This shining population center is considered the jewel of The Sylira Region. Home of the vast majority of Mizahar's population, Syliras is nestled in a quiet, sprawling valley on the shores of the Suvan Sea. [Lore]

Again another surprise. This human seemed rather intelligent and modern. For such a barbarian part of the world believing in male superiority, Kaie couldn't see anything but everything backward from what it should be. In Taloba, women ruled and lead the men. They were the matriarchs and the supreme. The dominant gender. Such a concept was always utterly unfathomable in Syliras, so much so Kaie was taken aback at the very notion this man thought differently. He was absolutely right of course. Did they not live in a world in which a mere mortal woman rose to defeat and steal the title from the God of War?
"I couldn't agree more," She affirmed with a sly grin, nodding her head almost invisibly in confirmation. Just as she was about to continue, however, a new stranger entered the scene. As expected they were pestering her new companion. Kaie knew why such a person would venture toward a man clearly preoccupied. The idea only widened her broad grin, especially when he was cut off twice. She ditched the idea of speaking in the meantime. Waiting for him to finish instead, she drew her finger left and right in small ellipticals on the counter. When he finally seemed prepared to finished, she turned her head to face him. Fiery eyes locked on his if only for the sake of focus. Or was it something else?
"If you've been trying to ask for my name, it's Kaie. Now what would be the title of the bar's most popular patron tonight?" The Myrian woman teased good naturedly and tapped the counter with her index. A rather different flavor this night was turning out to be indeed.

Hiwalani noticed the nature of Kaie's grin and it sent a train of thought through his head. That smile. Oh, I wonder if she thinks that I think women are above men. Oh well, what she doesn't know can't hurt her. He sensed Kaie's pride in the female gender, while Hiwalani didn't see a need for pride in either gender, he always made a point to view them as equals. They had the same level of respect and dignity in his eyes and neither gave him any reason to think any different.
Kaie's eyes burned with energy as Hiwalani looked into them. Kaie, it's a nice name. Sounds a little bit like her personality from what I can see. But most popular patron in the bar? "I don't know about that, but I go by Hiwalani." He offered a hand shake as a formal introduction. It was a simple introduction. Let it never be known that 'Hiwalani' is a name with female connotation.
He was satisfied now. Now this conversation earned him something he found any value in, because there is nothing more valuable in this world than a relationship with another living creature. Whether they be enemies, friends, or simple acquaintances, it was nice to know someone else was out there.
"Now tell me," He had a name, now he needed to go somewhere with it, "Earlier you started a conversation with me, but I never got to ask; What can I do for you?" He was determined to form some kind of bond with this new name. He could only hope for success and that good things would come of it.

Kaie watched the man's eyes, feeding off the energy she found there. It had become a habit then, studying the different pairs of pools she came in contact with. They were like little tell tale signs to what was happening in the person's mind. Though she was no master at such an art, she could see clearly that he seemed to be having a good time.
When he offered his hand for a shake, Kaie took it within her own. Bronze wrapped around the paler, giving it a sound shake. His name was odd to her. It sounded nothing like Kaie or Razkar. The sounds were wrong and uncommon in her culture. Of course this was Syliras though. Some argued it was the center of the world. Tourists, merchants, and travelers from all backgrounds passed the city gates on a daily basis. All brought with them their foreign cultures and odd titles. Really this one wasn't too much different. Nonetheless, she did find it was soft sounding. Feminine almost. It rolled right off the tongue smoothly like melted chocolate. Even more interesting than his name though was his follow up question.
"Perhaps the better question is what can you do for me? I do believe we're all here to have a good time. You seem like someone who knows a thing or two about it. More so than those other there," She offered nonchalantly, supporting her claims by gesturing toward a small group of three behind them. Off in the corner of the lounge sat two men and a woman. The woman was sprawled sloppily across the burly man's lap. Her head was thrown back toward the floor in a drunken laugh. Clearly she was trying far too hard to seem cute. Truthfully she was utterly failing at it. As for the third man? Well, he was just third wheeling it.

The group Kaie pointed out was subject to Hiwalani's attention and judgement. In his mind they were a literal wreck and the laughing stock of the entire city. He almost burst out laughing at the woman's technique. The woman bit her lip attempting to be seductive, but it just looked like she was chewing on her own mouth. She was excessively loud and dressed like she was trying to hard. The man with the woman looked like he had no idea how to bathe and the other one just looked a little shy. At least the poor, lonely man didn't look as much as fools as his company. Hiwalani bet that if he were a couple feet closer he could smell the foul air of dirt and too much alcohol.
Hiwalani turned his head back to his new acquaintance. "You want to have a good time, huh? How exactly do you suggest we do that?" He worked his eyes once again as quiet pride for his control over them, unlike the laughable woman.

The Myrian woman surveyed his expression coyly, choosing exactly how to respond to his question. Picking exactly how to play the situation. Whether she would prove successful in what she chose, she wouldn't yet know. Nonetheless she gave it a shot. His eyes were certainly a distraction, though, and only more of a challenge to her. They were intelligent and sly. Something that captured her attention and drew her off course. It was that struggle for complete focus she liked. The only way keeping in the game was worth it at all. Otherwise it would never prove entertaining.
"I've done the bar crawl a hundred times. Make this one different," She said slowly as if thinking it out herself, chewing on her lip for but a moment before adjusting her focus. Kaie eased back away from the man to let her elbow rest on the counter, head supported by her hand. Kaie was thinking, watching his eyes. Wondering if her playmate would continue to prove inventive.

"Make this one different?" Hiwalani leaned in, "I could make this the most different bar crawl you've done in a while." He had something in mind. His eyes portrayed his burning confidence. He had a cunning little talent a woman of her omnipotent charisma might find inconceivable. However improvident he was before, that was gone. He now had a certain contrivance to make this night memorable. Flash my eyes, bite my lips. It was all very normal, but singular none the less.

"Now, the wind tells me that this is the first time you've been to The Herald's Arms" His expression darkened with things the lust Nikali might love and his voice softened, but both still possessed the flirtatious, playful energy flowing through him, "What's your favorite... activity?" Every word he softly spoke was more rhythmic than the last. His head tipped to the side while his teeth pinched his lower lip. He began to make a few suggestions, all he could fulfill, "There's the usual drinking, fighting isn't so bad, or other more lustful rectrations." He took a moment to look around the room for possible companions for whatever kind of entertainment she might want to pursue.

"The wind tells you the truth. I heard plenty of stories about the place and I've passed it a few times. Figured I might as well try it out," She answered honestly with amusement at his apparently superior guessing skills. It was all true on her end too. Plenty of times she had walked the street and heard the whispers, bartended and heard men's stories of the companions and oddities around the place. After three years one might've thought Kaie would've sauntered in by then prior to the informally arranged meeting she was supposed to be on. Perhaps she might've found her way here eventually.
Now he gave her the million Miza question. Her favorite activity. She couldn't possibly try to say it was her current job. That would be a flat out lie, and she wasn't always the best at deception anyways. Besides something about Hiwalani made her want to tell him the truth. But what was the truth? She could claim socializing or enjoying a walk alone in the woods. Had she wanted to, she could've brought up the Fighting Pit too. Or better yet her infamous adventure in the woods where blood ran like streams. Something told her that kind of truth would ruin the mood entirely, so she opted for a different answer. At least he gave her a loop hole when he continued with suggestions.
"I've done plenty of fighting today and if you hand me another glass, I might just drink myself to my grave," Kaie replied with a little smirk, drumming her nails upon the surface of the bar in thought. Then her fingers seemed to tense up. Harmless tapping fingers so quickly turned to claws. And oh so slowly did she drag them down the short distance from the table's edge to the empty air. Dropping them into her lap casually as soon as they hit the empty space. Her eyes found his and her arched a brow, a gleam entering muddy brown eyes. She could tell he knew more about the place than she did. Whatever fun he was cooking up, she'd be more than happy to participate.

The winds were actually a limb Hiwalani went out on and he was both surprised and relieved that he was correct in his hunch. Not that his hunch was completely without support from the way he noticed her behave when she walked into the bar. Hiwalani eyed Kaie, carefully observing her expressions as she spoke, however he didn't come across anything, although she didn't particularly point out that anything she said was her favorite. "I'll keep all that in mind, but if you want a nice bar fight, there are many soberly absent people who just might want a little bar brawl if we make them a bit jealous of each other. If a drink is what you want, let's have a treat. I couldn't possibly go on with a clean conscience knowing I let you meet me and I didn't try to take good care of someone I could consider a friend." He payed 10 Gold Mizas for a friendship along with two of the finest meals the Heralds Arms could offer.
"While we may not know each other well, the best way I know to build a friendship with some one is to share dinner with them. But you must have all sorts of people who want to sit and chat with you over dinner."
