The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

[Ahleas Park] Nari and Nature (Jenni)

The Kelvic listened closely to the woman's explanation. She had heard the term Seeker before but she'd had no idea what it had entailed and hadn't wanted to ask and so draw attention to the fact she was an outsider. She wasn't sure what the best way to describe the occupation was in just a few short words as there was no direct translation, there was no such position in Wind Reach.

"I'm certain what the best way to say it in Nari is. You can't use Seeker because that's too broad. You could say Pursuer of Knowledge but that could still be misinterpreted. It's the closest you'll get though. So you're a Pursuer of Knowledge," Chari explained, frowning at her imperfect translation. It'd have to do though.

She was a little surprised by Jenni's line of questioning but she smiled and endeavoured to answer as simply as she could in her native language so that the Twilight could understand.

"I do like singing, yes though Inartans don't usually sing. Our music is loud and rough. It's dance music, you hear it in the night club, the Inclement Weather. Singing is good in Nari but we don't sing." The young woman shrugged to show that she couldn't understand why it was so but she said no more. She watched Jenni expectantly, ready to see the gears turning in her head as she translated.

Jenni tried to figure out the block of words Chari had just said. She decided it was basically that her companion liked singing, but Inartans didn't sing in general. There was something about Dancing in there too but she couldn't figure out where it fit. It was an interesting fact, as she didn't realize the red-headed race wasn't into singing and music. It was quite funny, really. Lhavit wasn't known for its music, but it was certainly known for its art, and the two went hand in hand, didn't they?

She sighed and scratched her head, trying to come up with more to say. However, she couldn't come up with any more questions... at least nothing she could formulate in Nari easily. Her stomach growled quietly, and the Twilight realized she'd forgotten lunch... whoops. She sighed, staring around at the park a little longer, before pushing up reluctantly. "I'm sorry, but I'm needed somewhere... food wise, at least.." she grinned, sad to let the training advantage go, but... there was nothing she could do. She'd planned on having lunch at the Twilight Tower, around now actually, and was expected there... otherwise her food would go cold.

"Well... Goodbye! I hope you fare well... I'm sorry our conversation was so short." The farewell done, she strode away and out of the park, mind still mixing up Nari and Common. Speaking in the two languages always left her a little... confused... at times, but there was nothing she could do. It would be interesting one day to actually try and think completely in the Inartan language, rather than having to constantly translate back and forth. It would make everything much easier.

OOCSorry, but I felt like the thread was ending... you can add a last post or not, then go ahead and submit it for grading :P

The Kelvic sat patiently waiting for the Twilight to say something. She seemed to be wracking her brain for something else to say, presumably in Nari but she didn't seem to be coming up with anything. Chari wondered if she should say something more but she figured that it was better to give the woman a chance to collect her thoughts. It was probably difficult for her to switch to Nari after speaking Common so it was a good idea to give her the chance to work things out herself.

When Jenni did speak, she didn't come out with anything that the girl had expected her to say. She stared at her in surprise, feeling a bit disappointed that their conversation was coming to an end so soon. She'd been really enjoying conversing in her own language, even if it was somewhat limited. It was always nice to meet new people too but their meeting was at an end.

"Oh well it was nice talking to you, Jenni. Maybe we'll bump into each other again one day and we can work a bit more on your Nari," she replied, smiling sadly. She gave a little wave as her companion walked away and chirped after her, "Goodbye!"

Once the other girl was gone, Chari found herself sitting alone once more but she didn't feel like singing or even sitting still anymore. Rising, the Kelvic  decided that a leisurely walk was in order and after that who knew what she'd do?
