Serynia has the look of a typical Konti female. She has pale blond wavy hair that goes to the back of her waist and deep blue-grey eyes. Her skin is the color of pale alabaster and she has a slender and graceful figure. Most men are entranced by her beautiful and delicate features. Her Konti scales shimmer an irridescent white and she bears the gnosis mark from birth of Rak'keli, a twisted swirling sigil in shimmering opal on her left shoulder. Although almost approaching adulthood in Konti years, she looks to be only a teenager of fifteen or sixteen years old.

Character Concept

Personality - Serynia is a bit reserved and aloof at first with strangers but with her close friends, which are but a few, she is very talkative and lively. She is very intelligent and was always an attentive student learning Medicine and Herbalism since she wanted to be a healer like her mother. Although she looks fragile, she is tougher than she looks and had been taught at an early age to be independent. Her love of the outdoors means that she is quite physically active and athletic. She also had a keen interest in learning magic and divination which was instilled in her from her grandmother who had traveled the world as a wizard and seer. Like her grandmother, she has a yearning for travel and adventure that sets her a bit apart from most other Konti women. And while Serynia usually chooses to avoid confrontation, being unfailingly polite in most situations, she is not a pushover and will stand up for herself and fight when absolutely necessary. Some of her flaws are that is she is impatient, stubborn, messy, usually not punctual, and hates to admit when she is wrong.

Ethics - Her mother taught her the moral and ethical values of her people. She is generally very law abiding and chooses right over wrong. She would never harm or kill anyone unless in self defense or in defense of others who are weaker.

Religion - Serynia worships the twin goddesses of the Konti Isle, Avalis (goddess of Divination) and Rak'Keli (goddess of healing). She also has great respect for Laviku (god of the sea), Eyris (goddess of wisdom and knowledge), Yahal (god of faithfulness and purity), and Tyveth (god of honor and justice).

Likes - She has a love of learning all things and is very interested in building her skills in different areas. She also has an eye for aesthetics and beauty and is appreciative of the arts such as painting, dancing, singing, etc.

Dislikes - She has a hatred of all slavers. Generally she tries to avoid those who are arrogant, egotistical, narcissistic, immature, or selfish. She can't stand those who are racist or materialistic either.

Character History

Serynia was born in Mura and raised by her mother, Elwyn who was a healer in the Opal Order. Her father was a Syliran knight who would often come to visit every few years. It was her father who taught her to be independent and taught her rudimentary skills in areas such as riding and swordplay. She was also influenced by her grandmother who was a wandering wizard who gave her basic training in Reimancy and Shielding so she could defend herself against other wielders of djed.

One day her mother had a vision that her father was in imminent danger and so the both of them traveled to Syliras with a trading caravan. When they arrived, they were informed that her father had vanished a few days earlier. That very evening her mother was killed by a Nuit wizard who had been following them ever since they entered the city. Her mother's dying words to Serynia were to find her father. Angry and alone, she has vowed to avenge her mother's death.

Gnosis

Healing Gnosis from Rak'keli - 1 mark given at birth

Healers can close shallow wounds, cure headaches and common colds, ease strained or tense muscles, and take care of minor rashes, allergies and depression. They can also deal effectively with snake bites, insect bites, and skin irritation due to plants such as poison ivy, and heal minor bruising. Healers with a singular gnosis mark can also purify deeper wounds with their touch, improving sanitation and eliminating the threat of dangerous wounds going septic or developing infection.

Konti Gift

Prized Possession Sense - Like all the Konti, Serynia was blessed with a gift from Avalis. On skin to skin contact with someone, Serynia is able to get a vision or sense of which item is their most prized possession. This could be a family heirloom that has sentimental value or their most favorite weapon or book.
