I'm going to petching kill him!
Kaie looked about the empty arena, doing her best not to throw some sort of childish temper tantrum right then and there. Granted she was eleven, but what did that matter? Age couldn't possibly warrant an excuse for her to stomp around like some freak of nature. She was told it was unbecoming anyways. Then again there was a lot she did in her spare time her clan members might've deemed "unbecoming." It's not like they knew how often she ran off unattended into the perils of the jungle. Since her cousin, Keikyo, often commuted from their tribe lands to Taloba, it was too easy to lie and cover her tracks. All she had to say was she was meeting him at their common rendezvous get on her merry way. Kaie couldn't believe how readily they bought it, trusting the two troublemakers. She wondered for how long her solo adventures would last. But that wasn't really what puzzled and infuriated her just then. What did was the fact when she was actually supposed to meet her cousin somewhere, he had a bad habit of being terribly late. Or blowing her off.
Kaie groaned inwardly and toyed with the dulled gladius in her hand. Without real edges it was useless in a real fight. For an eleven year old with an unbridled quest to hone her skills? It was the best tool anyone could've provided her with. Sadly it looked like she wouldn't get to play with it today. And what was she supposed to do now? Go home? Do chores? Or better yet learn another language? Kaie practically shuddered at the thought. She loved the elderly woman who commanded so much respect in their tribe. What she loathed was failing miserably at a tongue that wasn't hers. Why couldn't they just train her for an extra hour or so instead?
"How typical, Keikyo. Always showing up and yelling at me for being late and you're no where to be found,"She growled quietly to herself, cursing her almost-brother bitterly. The girl half hoped something wicked would snatch him up on his walk home, because if nothing did, she surely would.
