Orabelle began petting the large Imperial watcher and didn't even know it. She was really trying to listen to what Kavala was telling her."Back at my pod a large baby meant it was healthy,"Her smile faded a but when mentioning her pod,"It also meant we ate good for the pass seasons." She cringed a bit and began to miss her pod. There was really no reason for her to leave it, maybe because she wanted adventure, a lover and, many other things that involved her own selfish needs drawn her away from the pods. But out here, not on the sea, it's almost corrupted who Orabelle really is."I hope to survive, I would really love to be apart of a child's life. I'd do anything to deliver a healthy baby but I'd also do anything to survive. I am svefra and ephyrian and I heard they were most fragile. I don't think being both human and ephyrian will strengthen me." Orabelle tried to plaster a smile on her face. But she hated being a mixed blood. But she'd rather be a mixed blood than just a regular human."Kavala, if I were to ever become pregnant and deliver an akalak child, would you be there to assure I am safe?"
"I believe they're all good. Besides... ya know." Orabelle chimed in once she mentioned the akalaks."But I believe they're hiding something." She frowned when Kavala mentioned how they couldn't help but love the women who carry their children. Please do not tell me that. Orabelle thought to herself. That would make her feel guilty. It was vice versa for her. She would be afraid to die before they do and would try so hard not to love them either. Orabelle's childhood involved watching her parents resist loving each other. Although they've split when she was very young, mentioning the others name was like shooting an arrow through their heart and then tearing it out. Orabelle would try so hard to avoid falling in love. But most of the people she met in Riverfall have so much love for one another.
"I agree with you. I wouldn't either to be stuck with a man who would even consider the fact that you're pregnant, but just want someone to come home to and put all their stress on." Orabelle smiled and took a quick look around again."You did the right thing too! Look at what all you have!" Orabelle threw her hands up."This... it's all wonderful, I mean probably a lot of work but at the end of the day, this is all yours." She still had a smile until hearing that Kavala was a raid survivor." So they saved you and automatically you owed your life? They should've allowed you to find your way around. Soon a man would've swooned you."
She began liking the larger female. The very big dog look ready for anything, her head would quickly move, even when she heard the slightest noise. Orabelle knew she still wanted the silkena. The dog was beautiful and when she ran it was sort of a prance. If she were to ever start a family, Orabelle would get a dog to comfort herself and then another dog to protect and meet her children's need, urges to play and fight.
"So the imperial watchers are great for kids?" Orabelle asked."Well... I suppose both are great for kids. There both beautiful, I can't help but love them both. I sadly didn't even think about getting an imperial watcher but I love how calm she is." Orabelle brushed some hair back and used both hands to pet the dog.
"Act like you mean business." Orabelle nodded, repeating what Kavala had just said. Orabelle took a step back. She wanted to whistle like Kavala just did, but Orabelle didn't know how too. Instead she made a clicking noise that they used on the pod's ship when it was time for the children to help out or eat. The fratavan noise consisted of a few words like sister, brother, babies and love ones. It sounded like someone had gargle salt water and than began to spray it little by little.
The dogs heads cocked to the side. They didn't know what that just was but slowly began to respond. Ears low, tails tucked between their legs. Orabelle patted her knees and they went back to themselves, running towards her and than heeling at her feet."I did it!" Orabelle cheered as she began brushing the top of their heads.
