Kovac exercised reserve as he kissed Alori, sensing her inexperience, and resisted pressing further against her. The huntress accepted his advance without flinching, even instinctively parting the soft pillows of her lips that allowed the kiss to deepen. The hunter lifted a hand to gently lay against her smooth cheek, carefully guiding her head into more of a tilt, so they fit together better, like puzzle pieces.
Kovac allowed the tip of his tongue to run across Alori's parted lips, but intruded no further. He wanted to kiss her more fully, the casual friendship and her youthful attraction drawing the hunter to the huntress. But he sensed a fragility as well, at least when it came to Alori and being with a boy. Something seemed to resonate within Kovac when it came to Alori, something he could not put his finger on, but it tugged at him, encouraged him to nurture this friendship, and not stain it by dragging the girl to bed.
So he retreated, just a breath, to look into her eyes and gauge whether the kiss was welcomed or not. He smiled his ornery boyish smile. "You do that well, quite naturally." He complimented.
