Oh how she regretted speaking out. Now it seemed she was mixed up in the middle of all of it. Alcahol was already making her stupid and careless about what she said to others. She could feel a warm buzz, It would seem she’d had just the right amount to make her cheerful. It surprised her how calmly the young woman reacted to the kiss. Maybe she was being biased. After all, if any guy kissed her it would be very uncomfortable, however if it was a woman… well, maybe she could live with it. Although that chance would surely be decreased if she smelt like alcohol and was stupidly drunk.
Kylina replied to her comment in Nari almost immediately to which Billie responded by putting up her hands in a mock surrender “Right, right. Excuse me.” She said dismissively, trying to get out of what could be a possible argument even though there were many things she wanted to say about the nature of the kiss.
She turned back to the Symenestra. Billie nearly chuckled when she heard what he had to say, it was almost laughable. She was definitely not to sort to rat someone out. Her opinion on weather or not he was doing the ‘right thing’ was irrelevant. He was the one taking chances, not her. Coming from Sunberth where there was no one to report anything too, one learnt to mind their own business. “Good Evening to you.” She replied “And your business is your business. I am not a knight and I’m not going to go out of my way to speak to one.” She looked him up and down with narrowed eyes “However, if you ever try to steal from me, it will be a different story” She said, deliberately making her voice sound calm and sweet, her eyes communicating the underlying threat beneath her words. “Names Billie, by the way. You’re Valdoran, if I caught it right.” She asked the Sym “And you are Kylina… er…” She looked at the other boy “I’ve forgotten your name, I’m afraid”
Billie sighed and leaned back in her chair finished the rest of her wine. She pushed the glass away and made a mental note not to drink any more around this thief. Who knew what he’d manage to take from her, and worse still, who knew what kind of things she’d give away about herself.
