No birds were chirping, and no snow was snowing. Still no sign of Morwen and already Mizahar is more than ten days into the season. With the winds just a little windy, and Syna's light was warm and ever so comforting. Comforting enough to go outside and get a free drink from someone, and to do that would be to try and steal from those who least expect it, and from those who are foolish enough to expose such value.

Though, Avinasai wasn't at an open area yet, she was still inside her house planning her schedule for today. She packed up a small vial of hand-made poison into her pocket, just in case if she needed a plan of escape and when things go wrong. Something was always bound to go wrong. Avinasai slipped her entire pouch of Mizas in one of her pockets. One of her pockets appeared to be a little bulgy, but she didn't mind. Where Avinasai was heading, there was nothing that anyone could worry about. The Seaside Market has it's own taste of adventure, and there are new people who come and visit every day of the year. It was always interesting to Avinasai how people could walk in and out to get what they need and leave. If Avinasai wanted to make something happen she would have to do it quick. Thorne grabbed her rapier, and hid her coin purse behind a chipped piece of stone that she found one time after she was planning out her room one day.

With a huff, Avinasai retrieved her cloak from the table, and headed out the door and hoped to find some loose change. However odd it seemed. It was a thing she did every now and then to get by. Even though, being a poison crafter, she didn't need a lot of spare change, but it was what she did with her friends before they we're killed.

Avinasai stepped out of her house and headed towards the Seaside Market, with hope that she'll be able to steal some money.

OOCI'm sorry that it's so short... just wanted to give you an opportunity to introduce Kelski in this thread before I make any assumptions! If you'd like me to change anything please let me know!

Kelski chafed at her new collar. Twisting her neck awkwardly she bent and stretched around the thick leather choker as if simply being annoyed at its presence would eliminate it. Jaren had sent off to someone in the city to have it made, then had promptly handed it to her and ordered her to decorate it with a heavy band of silver and some semi-precious gems that made her look important and set her in the direct line of sight for thieves. He claimed nothing of his could be seen dressed or decorated plainly. As thick leather it was stiff and unyielding. As an item heavily embellished by a jewelcrafter, it was weighted torture. To add insult to injury it had an actual metal ring he could clip a leash too.

Kelski hated it. She hated him as well. The man had no notion that a Kelvic might have feelings, and even if he did he certainly wouldn't put anyone's needs before his own.

When she'd said something about its discomfort, he'd simply dragged her to another part of the Barracks and showed her where a fireplace held branding irons to induct members into the gang and brand them. He'd taken one that wasn't red-hot off the wall and had patiently explained to her that the collar had an alternative. Then he'd carefully described how he'd heat the metal to red hot and press it into the back of her hand. He'd actually done that with the iron he'd taken off the wall, letting Kelski's mind take in the sensation and imagine what it would feel like burning into her flesh. She'd been trembling when he was done and as he'd re-hung the iron back on the hook, amused at her terror, the collar had seemed not so heavy suddenly.

Then he'd rummaged through her things, calling most of her clothing rags, and had promptly ordered several more outfits for her to wear while she was 'representing' him. The whole incident seemed to amuse him though Kelski felt like he was a child and she was his living doll he played dress up with.

He'd worked her hard, first helping to finish the little jewelsmithery adjacent to his main room, then to work on some 'gifts' he had planned to send to others. Kelski hadn't complained. It was in her best interest that Jaren saw her as a tool and not a toy. And for the most part he had, leaving her alone as long as he wasn't drinking. Mostly he went out drinking with friends and colleagues. But when he drank alone at home, things could turn ugly.

Twelve days since K'irr had sold her and Kelski thought it already felt like twelve years. So she threw herself into her work, loosing herself in the gleam of metal and the shape and beauty of gems. And it wasn't until Jaren noticed how pale she was and how withdrawn that he put a halt to it.

Calling one of his guards, Zukai, Jaren had charged the guard with taking her out into the air and showing her a bit of the city. Kelski had looked surprised while Jaren had rolled his eyes and made sure her collar was hanging so its emblem could be seen.

"I want you out in the city, Kelski, being seen... being envied. I've spread the word I have a new jeweler working for me. Coupled with the gifts you've fashioned for me and that collar you wear, more doors will open and I might be able to climb this ladder a bit. That's doubly true if you are recognized. If anyone asks for you, refer them to me. And be sure you get their names so I know who might be sniffing around." He'd turned to Zukai then and ran his hand down her jawline, smiling slowly.

"Such pretty ladies. Wear nice things. I want you, Zukai, well armed, but soften the look with cosmetics and bare midriffs. Both of you... make sure the Kelvic is decent too. I've put some clothing in that closet in Kelski's workshop where she sleeps? Pick something pretty there but keep it nice. Those clothes are not yours so don't get too attached. I want you both seen. Men will appreciate it. Sunberth is a pig stye filled with pig piss. A pair of roses glittering in the filth will get noticed." He said with a laugh and handed Zukai a few modest coins to provide food and drink for the pair and maybe a trinket or two.

The pair had followed Jaren's orders and now walked quietly among The Seaside Market. Kelski had hated it immediately. It looked as though it flooded routinely with the tides and had a brimy slightly rotting scent that almost offended her senses. Glancing sideways at Zukai, she wondered what the guard thought of the whole thing.

Everyone... absolutely everyone looked like they would kill or rob them in a heartbeat.

Zukai strapped on her boots with determination. Corine had said they would be training for most of the day. Which meant only three stops bathroom, food, and exhaustion. He would not let the girl slack off just because she was not on patrol. The girl was glad that the man was so passionate about getting her where she needed to be skill wise. If he did not care, she was not sure that her loyalty as his roommate would mean much.

Standing up, the Myrian tapped the toe of her boots to the ground making sure her foot was securely in place before stepping out of her bunk. The girl walked out in a pair of pants and a tank top that exposed her shoulders and just a hint of her stomach. She had fastened her kopis to her side again before grabbing a couple of gold mizas and walking out. There was hardly ever a time the girl had to pay for her food, but occasionally the pair decided to go somewhere besides the Gold Lodge.

“Hurry up we do not have all day Zuk!” Corine called before walking into the training area.

Picking up her pace, the girl jogged over and slowed to a walk upon entering. Moving to the center of the area, she saw the training dummys and took out her kopis. Getting in to position, the girl moved slowly around getting close before striking. Her hand whipped forward and slashed across the chest. Jumping back on her toes, the girl bounced some and “evaded” an attack before repeating her movements from before. The man watched the girl go through several exercises that they had worked on several days earlier.

“Remember stay light on your feet. The faster you are, the harder it is for your opponent to hit you,” Corine called.

The girl had tried to slack off some to breath, but he was right in battle an enemy would not slack off. Glaring, she bounced forward and hit harder than the last five times and got her weapon stuck. Jerking back the girl nearly lost her balance when the blade did not budge. Groaning, she put one foot on the chest of the dummy and pulled as hard as she could. It finally slid free causing the girl to land hard on her backside. Groaning, she sat up and coughed some waving away the dirt and dust that had flown into the ground upon her impact. Corine erupted in laughter at the sight before him; the myrian was normally very careful about her movements. But it seemed her frustration had gotten the better of her. Looking over he grunted when another member of the raiders called for Zukai to follow him.

“Why?” Zukai asked with a slight glare. The girl was not fond of being interrupted during practice especially for their pompous know it all boss.

“He did not say. Hurry up he doesn't like to be kept waiting,” the man said and turned walking off.

Waving the girl hurried after the male still dusting herself off. Looking up a scowl crossed her face seeing Jaren had a new “pet” this time. The girl kept silent when the man told her to take the other female out for some “fresh” air. A growl crept up her throat, but she forced it down. As much as the girl did not care for the man standing before her; she had no choice but to do as he wished. When he ran a finger up her jawline, the girl could not stop herself from nearly biting him. The man jerked his hand away just before her teeth had connected with his hand and glared at her slightly. Several of the other members in the room snickered, most had seen her bite Corine their first time meeting for doing the exact same thing.

“Fine. Let's go,” Zukai said. The pair walked out and got dressed, sighing she allowed the other female to put make up on her, “I have to get a couple of blades from the armory stay close.”

The pair stopped off so that Zukai could grab another blade that was similar to her Kopis. It was the kukri, the main difference was that one was sloped more than the other. Strapping it to her other side, the girl also grabbed a couple of daggers and attached one to her right boot and fastened the other to her left boot. Looking at the bows, the girl decided not to use one. Long distance would be useless in a close range battle.

“Alright we will go to The Seaside Market first,” Zukai stated leaving no room for arguments.

The girl walked beside the new comer with a yawn bored out of her mind. Any time her companion wanted to stop, the raider would halt and looked around watching for any of the other gangs or thieves that would appear.

Stepping on the wrong Tile (Kelski)

Sunberth was as close as you can get with adventures and fun. Fun wouldn't be the perfect term, but it's what was close in Avinasai's head. She walked down the streets all the way from her home towards the Seaside Market, mostly to pick-pocket as it was a usual thing for Avinasai to do. If she had someone to talk to, that would be nice. She did enjoy talking, but mostly when it came down to business or something closely related to it. Otherwise, when she does like to talk; it would usually be because she would be bored, or she just needed someone to talk to.

However, stealing from people was fun too.

Avinasai smiled as she thought about stealing money from the unobservant. It was always fun to play tricks, and play jokes on others. Especially on days when she best needed it. The boring ones. Thorne glanced around and had taken in the detail with the world around her... well with Sunberth around her. She's been living in Sunberth in so long that she doesn't normally take the time to observe her surroundings. With the light outside, it made everything more hospitable. Avinasai knew where she was going. She knew the different types of people. She's done it all before. Many times prior to today. Pick-pocketing wasn't one of Avinasai's specialties though. She had to be slick, and nab some from the stalls. If she's lucky, she'd get at least something.

With quick steps, and a clear mind, Avinasai quickly made her way towards the Seaside Market. As of right now, the tides have not been raised yet. Though, there's just a matter of time before they were. The amount of conversation was high with activity. People of all different descents we're making conversation. Then, that was when Avinasai found her first target as she was scanning the market. A man by the looks of it, who was close enough for Avinasai to reach without much hassle. He didn't appear to be as strong as a Syliran Knight. He had a smaller frame than the average Knight of a man. Though, this man was clearly not a Knight in any shape or form. Neither was Avinasai, but she understood how to use a rapier. She needed to be careful. It's always good to be careful when wandering around an open location.

"That's fifteen Golden Mizas." The vendor explained as he was standing still and eyeing his client with a suspicious look. He wanted to get his worth for the cooking Toolkit that he had to pay ten Golden Mizas for. He needed to get a nice profit somehow. Even if it was five more gold. It couldn't hurt. The vendor was quite tall, but he was thin. Almost like a stick. Avinasai watched from afar as she waited for her chance to try and steal from the vendor. Even if Avinasai knew that this man was trying to make a good business, Avinasai was pretty devious when it came down to men who were filled with greed.

Men here in Sunberth can be dirty. Very dirty indeed. Even when it came down to money, sometimes more dirtier than most. Men play mind games on their targets and hatch up a plan to take a profit home with them. Or use the profit on woman, and abuse them any way they wanted. So this was a reason why Avinasai would normally pick-pocket men like this scum every day. Was so that he couldn't use the profit to abuse his money in any way. It was to protect the woman any best way Avinasai could, and she hoped that she would be saving at least one today... possibly herself even.

The man who was buying the cooking toolkit grumbled a bit as he seemed to be in a hurry. Or he just wanted to make sure that he could beat the tides before they rise. However, the man was walking away a little faster than Avinasai had expected and that meant that Avinasai couldn't really steal the golden Mizas from the vendor. She watched the vendor stash his coins in his pocket as he smiled greedily
He couldn't hold the smile in, and watched the rest those who passed him without saying or even taking a glance at what he has to sell.

With a sigh. Avinasai headed further down the market, and mingled with the rest of the city. She was like every other being within this market (and the rest of the city). She might've looked like an average woman with good licks, but she had other intentions. Although, as she was walking. Avinasai spotted an odd party of people. A woman with white and black hair, a Myrian who was also a woman, and a male. Who seemed like he was a strong figure. Possibly a soldier of some sort.
It was such an odd party, and Avinasai wanted to get closer before she herself would get noticed. It looked like they were looking for something. At least so Avinasai thought. Avinasai ambled closer and picked up her pace. However, Avinasai noticed the necklaces and jewels that the black and white haired woman was wearing. They looked quite delicate, and beautiful. It sort of reminded Avinasai of herself. The beauty of the gems. Not the woman. The jewels seemed well done. Or at least it looked better than what Avinasai could ever do, and Avinasai hasn't had any jewellery for some time so she decided to go up and ask.

It was unusual for her to ask such questions, but Avinasai wanted to know. "Excuse me." She began and hoped that the three could hear her. "I've noticed the jewels around your neck." Avinasai said as she walked beside Kelski. "Mind sharing some details about the piece? It seems rather detailed and I haven't had jewelery in a long time... mind you since I was maybe twelve perhaps." She hoped that they didn't mind her joining them, but then again Avinasai didn't really care if they did or didn't mind her striking a conversation. This market was a nice place to have a nice conversation. At least before the tides rise.

Stepping on the wrong Tile (Kelski)

Kelski didn’t feel like she could really say anything in front of her assigned guardswoman. The woman didn’t look human though Kelski didn’t know her race, and was gruff and strange. Her voice gave no quarter and seemed absolutely dead set on being firm. Zukai didn’t seem warm or welcoming in any way so the Jeweler simply avoided talking to her. The Kelvic had given up on finding any allies among the people in Sunberth. Zukai was very typical of the people Kelski met. So the Kelvic decided she had nothing but her work – needed nothing more - and that was enough. People weren’t friendly and they usually didn’t talk to you unless they wanted something. The Sea Eagle had decided to simply wait, bide her time, and when she knew enough and had enough she’d find an opportunity and fly away.

It was as simple as that. An Eagle always had her wings and her pride, and so long as she was smart about things, she’d keep both intact.

Kelski hadn’t noticed the woman who approached and spoke to them since she was busy looking around and mostly looking down, avoiding stepping in feces and dank backed up water that lined the lanes of the market. The woman’s voice caused her to startle slightly and she stopped walking to politely listen. Foregoing any sort of introduction, the woman immediately wanted to know about her jewelry. Kelski studied the woman, noting her beauty and the way she dressed finer than most of the people in the market. She had a hint of humor on her face as if she laughed a lot or enjoyed life. The Kelvic didn’t know what to say.

The thick collar around her neck that had bothered her most of the day - every day – had drawn the woman’s attention? She tilted her head and swallowed at the choker that bore the emblem of the Sun’s Birth. She opened her mouth to speak but wasn’t sure what to say. The truth? What did it matter? The Kelvic closed her eyes a moment then spoke quietly.

“It’s a slave collar.” Kelski said simply. She waited quietly, saying nothing for a long time, before she continued her thought. “He wanted it to look fancy. So I lined it with a strip of silver and then picked out a selection of inexpensive but pretty semi-precious gemstones. They are mostly agates and put them on the silvered band in a very simple wrap setting. I’m a jeweler of sorts.” The Kelvic said, reaching up to stroke at the collar.

“The pendant is the emblem of my owner’s gang, The Sun’s Birth.” The Kelvic Eagle said, dipping her head and letting the woman get a good look at it. The woman would have suggested that if the stranger complimenting it could get it off, she could have it. However, the whole discussion on branding was still fresh in her mind and Kelski wanted to guard the use of her hands without painful brands within the edge of her life. There would be no encouraging theft or gifting of her slave collar if she had anything to say about it.

“I’m Kelski.” The Kelvic added, remembering her manners suddenly. She glanced at Zukai but wasn’t about to introduce the woman or presume to talk for her.

Sighing the girl rubbed her forehead while they walked around the market. She figured it was not fair to snap on the dark haired woman. Jaran was her main irritation, but she could not just kick his ass into the next season. The woman had planned on coming to the market and looking at some of their wares later on in the season. So she decided to take advantage of the assignment. Looking over at her, the myrian popped her neck and cleared her voice some.

“Look, don't mind when I snap. I don't like Jaran much, I'm not sure anyone under him does. He is a pompous asshole that likes to throw his weight around,” Zukai said while not looking at the girl, “why did Jaran buy you exactly? You are not like the other women he has brought in to the barracks before.”

Corine branched off from the girls shortly after they made their first stop at one of the stalls. Zukai was not bothered by him walking with them since he was on his way towards the docks. The Myrian let the newcomer look at the items first. The girl spotted the board across the area and made a mental note to go and see what was written there. A voice behind them, caused the woman to immediately grab her kopis and turn on her heels. Another female had approached them and was just staring intently at the girl with black hair.

Forcing a snarl to stay in her throat, the girl took a good look over the outsider trying to decide if she was a threat or not. Starting at her face, dark eyes roamed down her body making sure to note any kind of weapons or places they could be hidden. Narrowing her eyes some, the girl relaxed her shoulders some not seeing anything out in the open, but her hand remained on the hilt of her kopis. If there was one thing practice had taught her, never let your guard down around your opponent. Hearing the black and white haired woman's name Zukai rolled it around in her mind for a moment. Kelski. When it was clear that the young girl did not know what else to say she stepped forward.

“Who are you? I do not recognize you,” Zukai said with a light growl, “I am the guardian of this woman. No one gets to her except through me, speak or leave. We have things to do.”

The girl made it very clear from her posture, that the girl before them was not a welcome addition to their party. She took her job to protect Kelski very seriously; especially since she did not want to hear Jaran should anything happen to her while under the girl's protection.

Even if it was just a collar that was used for slavery. The woman in front of her, who went by the name of Kelski had added some semi-precious jewels and fashioned them onto the collar to make her gorgeous. Avinasai listened intently as to what the dark and white haired woman was saying. Avinasai felt guilty confronting the slave, knowing that she was lucky herself when she had voided a small minor gang by poisoning and stabbing the man who called himself leader at. She was sure if she didn't act fast, she would have had been a slave as well.

"Your work is still stunning..." Avinasai said with a little bit of unease as she was complimenting the woman. She couldn't steal the jewelry, she even claimed they were fake. Kelski was still a slave. It slimmed down the choices if what she could be as a race, but Avinasai assumed that the least she could be was a human. Her rapier was tucked hidden under her cloak. She always brought her rapier with her, especially when you wanders around Sunberth and then suddenly meet a slave of the Sun Birth's. Avinasai nodded and took a slow step back, and hoped that they didn't notice her slight distrust with the gang. In fact, she didn't trust any gang. The only one that she trusts and talks to is Bashful.

At the Slums, no one really visits The Majestic. So Avinasai was able to be left alone. She's been that way for years now. She wondered why today was so different compared to other outings where she went and pick-pocket people. It was definitely concerning. Perhaps Avinasai needed to talk to someone? Or maybe she just found jewelery interesting. With her own pretty frame, jewelery would be a nice addition on her body.

She just hoped that whatever Kelski had to offer wasn't expensive. Avinasai was running quite dry this season.

"Name is Thorne. You know, like a rose?" Avinasai said. Her hands never reached her blade. She was thinking about it, but had actually never caressed the hilt. It would also give the fact away that she had a blade hidden under her cloak.

Then the darker skinned woman stepped up. She had the caramel skin like a Myrian, and the dark hair too. It seemed that they were quite busy.

"Well... That's no way to talk to a customer." Avinasai said as she placed her hands on her side and angled her hips to show off her beautiful frame. She made sure not to touch her sword though. It could possibly be seen from the bottom if one looked closely they could probably believe that there was a sword bulging out from behind the cloth, but they would have to be intelligent to know if the sword was actually behind her cloak. Or be very observant. Though, Avinasai wasn't looking to fight anyone. Not today.

"What if I wanted to talk to-" something wet was touching her feet. It seemed like she had spent a little too long here at the market anyhow. "The tides." Avinasai mumbled to herself, she then looked back up to the rest of the group. "If you'd want to make it to your next location. I wouldn't mind coming along." She wasn't asking. She was just emphasizing the fact that she didn't want to stay here long enough. She didn't need to get her boots wet. Or any of her clothes for that matter.

If the group decided to move along, Avinasai would join them anyhow. She wouldn't mind some conversation as she moved along.

OOCHopefully, I did okay with the tide description. If they only move inwards from the coast up I can alter it, but I perceived the tides to form above from under the ground if that makes sense, and then wondered if the water from the coast is combined too??? Also let me know if I have to edit anything please!

Kelski looked up at Zukai, surprised the woman spoke to her. No one in Sunberth had ever explained themselves to her or bothered to directly address her unless it was to make a request. Her eyes softened and she looked curiously at the young Myrian. And while she agreed with Zukai about Jaren, she didn’t want to openly agree with the woman – at least not yet – because she didn’t know what was a trick and what wasn’t. The question, though, was unavoidable.

“He purchased me from a Svefra because I’m a jeweler. He wants me to make things to buy favors and bribe his contacts and acquaintances with. The other women he brings to the barracks I suspect are his whores. He doesn’t lay with me. Sometimes he looks at me like he might especially when he’s drinking, but deep down I think he feels his stones will turn black and shrivel if he even remotely associates with a beast, even one that can trade her feathers for skin.” Kelski said softly. She knew the other woman’s name, but she didn’t dare use it. She didn’t have the permission or social standing too. As far as Kelski knew, Zukai was just another one of Jaren’s minions.

“I do not wish for a guard. I have no where to go. But Jaren thinks differently. I am sorry you are forced to follow me.” The Kelvic said softly, meaning the words. She was solitary by nature except for the deep seeded drive inside her to find a bondmate. And that was a drive she tried to ignore even though she searched in every face and in every meeting for someone likely. It was a part of her she hated because it was a part she couldn’t control. Jaren, definitely, hadn’t been a candidate. Thorne might be, because she seemed so nice. Kelski had a hard time reading humans and understanding their subtle nuances. Zukai she'd dismissed because the woman had seemed so hard, angry, even resentful.

She was relieved when Zukai’s companion left. One guard was bad enough, two was insufferable.

When the woman… Thorne… stopped Kelski, and they began to converse, the Jeweler ignored Zukai’s action briefly before stepping back and giving the two women room. When Thorne called herself a customer, Kelski lifted an eyebrow and didn’t say anything until Zukai had her say and confronted the woman. Then she said simply…

“My apologies, Lady Thorne, but I have nothing for sale and cannot take commissions unless it is through my Master. Your compliments flatter me and thank you for them. You can contact Jaren Joander at The Barracks. I have no supplies of my own and he owns me so I must act only on his accord. Everything I do comes through his orders. He doesn’t even allow me coin of my own. I walk this market without anything in my own pockets to purchase things with.” Kelski said, running her hands down her cloak as if that thought bothered her.

She hoped the woman understood. It would be a good thing if Kelski could get a few customers through Jaren by word of mouth. “You are very beautiful. I hardly think you need gems and metal to assist you in that department. All I could do for you is accent and emphasize how you already look with a headband or perhaps a set of earrings. They would have to be understated though. Your face demands subtle not overbearing.” The Sea Eagle said gently, offering the woman a tentative smile.

“Unless this woman here, who is indeed in charge of me, has a problem with it… I would gladly accept the company of a woman such as yourself who has obviously been in Sunberth a while. I would love to hear more of the city….” She said softly, glancing at Zukai and hoping it was agreeable to the caramel skinned woman.

They laugh at me because I am different.
I laugh at them because they are all the same.

xx Day of Season, 5xx A.V.

Zukai looked at Kelski and nodded gently listening to her. She rolled the information around in her mind for a bit. The girl started to piece together figuring out exactly what was in the man's mind. It seemed the woman would be used to bring money in to Jaran. She was just another investment to the man, or at least for the moment. The question was, what would become of her when he saw no need for the girl.

Though the Myrian highly doubted it would bother her in any way. It was the protecting her that bothered the young raider. Her mind needed to be on training and proving herself, not baby sitting some brat that Jaran owned. Sighing the girl's mind drifted to her current assignment of protecting the Silver Tongue. She wanted to know what was so important about the business if it still did not align itself with the Sun's Birth. Were they hoping that it would the more they protected it?

“A jeweler eh? It seems he has gotten a little better taste than the women he lays with at night. Stinking whores you can smell them all over the barracks,” she stated with a snort.

Zukai was mildly surprised to hear of the woman trading her skin for feathers. She had only seen a few perform such a task, and they had called themselves kelvic. But that had been many years ago while the teen was still a child in Taloba. She regarded the woman for some time carefully as if trying to figure out what to say or how to act. Most of the time, the girl acted on her first impulse; but at the moment it seemed that would not be the wisest action.

“You must be kelvic then. I have meet a few in the past; I was very young at the time and have very few memories of it,” the girl explained.

Thorne.

A fitting name as she was slowly becoming a larger thorn in Zukai's side. The long the pair stood still and talked to the woman; the more of a target they were becoming. Her grip tightened on the hilt of her kopis. The outsider was trying to be snarky with the teen either due to her age, or she thought the girl wouldn't do anything to her. She was sadly mistaken on both accounts it that were the case.

The way the woman before them moved her body seemed very odd to the Myrian; her people did not care about their looks. They focused more on their fighting ability instead. The very thought of the girl following them made the Myrian's skin crawl. The thought of someone following people around that she did not even know, puzzled the girl. As the water began to roll in, Zukai knew they were running out of time to stay in the market place. Growling she turned on her heels and looked over to Kelski ignoring the new comer.

“Kelski, we need to get moving before the water gets any higher. I do not like staying in one place for so long,” the girl said and began to walk away.

The girl growled a little to herself seeing that Thorne had followed them. It would seem the subtle hint of just ignoring her existence had not worked. It was at best a technique that truthfully only happened half the time it was used, and of course that would not turn out to be one of these times. She had to fight the urge to rub her face in aggravation knowing Jaran would shyke a chicken.

Listening close, the girl made sure to make mental notes on anything that was said. The hairs on the back of her neck rose causing her to look around them. Something felt wrong very wrong, the raider moved to where Kelski was hidden for the most part from prying eyes. Zukai felt like they were being followed by someone or something; this caused her eyes to dart around taking in each person the group of women passed.

“Keep your voices low. Something is not right,” the girl stated leaving no room for argument from either of them.

Shortly after the pounding of feet caused the girl to jerk around. The body barreling directly into her did not register fast enough for her to dodge out of the way. Instead she curled and kept her head from hitting the dirt floor first. Glancing down, the raider spotted the daggerhand tattoo. She instantly went for her kopis and took a swipe at the young boy. He barely dodged back in time to keep from receiving the blade in his temple. Rolling into a kneeling position she kept him in her line of sight at all times.

“I should have known. Trash lurking in our territory,” Zukai growled.

“Trash? Please you cannot seriously think your gang has any right to this place,” the boy growled and drew his slightly larger blade.

The world around them had went silent. It seemed the entire city wanted to see which would prevail this round. Sun's Birth or Daggerhand. Only time would tell who would walk away from the scrap.

Zukai mentioned to the others that they should keep their voices low. Avinasai figured that someone was watching them from the stalking shadows. She felt goosebumps all over her skin. Sunberth was always a place to keep a look out in. You never know what could happen. However, just a moment later when Avinasai went quiet, a Daggerhands tackled Zukai. Avinasai screeched, and struggled to pull out her rapier, but she was shoved to the ground by a sudden force. There was another man who was standing on top with a hatchet in his hand. Or it could have been a cleaver. However, Avinasai didn't care, she was being attacked by some Daggercock. She hated them more than the Sun Birth's, and attacking women, it was just bias.

"You bloody fool! You know where you're headin' love!?" The man smirked, and flipped his cleaver as he stood facing her. "How dare ya mess with a woman like me?"

" A woman who's affiliated with the Sun Birth's are scum, henceforth sluts."

"Comin' from a Daggercock!" Avinasai yelled at the man as she stood back up and withdrew her rapier. The man stood affixed for the lust of hurting Avinasai. He went straight in and swung St Avinasai with his cleaver, and Avinasai jumped back. She needed her space and didn't want to bump into Kelski, or Zukai. If she did more conflict was bound to happen.

Avinasai thrusted her rapier in the direction of the Daggerhand in front of her. She preferred not to die. The man blocked it with his cleaver, but with just enough dexterity. Avinasai pulled back. The man lunged for Avinasai and grabbed her by the wrist and shoved her against the wall.
Avinasai dropped her rapier, and the man dropped his cleaver, and there was a struggle between strength and will as Avinasai was pinned against a wall. His face was leaning into hers, preparing to lick his slobbery tongue all over her.
