Felicitations, my dear Alvads!
Yet another season has come and gone, and yet here we remain! There are faces old and new, and to each I offer you a warm welcome back! The fall has brought with it, as always, a fresh set of changes for the city, both IC and OOC. If you have questions, concerns, or just general rambling, please feel free to do so here.
Now down to the business of things:
Please update your ledgers for summer expenses. If you haven't done so already, please deduct the
living expenses that you played the season past. This
must reflect the manner in which you played. If deducting your expenses is going to take you negative, please
PM me and we will work out the details.
Do not deduct a lower cost of living if you did not play at that level. Please register in the character registry before playing in Alvadas. Most of you have already done so, so kudos to you! Those of you who haven't to plan to play in Alvadas, please do so. It only takes a moment of your time, and it provides a very accessible way to let the other players know a little bit about you and your PC!
Please finish your job threads as soon as you can and submit a wages request to my office. These threads do not need to be graded in order to count as job threads, they only need to be completed. There was recently a site-wide rule that job threads need to be at least 2000 words. Please try to reach this goal, however, as it is a relatively new rule, I won't be enforcing it with any degree of severity as long as you show you put effort into your threads (or whatever you could muster for the dreaded job thread

).
If you have not received a storyteller secrets thread detailing your job permissions, please PM me. I believe I updated the majority of your threads (and sent out PMs to those of you who did not have them), but if I missed you, please don't let me pass you by!
If you do not have a job and would like one within Alvadas, please submit a request in my office. If you do not have current housing (or a tent), please PM me. We can work out either a housing situation or homelessness, depending on what it is you're looking for.
Now! There has been a large change to
The Womiyu as well as
The Speakers. Please take some time to review both the location and the article so that you are aware of how they interact with the city. I'll be adding a blurb about The Speakers into the
player's guide which will hopefully answer the majority of your questions about them. If there is something more you want to know I haven't addressed, however, please do ask!
Finally, I'd like to take a moment to explain the "event" on the 91st. It won't be a traditional moderated thread. In fact, I'm not sure I'll need to moderate any of your threads on that day. It will be a single post detailing the events of the festival, covering a set span of time. Once it is posted, you are all free to thread on the 91st however you see fit (though anything you feel requires moderation or you're not sure on, please don't hesitate to PM me with questions or permission requests). I will be posting the prompt near the end of this month (September) so that you will have some time to get those threads going, if you're so disposed to.
Finally lastly in conclusion: I am very glad to see new faces as well as those who have become familiar and close to my heart. A city is little without players to write in it, and I have been very blessed to have skilled artists with thoughtful characters that I enjoy reading. You have all shown and taught me things I never thought to learn, and I am very, very grateful to be given the privilege of being your resident Domain Storyteller. Never, ever stop creating stories, whether it be in the medium of text on a screen, ink on paper, or with the very steps of your own two feet. Never accept "no" as a be all end all; where your heart pulls you, let your mind find the way. Unless, of course, you want to be a dragon. We're not going to do that here. Unicorns though...

I digress. Thank you all for what you bring to the city. I will do my very best to help each and every one of you with your own creative desires, and I hope you will do the same for me and those around you.
