Of course your vote counts silly! Everyone who takes the time to play here gets a say in how the world is shaped :]

I am very keen on bringing some mean old bugs to life for the area. Ants is a great start!

Oh good god I just realized that if this is stylized in the way of the American midwest, there are rattle snakes aren't there? Well there is one traveling thread right there, Zephari getting freaked out by one.

It's not an exact copy, it's just more like that than the Africa everyone seemed to be writing.

But on that note, yes there are snakes, no I will not be listing them asap. Everything is a work in progress.

Can I make a thread involving a rattlesnake? It would just be a fun but slightly dangerous thread, which is what I enjoy writing for Zephari the most.

Fire ants and rattlesnakes... and probably a species of blood-sucking bat or two. Maybe a blood-sucking snake that drains cattle and/or people? Or snakes that can somehow glide through the air over short distances? The fire ants are already giving me nightmares!

I'm tempted to try creating something based on wolves. :)

Ooh, what if there was a bird that had been changed mentally instead of physically by the djed storm, and became super intelligent? Not dangerous, per se, but a really, really effective pest that can observe and very quickly learn how to untie knots, avoid/trick guard animals, get into stored food, enter tents, pick locks, recognize arrows being pointed at them, etc. Could be especially difficult if they were based on ravens or magpies, which have been known to mimic human speech to get what they want.
