.

"You..." He managed eventually, lifting her up and nuzzling her face, tender and gentle now his long-restrained rampage was over. He struggled for the words and finally chuckled, biting his lip in recent memory. "You were... beyond... all I ever have in mind..."

"Sorry, I... I am sorry. It has... been long year... since I lay with female."

Edreina took Razkar's face in both of her hands, stroking his cheekbone with the thumb upon which he was not leaning. He looked so broken that any mirth the event had caused was quickly lost to a swell of concern. This was an expression she had never seen cross his features, and hoped never to see again. Without speaking, she leaned forward and pressed her lips to his once, ever so softly. It was a confirmation that yes, she was still there and that was where she planned on staying. If anything, Edreina felt a sick sort of pride at the fact she was able to cause a hardened - que giggles - Myrian warrior to lose control of his body at the sensations that she caused.

When he looked up at her, she could not help but smile that slow, intimate smile that was meant just for him, the one that often graced her lips when Razkar did something unexpectedly sweet or gentle. She understood his shame, but knew there was no reason for it. For a moment, they sat in silence, finally able to bask in the warm glow their act left in their souls.

"You... You were... beyond... all I ever have in mind..."

As Raz stood in the shallow pool, gloriously bare, and took Edreina with him, the woman could not help but laugh. When was the last time she had let someone pick her up like this? Childhood? My how comfortable they had become with one another. As he nuzzled her face, she skimmed her nose from the tip of his up to where it met his brow, planting a soft, fond kiss upon the tip of his nose. If anyone from Syliras were to see this... they would go back for more of whatever ale or 'baccy they had just consumed. A pale, lithe woman with her legs locked about a dark-skinned savage as he held her aloft, both smiling and being ever so affectionate.

After a tick more of the sweet closeness they shared, the openness after their bodies had shouted what their lips were too afraid to even whisper, Edreina released him and slid down his body until she was also standing in the water. The feeling of his bare skin against her caused her to shiver lightly, but it was more soul-warming than erotic in that moment.

With a wink, she pulled away and teased, "You weren't too bad yourself." Despite the fact she was currently mentally waving her arms and shouting about how much better he was than any other man she had lain with and oh dear Laviku when would they be able to do that again!?

Before he could stammer out a response, she giggled and leapt from the pool, hiding how she cringed lightly at her... erh... soreness. "Now come on. We have snares to check and a city wall to make it back into before dark. I would hate for some savage beast to make a meal of me..." Another wink was cast his way as well as a wiggle of the hips as she leaned over to hand-squeegee the droplets from her skin. Once it was dry enough, her clothes were put on in quick order.

All the while, nothing the redhead could do would wipe a grin from her lips. Is this what people meant when they said someone was "petched-out-happy"? A quick glance at her reflection showed an odd visage with rosy cheeks, bright, playful blue eyes that absolutely exuded satisfaction, messy red hair, faintly fuller-than-normal lips, and a neck full of "love-marks". Not at all the woman Edreina had been this morning, and all the better for it. Where most women would hide the dappled violet marks, she would wear them with pride; she had been the woman to attract the fierce warrior's attention - for Gods knew what reason - and she had been the one to make him-

Oh dear Goddess...

Edreina had been holding in her mirth for Razkar's benefit for several chimes then, so when finally he seemed to have regained his confidence, she felt safe enough to laugh. And laugh she did. For nearly a chime solid, ending up sitting upon the bald stone with her mouth in her hands as she attempted to rein it in. Razkar of the Shorn Skulls, the great and powerful Son of Myri, master of the blades, unable to control his... his weapon! Oh the irony!

19th Bell

It never ceased to take his breath away, and once that stunned sensation had faded, the cold reminder of just how frightening that was lingered. One stroke of his cheek, a smile made secret by its intimacy... and those fears he held onto just... flew away. He could feel the weight of them vanish and he felt like he would take wing as well, heart swelling-

Razkar had no words. None would suffice for... what she was to him. He sighed, deep and doomed, resting his forehead against hers and contemplating what a fool he was.

A chime later he stood, and in the sanctuary of the Geysers, there was little difference to his body. Part of him groaned that they had to leave this place, so perfect and unique and... well, why did they have to? Fresh water and hygiene were all around them. Safety in the trees, game and wild vegetation they could eat.

Razkar sighed and shook his head again. Already planning a life, are we? So far from the jungle? Goddess, boy what got into-

A slim, warm, smooth softness slid up his body, topped by a wet red mane and the Myrian felt himself stiffen, as if his body was willing itself to stay still so it could experience all of her. The lightest kiss was planted on his nose, making it tingle softly, and then she embraced him...

Razkar's breath came out in a shudder that he prayed she didn't notice, and he wrapped his own arms around her. This was frightening. This was... unwise, on same many planes... but this was where their path had led and if the gods had granted him the boon of a second chance?

No. This was as it should have been.

"You weren't too bad yourself."

Speaking of them, gods, how she knew to draw a blush out of him! Razkar hadn't done that in seasons and now the slightest affection or approval from this slight, short female would bring color to his cheeks. He fumbled and toed the bottom of the pool, clearing his throat far more than he needed to until he found the-

"Now come on. We have snares to check and a city wall to make it back into before dark. I would hate for some savage beast to make a meal of me..."

Damnit!

"Ah... good idea!"

Oh, brilliant contribution...

Then he noticed the wiggle of her hips - oh, like that was just a muscle spasm - and quickly forgot all further introspection. It was useless around her; serious thoughts and painful self-analysis rebounded of her vitality like... like a hard and bouncy thing.

Oh, Goddess. What is she doing to you?

Razkar frowned at his own merciless inner monologue and strapped his loincloth back around his pelvis... and winced slightly as he did. Goddess, but she really did put him through the wringer. He looked down at his reflection and his eyes widened his shock at the... fuck, was that blood?! Yes! Tiny channels of it gouged in the tanned flesh o his chest, her scratching fingernails slashing marks in them. He hadn't even noticed until now-

A burst of noise, bright and brilliant like the shimmering rays of Syna, and his hands did not go to his weapons. Instinct told Razkar more than reality did, and he knew such a sound had no malice lurking behind it. With his own quizzical smile he turned to Edri and padded lightly through the water until her was crouching before her bobbing shoulders and trembling mass of red hair, face almost as red with humor.

"Oh? And what makes pretty barbarian laugh?"

Edreina leaned close... and whispered it to him.

That... That's... That's not-

Razkar's face clouded instantly. The melancholy and self-doubt from chimes ago seemed to return with much triumphant aplomb, but... no... it was a paper tiger, as one with the right eyes could see. His lips quirked defiantly at the corners, sight of her smiling, white teeth catching the sun and eyes dancing with such innocent beauty... he couldn't even take himself seriously.

"I... I know my... weapon!" He managed to almost, maybe, perhaps, kind of , slightly sound serious, biting his upper lip to stop the tide from spilling out of him. "Not expect barbarian to... know... to know sword-"

Oh, that was it. Myrian collapsed against Svefra and the two of them lay there for a chime, bodies shaking and trembling with laughter until it wasn't just sweat running down Razkar's face. He looked down at her and gently, lovingly swept away the hair from her cheeks and eyes, dropping a slow, deep kiss onto and between her lips. She responded eagerly and all those fresh memories surged back to his body-

Razkar chuckled as she gasped against him, stiffness held back by his 'cloth. Gods, how he loved that animal look in her eyes, especially now she knew exactly what it could gift her with...

"You said have work to do," he said, face a parody of stoic resignation, "So sad... but must go."

With that he got to his feet and retrieved their equipment, handing his bow and quiver over to the Svefra so he could take the full weight of their meat on his shoulders. It took him a chime to get his head back where it needed to be, which would speak of much, if you knew Razkar.

Hard, narrowed eyes looked up and saw that circular inferno dipping low behind the trees. The faintest tremor of concern wriggled through his mind. How deep were they? How far to walk before the light faded entirely? Night here was no place for them to be and-

"Must make good time," he said firmly, forcing any more thoughts of fun from his mind... for now. At that point in time, he needed to be her protector and her leader, not her love. "Syna nearly at rest, and not want to get caught in woods when dark. Must get back to snares fast."

[The Bronze Woods]A New Sensation (Razkar)

Postby Edreina on August 23rd, 2013, 1:22 am

Edreina did her very best to keep up with Razkar through the woods, honestly, but with post-coital legs of jelly and a penchant for tripping upon flat, still earth, the Svefra did not fare well at all. In fact, she did so badly that she often saw Razkar's shoulders shaking with silent, barely restrained, mirth or shaking his head and looking up at the sky. Once or twice, after catching him doing this, the redhead would lunge forward to catch hold of the tip of his topknot before turning away an instant later, the archetypal visage of innocence. Well, at least until a grin broke out across her face.

As they ventured further back towards Syliras, they were immersed in the final flickers of twilight, and Edreina found herself wishing for a torch of some sort, if only to keep the animals skirting about around them away. At this distance, the Suvan was but a faint whisper, a mental pull so light it could have belonged to a child. But, at least, they were heading in the right direction.

So much had happened in one day... Edreina had been on her first hunt and she had made love to Razkar and- Well, that was about it. Perhaps part of the reason the redhead was unable to remain on her feet was because she kept getting lost is filthy little daydreams involving the man walking in front of her. The worse part was she was no longer losing herself to fantasies, to insubstantial notions. She now had memories, concrete mementos of their passion scratched into her flesh, as well as the well toned, dusky back forging a path ahead of her. Her pupils dilated once again, useful in the low-light, as she found herself turning another possibility over in her head. And then another... Gods, what this man did to her.

It was natural, she supposed, to be utterly obsessed with something so new, but the constant flush of hot and cold over her skin was getting to be a bit irritating. Razkar had reached completion - Lucky petchin' bastard... - but knowledge of what had to be done had kept Edreina from insisting upon the same decadence being lavished upon her. So tonight would, sadly, be one of those nights were she lay awake until the Myrian's snores filled the cabin and she could- But could she not simply ask him to help her?

It would save loads of time...

Wow that is hardly a convincing pitch.

Hm... Ooh! What if I use the whole, "You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" bit?

I hardly believe that you are in need of a backscratch...

The internal monologue continued for several chimes until Razkar stopped, drawing the blushing redhead's attention to a bit of metal and a very dead rabbit laying at the base of a tree.

Right, well... back to business.

[The Bronze Woods]A New Sensation (Razkar)

Postby Razkar on August 24th, 2013, 2:36 am

Every rock they passed... every sturdy tree... every patch of moss that seemed like a bed prepared for them by Caiyha... Razkar had to focus himself just a little more and continue their march through the Bronze Woods.

His member wasn't paying much attention, though. He wondered if the Svefra noticed he was walking somewhat... precariously.

The thought alone bought a smile to his face, one of those gentle movements of the lips that seems to make every crease glow. Even in the waning light once could see the flash of his teeth, eyes shining with that unmistakable post-coupling exhilaration.

Until he heard yet another stumble from behind him and rolled his eyes with a good-natured grimace.

"Must keep feet steady!" He said with mock seriousness, grinning wickedly to himself. "Chipmunks hear!"

That seemed to straighten her out, and he pictured the Svefra spending the whole journey gazing upwards fearfully, every flitting shadow and roosting bird perhaps a behemoth made of teeth and muscle... which only made it easier for her to-

Stumble again. The Myrian sighed and raised his eyes to the heavens.

I don't know. I don't think even bears would go after something making that kind of noise...

But, eventually, the enclosing dark of the Bronze Woods gave way, tree by tree, until they strode forth and the clear fields surrounding Syliras were open to them. A riot of stars twinkled merrily overhead, countless dancing pinpoints that blinked on and off like torches flitting behind walls. Even the massive flaring lights of Syliras could not diminish them all, and rising high and proud above the Shining City...

"He is fat and happy male this night," Razkar said, moonlight painting his face until he looked almost pale in it, "Good omen." He nudged his shoulder into her and stole a kiss, drunk on the fact he could do so now without fear of rejection. "Maybe he know thing we don't...?"

Goddess, how much he wanted to take her where she stood. Though robbed of Syna's rays to show every detail of her beauty, in the light of that fiery ball's lover she was... eerily radiant. She giggled and bit her lip, stroking a lock of red from her face and Razkar found himself staring... awed.

He felt the urge to drop to his knees. Pledge... something. Make some mark that showed the world and all that watched it that he, Razkar of the Shorn Skulls, Child of Myri and servant of the Chosen People, regarded her...

Her? A barbarian? How fast you forget your vows.

The thought would have doubled him over nearly in agony a season ago. Now... he merely sighed. The die as cast and the deed done; he could not erase it now... and there was the thrilling guilty realization he did not want to. As much as Aya, he and Edreina had found each other in a world so diverse and conflicted, so riven by the gods. Tanroa's deranged and unknowable plans were beyond the ken of scholars and holy men alike, but still... Razkar had been blessed by that most inscrutable of deities.

There will be time enough for guilt and frailty. Right now, though-

A flash of silver at ground level bought the hunter's head snapping around. Moonlight touched the wire noose and glassy, dead black eyes bulged from the sockets of a dead rabbit. Razkar grunted, mind newly focused and set... unsheathing the dagger from his back.

"Time for last thing..."

Just as he'd taught her to plant the snares, he taught her to clear and pack them. The Myrian made sure her eyes were on their work and not him when he bent down and began to gently work his fingers between the wire and the rabbit's throat. The creature had strangled to death quickly but definitely, and it was a few chimes before the wire was loose enough for him to drag out the limp body. The second snare was the same, and then the third...

Movement. Frantic, desperate and very much alive. Two shadows eclipsed the stars and the moon, and the rabbit regarded them with fear- and pain-mad eyes. Razkar winced gently as he saw the wire had nearly skinned one entire leg, the little creature's struggling only making its entrapment work. Now it was exhausted, panting and barely upright, flinching as he bent down-

"No more pain, little one."

Silver flashed and scarlet followed fast on its heels, spurt of blood a mute rejoinder to the sighing sound of Razkar's stabbing blade. The rabbit quivered once as Razkar skewered it, skinny chest pumping madly, impossibly, desperately fast... and then was still.

"OK..." Razkar withdrew the blade and wiped it on a patch of grass, then stepped back. "Now you."

He watched with that same close, critical eye as before, though it was not much of a challenge. Edreina's hands were hardened and dexterous after years at sea, and after countless thousands of knots done and undone, a wire snare was probably nothing to her callused fingertips. In a chime - faster than him, actually - she held up the rabbit by the legs, bloody body gently swinging as she began to walk-

"No."

-then stopped dead. The Myrian in the moonlight pointed beyond her, back to the snare.

"We leave nothing in Green Goddess' land. This place for her children. Rabbit and bird and deer and wolf. Not leave thing of... our people. Not snare or arrow, or clothes or wire. Take all back. Leave green place clean."

The words were fractured as always, but delivered with utter seriousness. The Myrians were utterly devoted to their terrible and wondrous Goddess-Queen, but all of them knew that without the bounty Caiyha had bestowed upon Falyndar, they would truly be naught but scrabbling savages, scratching a living off rock and swamp. The lush, endless jungle was her greatest gift to them, and ferocious and war-hungry as they all were, they respected it.

Take only what you need, and leave nothing of your passing. The first lesson his mother had taught him, and Razkar was determined to pass it on.

He waited patiently as she returned the snare to him, no trace of it save for a splash of sickly glowing blood that would dry to a stinking black stain within a bell. Razkar took the rabbit and placed it in the rucksack with the boar meat, shifting the many, many pounds of meat around with a smirk.

"I think we eat well, Edri, for for long time." He cocked an eyebrow, breathing in the cool night air and thanking the gods for giving them some respite from the day's swelter. "So, enjoy first hunt? You were... well, loud. And little clumsy. But so was I. Just prac-"

A delicate, fearful snuffling sound bought both heads snapping around. At once the tiny ball of fur watching them both from a low limb stiffened, full cheeks looking fit to burst as it studied these odd creatures traipsing so close to its territory. At the sight of it, so small and furry and innately adorable, Edreina's face split... and the sun rose again for Razkar...

"Beautiful..." She turned to him and he just chuckled, kissing her softly, warming his lips on hers and sating his touch on her cheek... and finding both eagerly ravenous again. "I said 'beautiful'. Should learn. Will use that much around you..."

Then the Svefra turned, eyes still thirsting for an answer, regarding the palm-sized creature yet again, who was no apparently so fearless or dumb that it was cleaning itself. Two-legs were so odd. Always touching each other unnecessarily. Honestly, where was the fun in that?

"You want to know what it?"

A brief, fervent nod... and she did not see the gleeful mischief that alighted his face. Razkar's voice dipped low, serious, almost... afraid? She turned, frowning... and saw his grin.

"Edri... is dreaded... chipmunk!"

A tick for shock to stiffen her face. Another for confusion to take it's place, rationality taking over to quash the paralyzing befuddlement. But Razkar's grin, impish and joyous and capped with a stunningly un-Myrian giggle, finally tipped her expression over into outrages realization.

He began to run, and she would follow. With his load, she would catch him, a streak of red-capped fury chasing after a scarred shadow under a chuckling moon.

But not yet.

Razkar has been cursed by Yahal, and as such finds little acceptance from others; they will instinctively view him as being deceptive and traitorous. However, when close to one blessed by Yahal, the effect is negated. The curse is etched onto his left pectoral, and viewing the mark causes others to feel dirty and unclean.

Notes :
A tip of the hat to both of you. There’s little more than that to be said. PM me if you’ve questions regarding your grade.

• | Edreina, you've earned a perk! - “To Rise Above”, Razkar’s presence inspires Edreina to do better. The desire to impress as well as display higher moral character has become an underlying foundation of her perspective on life where he is concerned. Whether his eyes are on her or he is simply there in spirit the phrase “What would Razkar do?” is never far from her thoughts. Though it makes one wonder, is this desire born from the affection she has for him or the fear she has of losing him?
