Hey there, Mizahar! Returning player here, looking to play a slave PC.
Here's the story: I've never really been interested in "assassin" type characters, simply for the fact that I, too, have had to suffer those people that play people with "unmatched skill in the art of death" while only having L1 or L2 in relevant skills. However, I did read Gillar's PSA on the subject, and the setdown of tangible, achievable requirements got me thinking. I decided that I wanted to see if I actually could get all those requirements down and play a realistic, well-developed assassin character.
Now, the next thing I needed to figure out was where in the world I could learn such specialized skills as those needed to become an assassin, since I've always thought it's a bit of a stretch for someone to learn it all by themselves. Someone would need wealth far beyond that of a starting character for any sort of formalized education, and then they would need some way to get access to the upper class that they wish to pay for this line of work, establish a reputation and then work to maintain that reputation to get a regular income. It's a very tricky puzzle, and I think that because it's so complicated is why I get so annoyed when I find someone just skipping it like these things magically arrange themselves.
Thinking on what needed to get done, I decided that one of the most logical ways to begin would be in slavery to someone with wealth. A business owner would be ideal. This owner would be able to provide access to knowledge, or at least some safety for my character to figure things out on her own and refine them. My character, in turn, would use these skills to benefit her master, starting her career by picking off business rivals, obtaining information, generally being an all-around asset, and maybe even getting hired out to others if she gets good enough. What happens after that is entirely open; maybe she escapes and begins freelancing, maybe she remains for ever and ever, maybe something else happens entirely. Really what I'm looking for right now is a place to begin.
In terms of the character itself, my details are up in the air at the moment and will be refined once I figure out where exactly I'm going to start. The only things I know for certain is that my character will be female, she will be somewhere in adolescence and she will be either Zith or half Zith. Not sure how that would affect how expensive she is, but it would be easy enough for her to be a troublesome slave to her sellers so they let her go at a reduced price. If this happens, she could very well view her new master as her savior and therefore be completely and utterly loyal. On top of that, her racial nature makes her instinctively desire bloodshed, which should make training her easy enough.
If this sounds like something you would be interested, throw me a PM or post here and we can talk.
