Feather Run

Purpose:
This pavilion houses all of the greatest hunters and archers in all of Endrykas. While the archers at the War Pavilion specialize in certain styles of archery, Emerald Clan Archers focus on techniques that serve them best during hunts. Ways to shoot an arrow without making a sound, quick drawing arrows from a quill, and many other helpful tools of the trade.

This is mainly a merchant's' pavilion for the purchase of archery weaponry, but some novice training is also offered here upon request for beginner archers.

If you would like to purchase anything from the price list, please do so as a self-modded post in this thread. All regular purchases can be completed without a mod. If you would like a custom weapon made either with magic or with special items, please post your request to Endrykas Storyteller Office

Yrpa walked into the store, knowing that she couldn't survive alone if she hadn't got a bow witch she could use in multiple situation, since she had grown up with the use of bow in hunting and was concidered quite the shot.

She looked around and saw a collection of many beautiful bows, but noticing how expencive they all were, she finally settles with a shortbow costing 20 GM and 20 arrows for shortbow for 1 GM

Yrpa walkes to the counter, smiles politely at the man behind it, puts 21 GM on the table and walkes out, quite happy with the buy.

Timestamp: 25th day of Fall, 510AV
Vanator had slipped away towards the Emerald Clan compound to visit Feather Run. He did not spend time perusing, though he would have liked to examined the specialty arrows that were displayed by various merchants. He found what he really came for quite easily.

A short bow for Khiara. He found one of simple design, purely functional and designed for a beginner. Van did carefully select one with quality. Afer all, his new wife's life may depend upon it one day. With the merchant's permission, he strung the bow then raised it up and drew back on the string. It was not as powerful as his bow, being of a lower pull weight, which was perfect for Khiara. Selecting a bundle of arrows, Vanator laid out the gold required for the purchase. Wrapping the bow in a cloth, and dropping the arrows in a worn quiver he borrowed from his cousin, Vanator headed back towards his Pavilion.

Day 12, Winter, Year 510 AV
She was amazed by this pavillion, all the weapons, some exotic, some small, some light, some heavy, some intricate, some basic… they were all beautiful.

She knew what she wanted. A bow, a nice long ranged weapon, and she wuld need to train herself how to use it. And if worst came to worse, she’d need a weapon she could use at close combat. But not a dagger… she hated daggers.

She was stuck between a longbow and a shortbow… she knew the longbow had faster firing but less power, but the longbow was the opposite. But then she thought if you don’t get good power in your shots, whats the point of firing at all?

She purchased a longbow for 60 gold mizas. I lovely brown one, nice and strong. She also purchased 20 longbow arrows, for her ammunition.

Now all she had to do was train the thing…

So with that, she set off.

Season of Summer, Day 2, Year 511 AV

Drao entered the Pavillion with one goal in mind, he needed arrows to use with his father's shortbow, and these people had just what he needed. After perusing the wares that were offered, several of which kept his attention for several moments, he finally spoke.

"I would like two bundles of shortbow arrows please," he said with a smile. Shortly after the two bundles, forty arrows in all, were given to him. He handed over the 2GM that they costed and gave a curtious nod before he turned and left.

Alistair walked into the Feather Run, looking around at the selection of weapons used for hunting. He figured while he was in Endrykas, he might as well get some practice with a bow. Everyone who knew him knew he needed it. To him, his terrible aim was something he was ashamed of, especially being a member of the Emerald clan.

After looking at a few of them, he took down a simply shortbow. He also grabbed two quivers of arrows, one he would use for training, the other when he left at the end of Winter. He paid for his purchase before leaving the pavilion.

60th of Winter, 511

Ever since she had left home, Nehsmay had had a limited amount of arrows. Her mother had been able to give her 50 of her father's old arrows and those had been the one she had used. She had fought madly to keep them from being lost, always trying to retrieve them when she could. However, the trip had been long and by the time she had reached Endrykas she was down to 10 arrows.

Looking around in the Feather Run she noticed they had all kinds of arrows... fire arrows, short-bow arrows, longbow arrows, flight arrows, whistling arrows whatever those were. Nodding to herself, Nehsmay decided that 40 short-bow arrows and 20 flight arrows would be enough for her. Taking 5 gm from her pocket she paid and took her arrows. Now, she was one step closer to leaving Endrykas and heading down her road.

Zoonnith enters the weapon shop, “if I hadn’t broke my bow there would be no need of being here.” He mutters to himself as he browses through all the types of arrows for sale. “What non-sense, having to spend yet another 20gm, if my hunts do not start looking up again I may need to find a job ... SCREW THAT!!” the whole shop looked at him.

Embarrassed Zoonnith began examining the bows. The short bow was fast and weak, while the long bow was strong but slow. The long bow may penetrate deeper, with the possibility of one killing a beast, but you have to be rather skilled to know exactly where to shoot each beast. On the other hand it will take multipul short bow shots, but eventually everything will bleed out with enough hits. Finally he decided the price difference in the two was not worth the extra power at his skill level. “1 short bow and 20 short bow arrows."

“Will that be everything?” the clerk as he turns to fetch the bow

“On second thought give me 40 short bow arrows” Zoonnith paused “and 20 flight arrows as well" Zoonnith hands the 25gm to the clerk and takes his equipment, sliding the bow over his shoulder as he left the shop.

30 Spring, 513 A.V
Afternoon

After coming from Garthos Supply, Ran would stop by Feather Run with Topaz. Having the horse with all the recently bought items wait outside, as he entered and browsed the items the store had in stock. Deciding on what to get, he would take the items to the table at where the owner stood. Allowing him to estimate the total, before giving him the Gold Miza's and taking the arrows and bow outside. Placing the knife into his belt, before placing the arrows in his quiver resting on Topaz as he would go back to his tent for a bit.

Heavily lashed eyes opened wide as she surveyed all that was placed before her. Her hands lightly drifted over the bows and arrows as well as lightly brushing the sling and the bullets. She had need of a weapon, the sling from her youth as well as any weapons she had been granted by her pavillion had perished over the years. A sling would be a welcome treat. She had used one as a youth, but over the years her knowledge of the weapon had faded. In time, she supposed she would regain that knowledge.

Then she examined a javelin. She had never used the thin throwing spear, but the price tag was low. She needed spears to hunt, did she not, and she had no other particularly valuable skills. She was an able rider, but her horsemanship lagged behind that skill. She couldn't deny the feeling that she would run low on food if she didn't get a job, and soon at that. She picked up the javelin and the sling, as well as two sets of ten sling bullets.

"I'll be taking these," she informed the shopkeep, placing two gold miza on the table. She accepted the change of seven gold miza and left the shop. She mounted Komali when she returned, putting the sling and the bullets in her pack and awkwardly gripping the Javelin as she left.
