"We talk to him," Shakune said. "Or, at least say something."

"Alright," Logan said. "I'll be right behind you."

Logan stayed exactly on her tail as Shakune hobbled to the man. He had let go of his grip that had kept Shakune steady to focus on his main goal. Anything happens, jump in and bust some heads. He repeated this to himself while they stood in front of the bulky target.

He was big, silent, and very intimidating. He noticed Logan only once, but paid great attention to Shakune who did all the talking.

The man accepted Shakune's paper and scribbled something that looked more like a drawing than a signature. Well this guy is obviously illiterate, Logan thought. Maybe the letter will have pictures for him to read.

Shakune thanked the man in a low mummer that made Logan want to chuckle, but he stopped himself. He kept an intimidating look on his face to look tough and also not to offend the apparent testosterone filled men.

With much effort Shakune walked away on her own. Thanks to his medical expertise, Logan could tell that her movements where shrouded in pain. He wanted to do something to help her again, but he had other worries.

As Logan walked slowly behind Shakune, he turned just in time to see the big boss signal his man.

Well... Petch, he thought as he began to quicken his pace. As smooth as he could, Logan would grab Shakune's right hand and place it over his shoulder. He would grab her waste again and force Shakune not to stop walking if she even thought about it. If this would make her fall then he would help her up quickly before she could even hit the ground.

"Gonna have to pick up our pace Ms. Say Something. We got trouble. Don't walk on your leg, just hop. I got you so you won't fall," Logan would say.

Almost running, Logan would turn with Shakune to the next corner, then the next alley way. The alley would be small, but large enough for at least two people to fit side by side.

Logan would stop moving once they made it to the alley and keep Shakune away from the opening but close to him. Logan would be close to the opening, his back to the wall and waiting for the nearest trouble.

"Shh," he would silently say to Shakune and place one finger to his lips so that she would understand.

oocSorry for the delay! RL is a bugger ._.

Shakune glanced to Logan with growing panic in her black eyes. "What?" She'dd heard what he had said perfectly: gonna have to pick up our pace, but what she didn't understand was why. Turning her head, she noticed the squattish male stalking after them, and Shakune did not have to rack her brains to think where she recognised him from. "Shyke!" She whispered huskily, snapping her head back forward before looking back up to Logan.

"Where to? It's a bit late to hide." Regardless of her worries, she did indeed begin to hop, clutching at her bodyguard for support and also - even more embarrassingly - for comfort as well. He had done this before, she presumed.

He led her into an alleyway, far down into it so she could barely see the opening they had just walked down. Before she could ask the hundreds of questions that frantically fought their way onto her tongue, Logan silenced her with a shh and a finger pressed to his lips. Shakune frowned, pouted, folded her arms. She wouldn't look too dissimilar to a moody child, but nevertheless she remained moodily quiet.

Their follower had seen them disappear down the alleyway, and now he gave a toothless grin. Should he wait them out, like hunters did with foxes or rabbits? Or perhaps he should chase them down to the dead-end of the alleyway? "Choices, choices." Her murmered in this thick, gruff voice. For a chime he considered his options, before turning down and starting to walk down the alleyway. "My boss didn't like that letter, love. I reckon you should come out and apologise to him."

Shakune winced at the artificial sweetness of his voice. She had heard that tone before, from a slaver who she had later stabbed with a dagger. Her skin broke out into a clammy sweat at the memory. She hobbled up to face the opening the alleyway, but Shakune felt as thought she was moving through sand or treacle. Her limbs struggled to move against some invisible force that seemed hell-bent on making her feel weak and useless.

Now he was turning a corner in the alley, but the grunt came to a sharp stop when he saw Logan. For a tick, the thick muscleman was confused. Of course he remembered the younger male from Shakune delivery mere chimes ago, but he had not expected anyone to seemingly risk their lives for a stupid courier. He scratched his bald head, spat on the floor before delivering the eloquent question: "Ey? Who’re you?"

Life Laydown [Shakune]

OOCIt is alright. Life has me in its grasps as well. This might be the last fast reply you get from me, lol.

Shakune folded her arms and pouted when Logan told her to be quiet. She reminded him of a toddler who was told to stay still but did not want to stay still. He raised a brow to that and watched her for a little while, preparing for a moment when she fought against his way of protection. She seemed to be cooperative so far, but Logan knew nothing of what she would do in the future.

While Logan was focused on Shakune, it came suddenly, the distant sounds of footsteps. As he listened, it seemed that the footsteps began to grow closer. Someone was around the corner, walking from the entrance of the alleyway to Logan and Shakune's position.

He leaned forward past the wall to see who it was that came their way. The shadow to the buildings prevented him from seeing the person's face, but he could tell that the figure was male. Could it be one of the same male that was a bodyguard for Shakune's client?

Then the male spoke, "My boss didn't like that letter, love. I reckon you should come out and apologise to him." He said it so gently, yet so intimidatingly. It was hard to know for sure if this man would allow Shakune to go free or kill her on the spot.

So they were followed. Logan's heart pounded hard while his mind went to work. There was nowhere else to run. Apparently, Logan had picked the only alley that had one opening. The other was blocked off by a building. Shakune and Logan where trapped.

He listened close to the man's footsteps. One and then another foot dropped, but only one and then the other. This signified that the man was alone, even though Logan saw a total of three men near the Mohawk mans side. Maybe he was actually alone, or maybe the others were waiting on the opening.

Logan was devising a plan to deal with the man without possibly summoning his friends when Shakune moved past him. She leaned to get a better look at the enemy herself with nothing but terror as her friend. Sweat was pouring down her pores from what Logan could assume was her fear. When she wouldn't move any further to catch a glimpse of the man, Logan grabbed her arm and gently guided her away from the edge. Just when he did that the man showed himself.

The man was tall, his tooth seemed to be missed at the front, and he was incredibly bald. No doubt the effect of raging testosterone. The man stared at the woman then Logan. He especially took a moment to look at Logan before he spat and said, "Ey? Who-"

Logan didn't hear the rest, he didn't need to hear the rest. Because the moment when the man turned his eyes away from Logan to spit, he had gone on the move. Logan gained a distance closer to the man, lifted up his right foot, and stomped it with the full intentions of hitting the mans nut sack.

When he did land the hit he would move away, not to allow his opponent the chance to heal, but to measure the distance and needed power for his next attack. When he was ready, which wouldn't take a long time, Logan moved to his enemy again and gave the man a left high knee kick, this time aiming for the bottom chin.

If this attack hit, the mans brain would be sent on a warpath inside his head. It would knock into every part of the mans inside skull, and also knock him out. The mans eyes would role back and he would fall to the ground, beaten into a coma.

When the man was done for, Logan took a breather. He turned to Shakune, who was still probably frantic from this event. He would then turn to the edge of the alley and think. There could be more. More men could be waiting for them at the end of the alley, maybe with weapons with as well. Logan needed a warrior with him, not a frightened woman who could do nothing but freeze on the spot. He needed someone who knew what should be done when something needed to be done. Logan needed a tough SOB.

He sighed. I make sacrifices for my work, huh.

Logan would walk to Shakune. He would take her arm first to let her know that he wasn't going to harm her. If she was very frantic to the point of panicking, he didn't want her to lose control. He then placed one thumb on her chin and lifted her head up to see how she was. He wanted to see her facial expression, read the woman's feelings from the black void in her eyes. When he would see something in her, he would suddenly wrap one arm fully around her waste, roughly pull her to him, then he would kiss her, his lips touching hers.

Life Laydown [Shakune]

Postby Shakune on April 2nd, 2015, 9:40 am

Shakune couldn't see what happened when Logan stalked away from her. But she heard several thumps, the dull sounds of skin-to-skin contact that made her wince. She continued to stare numbly at the brick wall opposite her, hoping silently that Logan was dealing with the thug, and not the other way round.

Her leg throbbed hotly.

The courier wondered whether she would actually accept Logan's offer to teach her physical combat. Perhaps learning defence would be a better option. After her experience with the slavers, Shakune had a newfound appreciation for the importance of being able to defend oneself.

If Logan hadn't managed to hold off the brute, her need to defend herself would be all the more desperate. With a half-torn leg, Shakune could hardly flee. She began to grapple around the alleyway, searching for something that she might be able to use as a weapon. A glass bottle? No- if the brute was that close to her, she'd be a dead woman anyway. Stooping down, the courier picked up a flat of wood, swinging it limply to and fro.

Footsteps.

Shakune almost shrieked, but manage to swallow down the cry before it erupted out of her lips. She dropped the plank of wood, scattering it down onto the cobbles noisily. As she backed herself against the wall, Shakune realised who it was.

"Logan." He had seemingly dealt with the thug, though Shakune couldn't be too careful. As he stalked towards her, the courier glanced nervously back down the mouth of the alley. "where's--"

He silenced her with a kiss, which surprised her even more than his ability to hold off the brute. Shakune broke off sharply, puzzled. She was not a timid woman, or someone who shied away from sex. In fact, Shakune the Slut was a nickname shared between the wives of the men she had slept with.

But she didn't usually mix business with pleasure. Mostly because her clients were ugly old gang members, but Shakune also felt such an act would sully her livelihood. Did she really want this happen with Logan? What if she needed to hire him as a bodyguard again? She was hardly the marrying sort; the longest monogamous relationship Shakune had, had lasted approximately seven days and ended dramatically when she slept with another woman without inviting her then partner.

But then again...

She was only a woman, with lusts and desires that heated her loins and made her hungry for the company of other men and women. And Logan was certainly attractive, she couldn't deny that.

"Oh, petch it." She concluded finally. All at once, Shakune instantly began tearing at Logan's clothes, tugging and ripping them desperately. She may be half-crippled, but she'd still be able to show him a good time.

Blank. Logan had forgotten the effects that kissing a woman gave him. It made his mind go blank and forced instinct to guide his actions. The natural instinct to reproduce now roared inside him, raging where his fingers held a grasp on Shakune's figure. At first he wanted to calm her down, now he wanted to ravage her.

Logan heard the sounds of clothing drop. It was faint in his ear but woke him from his trance. He realized that his skin was now a little colder. His coat had been removed and now lied on the ground behind him. Shakune was now working on his shirt.

With little time wasted Logan took his shirt off. It was swift and incredibly fast. In less than a tick his abs where raw and rubbing against Shakune's chest. His large muscles where wrapped around her once again, embracing her tightly. So tight, in fact, that she would look as though she was becoming one with him.

He would not relent with her lips, only attack them more vigorously as they continued. His fingers would begin to fall from her waste to her thighs and, surprising even himself, he would pick her up and slam her against the nearest wall, attacking her like a wild lion would his mate, full of lustful passion.

What am I doing? He would begin to think as he would suddenly rip open Shakune's shirt, not taking a moment to pull it over her head. What am I doing? I shouldn't do this. She is a client and... there are people... men after us... It's still dangerous here.

Everything he did will now be rough. Shakune would be a meal to Logan, one he scarfed down rather than savored. When he touched her, she would feel his strength in its force. When he kissed her lips, neck, and chest it would be energetic unstoppable licks.

His mind would go blank again, and for a moment he thought, I'll kill who ever turns that corner.
