Vira shrugged in uncertainty, considering her knees as she replied. "Maybe one day. I would leave it to him as much as fate would allow. But it is what it is, I guess. We will see what the future brings." She offered her friend a forced smile at the dour topic then hurried on to other things to discuss.

When Alori asked her such a forward question, however, the teen was caught completely off-guard. She had taken a sip from the mug and wound up spraying a good bit across the room and onto the broad pane glass that during the day lit the aerie beautifully. "Really? You want to know about that?" She replied incredulously, wiping spittle from her lips and chin as she stared at her friend. The look on Alori's face, however, pretty much confirmed it.

With a sigh and awkward shifting. "Well, I guess it might be different per person, and I've only...only had the two partners." She looked away, rubbing the back of her neck. "But it's kind of wet? And there's lots of friction. And kissing." Vira got a bit of a dreamy look now, her smile slight in reflection. "Lots of kissing. But I guess most of it is just being close with the other. It can be exciting and, uhm...intense; or it can be slow and leisurely. Or a mix of both, I guess. It just depends on the mood."

The endal gave a bit of a laugh as she shifted on the seat. "Our first was kind of awkward, heh. But one you find the rhythym..." She trailed off and grinned at Alori. "What about you? Any special man out there? I don't think you've ever told me about any looove interest."

12th Bell

And that was where the conversation went, joking back and forth about experience or lack there of, talks of new gear at the market, various rumors either of them had heard, until exhaustion took over and demanded they get to bed.

"Hey, Alori-" Vira intoned, getting off the couch finally and stretching, yawning with a hand against her mouth. "You can crash here if you would like. Go fetch a change of clothes. The main room gets cold at night but our bed's big enough." There was nothing intimate about the offer, Vira simply giving her friend somewhere to sleep if she didn't want to go back to the lonely abode she had. Deep down, however, Vira hoped she would stay. The nightmares that still plagued her were always less violent when she was with someone, as Kovac had learned. She didn't shake as much and had stopped screaming, though she still got sick for the ferocity of whatever went on in those dreams. "If the hunt went well, Kovac won't be back until tomorrow. Less dangerous flying in the daylight anyways."

Only after Alori agreed would Vira retreat to the bed chamber. Comfort came, usually, in the nude, but that would be too weird for them, and so Vira swapped out her bryda for a simple shift that hung to her mid-thigh. The material was light and airy and typically a part of another outfit that was worn on outings.

She set to work extinguishing the various candles and braziers then until all but the bedroom was dark, the weak light of night filtered through Mohya and her mates aerie, casting eerie shadows across the room. Vira said her good nights to the birds then, offering Tulaj a treat but receiving a spoiled-bird nip instead. "Stubborn git..." She chastised him then turned away, heading for the bedroom and climbing onto Kovac's side. It was time to sleep at last. Having had the talks with Alori, Vira genuinely felt better. Maybe she would bring the concern up with Kovac when he came home tomorrow.

These thoughts filled her head and helped soothe her nightmares just a little bit as she faded off into sleep, passing a murmured "Night." off to her friend and sister.

Mohya was not pleased with the decision of the man and shifted on restless feet. She considered staying for a time longer, but eventually ceded his concern that his work was accounted for and left, pressing on his mind that she would get a Dek to take the harness off at the Nesting Aeries. It was less work and less waiting. Kovac could make the hike on his own.

[Ivory Aerie] Pillow Talk (Kovac, Alori)

Alori could tell that Lavira was trying to be strong, even in the face of uncertainty. She was Inartan, and a proud woman who thought she knew best. Alori could relate, they seemed to have that mindset in common, but she just hoped that things worked out for her friends, she really believed they deserved each other.

The teen hadn't expected such and open answer from her sister, but the question was something that they could talk about. She knew this, had seen other women discussing that very thing and so it didn't seem to out there for her to ask this of someone she was close to. Alori respected the honest answer Lavira gave, knowing that she probably considered it a very private matter. Alori smiled, seeing the look in her sister's eyes and she knew that the woman had to be thinking of Kovac.

"Awww, that is sooo sweet. I'm happy for you Vira."

The curious little Endal started to ask in which category was she and Kovac in when it came to style and frisk, but even she couldn't ask that with a straight face. Instead she just smiled and combed her hair back behind her right ear. "The rhythm, Vira? Really?" she giggle at the thought and lightly bit her lip. "Must be amazing." It was her turn now to answer personal questions, but sadly she didn't have much to offer.

"I don't have anyone, really. I mean, you know guys right? They want to take you home but, that's not the same. Not like what you and Kovac have."

12th Bell

The conversation continued, and Alori would tell Lavira as much as she could stand to hear about horny guys in and out of the dance club. Talking about gear was something else she could go on about as she liked to compare what she had to other hunters, just in case she needed to do better.

"Yea, okay. A sleep over sounds good. Oh and I don't snore, at least I don't think I do." Getting up off the couch, Alori stumbled a foot because her legs had gotten numb. She hoped Lavira didn't see her little trip and if she did, the huntress would laugh it off. She headed into the room where Skye was to give him a night's snack before she turned in. The moment that she opened the door, the gyrfalcon squawked loudly just so that she knew how he felt about waiting.

"Stop it Skye, you're being a baby."

Like always the moment he had the food in his beak, the gyrfalcon stopped his whining and ate his food. Once she said goodnight to him, Alori headed into Lavira's bedroom. The teen didn't bother to dress down and simply removed her boots and bryda and laid across the bed. Sleeping in her top and undergarments was how she slept at home, and she didn't see the need to change. Lavira had said that Kovac wouldn't be back until the next day so it was just the two of them. "Night." she replied and buried herself under the sheets and dozed off.

Kovac did not think that Mohya would wait. She had only carried him that day as a favor to Lavira, and the eagle had done her duty. It had been a long, cold day, and even the Avora could not blame the giant raptor for abandoning him for the comfort of her aerie. Once the hunter ensured his kills were properly documented, he made his way back home. The walk was long and tedious, his muscles aching, his mind exhausted.

Finally slipping through the door to the Ivory Aerie, Kovac took care to be quiet. His gear was simply laid by the door to be cleaned and put away the next morning. The light in the aerie was dim, but Kovac knew the layout, and moved around the furniture to cross to the bedroom. Once inside, he shed his boots and all of his clothes. Had it been an earlier hour, the Avora would have bathed, but Kovac barely had the energy to peel off his garments and collapse into bed.

In the obscure illumination, he saw Lavira tucked into her side of the bed, her long hair splayed in a muss across her face. Kovac padded over to her, leaning down and brushing the hair from her cheek. He leaned down and pressed a kiss to the soft skin, his hand slipping beneath the covers to playfully caress her bottom. Expecting bare skin, his hand discovered she was wearing an undergarment, which was unusual for Lavira when she slept.

"I'm home." He whisered into her ear, noting she smelled slightly different than usual as well.

Vira shifted in her sleep, the need to relieve herself suddenly strong. With a grudging sigh, the woman threw the covers off of her and sat up, rubbing a hand across her face as her feet touched the cool stone of the cave floor. Then, standing slowly, she made her way out of the room, stubbing her toe once against the door and cursing under her breath before leaving the chamber to go to the chamber. There was a small alcove inside the bathing room that let one relieve themselves in private, which Vira took full advantage of now.

She had not felt Mohya return while she was asleep but the endal was vaguely aware of her presence now and wondered if Kovac had made it in yet. In the warmth of the bathing room, the continuing cadence of the bath water bubbling in its containment covered the sound of Kovac's arrival (that and she was still half asleep). She did not hear the soft tinkle of his gear being left at the door or his feet on the floor as they went to the bedroom, or even the murmured words not to her, but to Alori.

Vira simply finished her business, cleaned up, and rinsed her hands. Then it was the slow shuffle back to the bedroom. Her mind didn't register the shadow that hung over Alori as she slipped back into the bed, facing where she usually slept this time, and pulled the covers back over herself, murmuring in a sleep-thickened voice, "Mm'ya's home..."

Sleeping in the same bed with another was something new for Alori, and sleeping in a bed so large was also something she was still getting used to. She slept on her side as she normally did, arms and legs tucked in as if there was no bedding behind or in front of her. The teen slept light on this night, her mind lost somewhere between the world of dreams and the real one.

Alori didn't pay any attention to the movement on the bed when Kovac crawled towards her. Somewhere in her half conscious mind, she remembered that she was sleeping at Lavira's and that must have been who was on the bed. She stumbled closer to a deeper sleep, her mind going blank as she felt the kiss upon her cheek. Alori smiled a bit, and released a soft sigh of pleasure from the hand gently rubbing her backside.

It was what she would imagine it to be like for lovers. One coming home to greet the other while they slept and giving them gentle loving so that they knew they were home. The sleeping teen remembered suddenly that she wasn't in such a relationship. She wasn't even home, she was sleeping at a friend's and unless Lavira had more love for her than she thought, something strange was happening. Hazel eyes flashed open and Alori turned to look behind her, unknowingly rolling herself right into Kovac's arms.

"Hah, petch!"

The comedy of error continued as Kovac caressed the wrong woman, fatigued mind overlooking the clues that could have saved him. All he wanted was to curl up against the woman he loved, feel her warmth against his weary cold body and snuggle until he fell asleep. Only when Lavira slipped back into the room, and into bed, did the Avora start. There was that moment when, for a split tick, his brain was jangled by the inconsistency between what he saw and he thought was. There were two women! The muttered greeting of the half-sleeping Lavira identified the new arrival as his lover. Then who? The Avora looked down through the dimness to the person whose bottom he was still rubbing. Then the woman rolled over in surprise, and into Kovac's waiting arms.

The face that stared up at him was all too familiar. Alori! His emerald gaze grew wide, mouth opening but words failing to come out. Kovac's hand had become twisted in Alori's underwear when she spun around, and he tugged helplessly trying to free his offending limb.

"Shyke! Alori!! What...how..."
Kovac's gaze darted over to Lavira in shock, then back to their friend as he realized his hand still rested against her groin. He struggled to free himself from the teenager's undergarment without touching her anywhere sensitive. "What are you doing in my, our bed? Oh gods, I am sorry I...I touched you and..." Kovac finally freed his hand from Alori's panties. How ridiculous he must have appeared, the randy Avora panic-stricken to get his hands out of a woman's pants. Then Kovac laughed at himself.

The woman was just about to drift back into that almost-sleep state when a shout snapped her out of it, eyes flying open but all she saw was darkness. Blinking, she tried to push away the fogginess of sleep to see more clearly and realized she was laying on her left side, meaning she'd not be able to see in the first place! Her good eye was pressed into the pillow, effectively blinding her.

Then, the effeminate expletive was hastily accompanied by a more masculine cry and for a panicked moment, Vira thought someone had snuck into her home and was harming her sister! She didn't have time to process what she saw heard to what she was seeing as the teen sat up and shouted at the figure, her leg muscles tense with adrenaline. The figure was crouched over Alori, his hand doing something unseen but what looked quite inappropriate from her vantage.

"Hey asshole!" She cried, grabbing the pillow and flinging it at him before leaping after it. It was an awkward jump and she may have kicked Alori in the process as she lunged across the bed to knock the man away a tick before he managed to disentangle himself as well. "Get off'a her, you shyke!" Only vaguely did she have an idea who it was, but the teen figured Kovac would have come straight from the eagles part of the aerie to their room, not from the front door to here!

If her lunge went well, Kovac would hopefully be knocked off his feet with her atop him, a very angry young woman ready to pummel a rapist in her apartments. "Petching hurt her? I'll petching hurt you, you hear me?!"

Alori squealed louder, the familiarity in Kovac's voice fallen on death ears as she tried to back peddle against the bed. It was useless, the girl had nowhere to go and with the snarky Avora's hand fidgeting about inside her undergarments, Alori ended up falling back onto the bed, and turning her body away from him as she tried to pull free of his advancing fingers. "Get off me!" Even though Kovac was only trying to free himself, it felt completely different beneath the covers where she couldn't see.

When he started to speak again, and the teen had reached under the sheets herself to try and move his hand, Alori finally recognized his voice. But before it could fully register, an awkward foot smacked her across her forehead as Lavira dived on her attacker. "Ouch!"she cried as her head snapped to one side, and with the intruder's hand done with it's roaming, she pushed further away and almost fell off the bed herself.

"Vira!" Alori called out as she pulled herself back onto the bed and scurried towards the end to see what happened to the other two. "Vira! Did you get him?" Glancing down, the teen saw her sister atop the mystery attacker, but in the shadows leveling off the end of the bed, she couldn't make out his face. The whole thing was confusing, and now she wasn't sure if it was Kovac or not. "Vira?"

Chaos erupted in the dark bedroom. Only the Avora hunter knew what was going on, too late to stop himself from practically fondling Alori, and appearing as an assailant to Lavira. The incident could have been humorous, had the misunderstanding been discovered after the innocent misplaced kiss. But with the violation of his hand and the awkward entrapment in her underwear, coupled with his lack of identification, the whole thing turned into a very unpleasant affair.

Kovac's attempts to free himself from the twist of Alori's underwear only became hindered when she reached down to try and jerk the offending hand free. A pillow bounced off of his face a tick before Lavira came sailing over the bed, cursing like a Dek, the full weight of her petite body colliding into his. They both careened off of the bed, Kovac's hand ripping free of Alori's clothes. The Avora landed on his back with a solid, painful thud, forcing a loud 'oof' from the man. He looked up, stunned at his fiery one-eyed lover, hearing the adrenaline fueled rage in her vile threats.

"Wait, wait, Vira its me, its me!" He yelped, trying to capture her wrists in his hands before she laid into her bedmate with fury. "Alori," he looked towards the shadow of the bed, "its me, Kovac!" Kovac rushed to identify himself to the startled women, before one of them hit him, or worse.

Vira blinked as the figure beneath her cried out, pleading for her to wait. The fog of sleep in her mind was starting to lift and she hesitated with the raised fist until finally lowering it until it rested open upon his chest, the woman squinting in the dimness to try and see who it was. But the darkness in their bedroom was still too much and hid him too well.

However, when he proclaimed who he was, the young endal blanched and slid backwards, swinging her leg off of him so that she was sitting on her knees next to the man. "Good gods, you scared the fire out of me, Kovac!" She said, rubbing at her eyes with her left hand in a vain attempt at ridding them of sleep. Grabbing for the bed now, the young woman pulled herself to her feet and went to sit beside where Alori was laying peeking out over the edge of the bed at the pair, massaging her side habitually and grumbling. "I thought you were...someone bad." The thought of 'rapist' was horrible and Vira did not want to associate that with him, ever.

The darkness in the room was invasive and Vira closed her eyes against it, welcoming the blindness that it brought for once instead of repulsed by it. With her eyes shut, she could hear the other sounds in the aerie, from the soft whisper of water in the bathing chamber to the low chirps and churrs of the four raptors that lived here too. The heavy breaths of her comrades was the loudest, a low and rhythmic thump-thud accompanying the noise that helped to wake her a little more. Taking a breath, she opened both eyes and canted her head towards Alori first. "You okay? I think I accidentally kicked you when I leapt." She said in apology before turning her attention back onto Kovac.

Vira took a breath and frowned at her lover, mouth going crooked as she tried to find the right words. She didn't want to assume what she thought she'd seen, but it honestly looked a great deal like what she thought it had looked like. Of course, that was before she realized the figure was not, in fact, a rapist, and only Kovac. "I'm going to pretend what you were doing was an honest accident, Kovac...but could you explain why you didn't come in with Mohya? I felt her bells ago. What took you so long to follow?" The bed sheets wrinkled beneath her as her hands came to rest at their edges, one finger tapping in such a way that reflected her order-bound nature. "Did the processing center hold you up?"
